First time went based on reviews. Pleasant, clean and employees friendly. Ordered the pork burrito. Very dry and tasteless. What I found upsetting was if was not made fresh it was a reheat. You could tell from the wrapping and dryness. How do many gave it a 4⁄5 star rating is shocking. The food was plentiful and the prices reasonable. But if I went back I would specify that I want a fresh dish not a reheat.

Salas bar was wonderful… The pork tacos were dry. Service was great. Would not recommend this place

Outstanding! No pretense, just great food(and lots of it) and great service. Plus a kick-ass salsa bar! Will be a definite«go-to» every time we are back in PC.

Nachos were delicious as was the various salsa options at the salsa bar. That was our favorite part of the meal — the free chips and salsa. The rest of the meal kind of went downhill from there. Based on prior reviews, we tried the carne asada tacos and the Sergio famous carnitas. Re: the tacos — the meat was flavorful, but the overall taco was nothing spectacular. We have definitely had better but decent value — $ 2.75 each. Re: the famous carnitas $ 12.95 — comes with pork, rice, beans, salad, and tortillas. There was a fair amount of pork(approximately 4 pieces or so) but it was definitely dry, under seasoned, and some pieces were more fat than meat(literally a huge chunk of fat approx 2x2x2inches with meat buried somewhere within it). Tortilla was also a bit too thick for my taste, and service was on the slow side(seemed like there was one or maybe two servers for the entire restaurant). Food is okay and likely a cheaper more affordable option in pricey Park City.

Very yummy Mexican food. Great little salsa bar. I had the mixed fajitas and they flavor and mix was wonderful. My husband had carne asada and also enjoyed it. Our waitress was also sweet and attentive.

It was pretty good. My husband loves his fajitas. They are the real deal. My enchiladas were good but I think the fajitas were better. The restaurant is very casual. Service is friendly and happy. Overall I was pleased.

Unexpected Delight When we walked in on a Thursday night, the place was almost empty — usually not a good sign. But with the arrival of the crispy chips and an extensive help-yourself salsa bar, things started to look up. Then we noticed the size and were salivating at the look of other orders going to tables around us, and we started to get excited. Once our food came and we started digging in, things at our table got very quiet — everybody was VERY into their dishes — and for everyone, it was delicious. The size of the portions also blew us away — HUGE. We are four big boys, and only two of the four actually finished their meal. The other two got to take home a bunch of food and now get to look forward to warming that up for a nice meal later. DEFINITELY recommended…

Coño. This place has some tasty Mexican food. And if you can’t eat 10 pounds of burrito I’d recommend sharing your meal with someone. It’s a lot of food. I had the carnitas plate and it was DELICIOUS. Also, the chips they bring out when you first sit down are super good. Salsa is super hot.

After seeing all the reviews, I have to agree with the poor reviews. I ordered three tacos, pork, chicken and beef. The pork taco had mostly bones, and the chicken and beef were dried. My kids ordered the tilapia fish. It came deep fried and was over cooked and thus dried. The chicken in the enchiladas was dried and the beans were not seasoned. The only highlights were the salsa and chips and the Mexican rice. There is a large selection of salsa but everything is very spicy. I am from southern California and we are very lucky to have good Mexican food. This place was really disappointing.

Two words: food poisoning. This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I wouldn’t even call it Mexican food. I can overlook bad food, but not rotten food that causes sickness. Steer clear. Update: it should be noted that both my wife and I have received threatening messages containing racial slurs from what I assume is the owner or an employee of this establishment since leaving a negative review. I took a screen shot of the latest message and will forward to the proper authorities. Not only is the food bad but the people say awful things when you give an honest review. Will forward the message sent to me to the PC Police, Unilocal, and the BBB. The line was crossed. *spoke to the owner, said he had nothing to do with the racially charged response to my review.

