Love that chicken at Popeye’s, I dig the way it’s fried«the New Orleans way». I always get a classic 2 piece white chicken spicy w cajun rice. The shrimp are tasty too. The red beans and rice are creamy but usually not wet enough. Management don’t really seem connected to the spirit of chicken, so it lacks in flavor and a special touch 60% of the time. Like the new décor upgrade which has some tech savvy appointments !

I was craving some fried chicken after work late Saturday night. I went to Popeyes for the first time since childhood. It was very late so they did not have chicken nuggets available immediately, but the guy at the drive thru told me it would take a few minutes. I said of course I understand, it’s late and they probably started closing procedures. I was not upset at all but he apologized a lot for the inconvenience, which I told him it was not. After waiting in the parking lot for a few minutes he came out to my car, apologized, and told me that the cook had fried chicken strips instead of chicken nuggets. He seemed genuinely sorry and I told him over and over again that it’s okay. He then said he would give me a free dessert, so I took the cheesecake. I got away with getting 10 pieces of chicken strips for the price of 10 chicken nuggets, and a free cheesecake. I’m not sure if their boss was okay with this but as a customer I praise the customer service skills of this employee. He must have been exhausted this late at night but handled my request for chicken nuggets with respect. I know how hard it is in the customer service world to apologize for something out of your control, but customers really appreciate it.

They didn’t open at 10:30am as advertised on the Internet. At 10:45am an employee told us they would open at 11am. We waited the 15 minutes(along with 4 other cars in the drive thru) and nothing happened. At 11:05am I pulled around to the window and the manager rudely said it’d be another 15 minutes before they open. They could’ve told us that the first time and saved us the trouble. He acted like we were bothering him. No apology or contrition of any sort. Next time I’ll go elsewhere.

I love Popeye’s Chicken, as it’s always flavorful and good. I’ve never had a bad meal from here. I usually get the chicken tenders spicy or mild, and both come very crispy and fresh. The chicken always has a nice flavor to it. I also love their seasoned fries, as well as their biscuits. Their biscuits are nice and buttery and flakey, thick but not too thick. Their seasoned fries are just fantastic, crispy and flavored so well they don’t even need dipping sauce. Their red beans and rice are also very good. If you want fast food fried chicken, go here, because they’ve got the most flavorful food and good quality. I tried KFC once years after being a regular at Popeye’s and it was sad compared to Popeye’s chicken!

This was my second time at this establishment. I have to say that it’s the best popeyes I’ve had in all these years! Fresh isn’t even enough to describe it. Both times the man at the register was a delight(Carl). This will have to be a routine stop for me now when I come out this way. Till next time =-)

Love their chicken fingers, loaded chicken wrap and the Cajun fries, with the sweet heat sauce. Sometimes I do the drive through window which doesnt take too long. No complaints. :) You get what you ask for.

One of my fav spots to stop post giants game Probably one of the most consistent stores in the franchise in my experience. The chicken isn’t over salted and its always hot and fresh.

Worst popeyes I’ve been to so far. The service was extremely POOR, I would give it a negative 5 out of 5 stars. My friend & I tried ordering at the drive thru & the worker & the manager were so rude, I quote«we can’t do separate orders because we’ll get backed up»(we were the only car at the drive thru) I have never heard of this. When we went inside, the staff was EXTREMELY disrespectful they laughed and spoke Spanish and stared at us like idiots. I received my food with no sauce, In addition, we were charged a dollar and six cents for gravy. The chicken was old and dry, & I received the smallest chicken leg I’ve ever seen. I would rather drive an extra 10 minutes to go to the one on route 4. They need to hire a new staff with better manners. This is exactly how you lose customers.

The chicken is always piping hot here. Good service. Great location. Don’t forget to get your Cajun sparkle packets. Its the best kept secret in Popeyes.

Let me preface this review by stating I am an avid Popeyes fan. Considering Popeyes is a chain fast food restaurant, my main concerns are in regards to the service, the facility, and whether or not the food meets or exceeds the expectations of other Popeyes establishments I’ve been to. I give this particular Popeyes location a 5-star rating simply because the service is outstanding, the facility is most certainly acceptable by my standards, and the food exceeds the quality I’ve received at other Popeyes restaurants. For those reasons, this is my primary Popeyes location of choice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have noticed in the several visits I’ve made that if it is a slow day the staff will engage with their customers and ask if there is anything more they can provide to enhance the dining experience. Knowing the staff has been trained to take the initiative, rather than sit back and wait for the customers to go to them, is certainly very comforting. If you’re looking for some good ‘ol Popeyes fried chicken, this Paramus restaurant off Route 17 is definitely a good decision.

This is a poorly run location for Popeyes. It is clear the place lacks management. The place seems dirty and cluttered and the staff is trying but without the coordination of the work(flow) it is not working for the customers. I do like their spicy chicken(when it is well done). Too many years ago i had a wonderful trip to visit a friend in southern LA, in bayou country, and one day when we rushing to go out on the water to watch the birds we picked up a bucket of their chicken and biscuits which turned me down the path of loving spice/heat. So the mother ship of Popeye’s needs to do something to help their product, which is worth saving.
