Lord & Taylor

I absolutely love the people that work at lord and Taylor. Everyone is so sweet and willing to help with coupons and getting the sales and deals. When I shop at a store that sells high end brands I would expect the store to be clean. Recently I have noticed the cleanliness of this store going down hill, as a regular shopper it is upsetting. The dressing rooms are dirty, the carpet is filthy. Tissues left behind, white doors dis-​colored. I did not even want to try clothes on because of the dirt on the floor.

An ok Men’s shop
I got a pair of loafers last week, there were several sales associates in the footwear department. It was a quick and easy purchase.
sales associates have issues with knowing their sales items.
They never seem to know if an item is discounted or not.
This is not a one time occurrence.
I never know the true price till they ring it up.
Recently the men’s shop was flooded with some off brand clothing, hugely discounted
Felt like I waked into TJ MAXX

They have a pretty solid selection here, and I usually see something that I’m interested in every time I’ve come by. Another positive aspect of this place is that it’s not as crowded as the one in Garden State Plaza, at least during the times I’ve been here. I stopped by recently because I had accidentally bought a large size coat instead of a medium. I called ahead and asked if they had it in stock, and their employee told me that they did and that she would hold it for me. When I got there, the employee greeted me and was very friendly. She helped me and my family figure out which of the two sizes would be a better buy; it came down to a question of fashion vs. function, since one was bigger and less tight, but also didn’t look quite as good as the smaller one. I also happen to be very indecisive, so making even little decisions like this take me a while. Anyway, the entire time, the employee gave us great feedback, opinions, and was very helpful. I really appreciated her friendly demeanor and her patience as I struggled with what was an utter First World Problem.

My favorite stop for Contemporary Brands such as Free People, Vintage Havana, BCBG, C&C and high end denim! The presentation, selection and the prices are the best across all department stores in the area. I shop online and at this location at 1 – 2 times a week but only in the Contemporary clothing section (some jewelry). The store overall doesn’t have the cool vibe that the youth covet and they don’t carry the higher end designers that I wear but they still get high marks for the contemporary niche that I am shopping for.
Overall, always a enjoyable shopping experience and the staff is very friendly. We love Terry the personal shopper!

The store is a welcome option from other department stores in general.
I do expect a little more from Lord and Taylor.
Went to buy a pair of gloves.
How difficult could that be?
Well, fairly difficult when you’re buying leather gloves that are fitted and there’s no rhyme or reason to how they are stocked.
No one seems to be aware they are actually sized. And not small/​medium/​large. Fitted gloves have actual sizes like shoes and dresses. Found a pair I wanted but not in my size.
Oh well.
I start to peruse the dresses and am in the «Free People”(it’s a brand name) section where there are 3 female sales associates are standing at the register bitching about all the customers they despise.
They are all well aware I am standing right there as one even turns around from her conversation to look at me and simply go right back to how she hates the customers and how rude and nasty they all are.
Wow…
Just wow.
Overall, I am disappointed that this was my Lord and Taylor experience…

Lord & Taylor is a class act. Since I have a store charge card they send me coupons almost on a weekly basis.
They have all of the current styles and brands for clothing (women’s/men’s/children/teens). They have a women’s shoe department and sell unique Christmas decorations during the season.
The handbag collection has Coach, Michael Kors and lots of others.
L & T is perfect. They shouldn’t change anything.

Very nice store large selection of cloth. I love the kids section it has so much great things for kids and great sales specially with the coupon :). Awesome customer service.

Pretty rude service; was treated very differently from the granny in front of me who bought less, used a coupon and was offered a bag. Me? Here’s your stuff, Bye. This location is for the poofy poofy.

I like this store. It is generally a nice quiet shopping experience with good parking and sale prices and high quality merchandise. I am so disappointed that they are closing the home store. It was the best home store in the area! I’m pretty sure that most people didn’t even know it was there. The men’s section takes up most of the lower level… why does it need to spill into the old home store area?
I much prefer to hit up this store for department store needs than going to Garden State Plaza where the parking is out of control and the mall is just too big to manage without feeling overwhelmed.

Avoid this place at all costs. Seriously. I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant. The management is all over 70, the waitresses have no idea what’s going on, and the food is just not worth the hassle. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I will never go here again.
The garlic bread was good.

Good selection of merchandise but keep in mind, if you have a gift receipt, even if the person paid cash, they will not give you cash back!
In recent years, they’ve had a lot more sales which is a good thing as things here used to be out of my price range! This location, however, is a bit strange. It’s on the end of the Fashion center and has been there for literally eons. I wish they would update this mall a bit as it’s pretty disorganized and random and doesn’t fit the «clientele» of Lord and Taylors.

This L&T is pretty nice. They have a good selection of items but what I love the most about it is that everything is neatly arranged. I hate it when you go to a department store and everything is in some sort of laundry-​like pile on the floor (especially during sales). It’s nice they take the care to maintain a good appearance to their customers. Other department stores should follow suit.