If you come from anywhere in Southern California, steer clear of this place. I think we are very spoiled in California to have such amazing Mexican food. The food is beyond overpriced for food that is extremely oily and fried. When I asked if the beans were vegetarian she looked at me like I had 5 heads. Soggy and very bland. Decent salsa bar, but again the salsa was either fire engine hot or bland. Chips were stale and they charge you for a refill after the first basket.

Finally! If your craving some truly AUTHENTIC Mexican food, this is the place! Real properly cooked carnitas & carne asada-NO sweet meats-(sorry café Rio or loco lizard fans, this is the real deal), a great little salsa bar with plenty of options, and affordable. This place is super clean, super friendly & comfortable. I would strongly suggest you come here for a bite, I know I’ll be back! *mention your birthday & you’ll get a fun sombrero, little chocolate fudge cake, and a song by the owner himself!*

Best Mexican place in town I’m not sure what Ed is talking about in his review?!? This place is extremely affordable and the food has been perfect every time I go, witch is probably every other day,. If you are in the mood for Mexican food than this has got to be your first choice! The salsa bar is killer! I don’t often write reviews but I am willing to start a park city campaign to keep this place in business! I might even make a rent payment if I have to!

Naah. Not even close to great. Sorry, folks. Ungodly expensive. $ 23 for two burritos. That’s BMW Payment expensive. Plus two bucks for sauce. I saw in the menu that you had to pay for chips after the first serving, and homemade, my keyster. Absolutely nothing special. Had a carnitas burrito and a spicy chicken. The carnitas was dry and unflavored. Just boiled pork grilled on a plancha. No seasoning whatsoever. Perhaps they didn’t think it was necessary as you can Doctor it up at the volcano bar which wasn’t that hot. Soooo disappointing Here’s a tip: keep driving. I’m going to El Chubasco

Third time’s the charm(hopefully) for Mexican food in this spot. Sergio’s just may have found the right formula for what should be a great location. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and were pleased to find the place pretty full of Latino working guys and another family or two. My 17-yr-old son and I could not finish our meals. Generous portions. Very generous. First time at the place so we had to go with what they were most proud of: «Sergio’s Famous Carnitas» did not disappoint and they deserve to be famous. Braised and tender deliciousness combined — perfect. Everything accompanying was above par, too. The salsa bar was excellent, fresh and spicy. The staff was friendly and efficient. The menu was plenty extensive enough, but not so much that it seems like attention to detail would suffer. When they get a beer license from the Great State of Utah they will really have it going on.

Wow! What else can I say. We are from Texas and have great Mexican food and this is at the top of my list. 12 fresh made salsas? Your kidding me! We tried the entire batch and all were amazing. The tacos were spot on. We had carnitas, carne asada and barbacoa. All were delicious. The burritos were the size of a small football. We shall return!!!

Yes!!! Rarely am I a giver of 5 stars, but Sergio’s deserves it. Nice, clean, friendly atmosphere. The salsa bar is amazing!!! I think I tried almost all of them and it’s a flavor explosion. All are masterfully crafted. My favorite was the chipotle salsa. The chips were good too. Very fresh. It’s hard to find good tortilla chips… after living in Texas. For our main courses We had the carne asada and chicken mole. Both very good. This food totally took me back to Texas. No margaritas yet as their liquor permit wasn’t quite ready, but I’d love to try them when they’re ready. I am not from PC, but with the reviews of this and the other Mexican restaurants I can quickly see this place becoming an overwhelming favorite. My recommendations. A salsa bar happy hour with discounted Ritas/beer would be a hit. Also as far as my carne asada went I would have loved it chopped up a little. Would have made it easier to put into tacos without getting my hands so dirty. Try this place! You won’t regret it and you’ll become a regular!

This place is so good. Fresh and friendly. Carne Asada was so good and the Chile Relleno was yummy. Try the fresh salsa bar.

New restaurant in the old Lorenzo location next to the Holiday cinemas. I ordered the Albondigas soup and a Carne Asada taco. Tortillas are made fresh on site and are fantastic. Getting authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price close to town is really difficult. This is definitely worth a try.
