Smitty’s Build A Burger

I love Smitty’s! Such a welcome change from the endless chains in the Paragould/​Jonesboro area. The place is simple: burgers, crinkle cut fries, sodas and a few options like fried pickles, hot dog, or grilled cheese. The difference is fresh quality ingredients, clean, walk-​up ordering without a lame fast food vibe. Toppings Bar is fully equipped with fresh veggies, condiments, and various bottled sauces. Service is fast and no fuss. I hope to patron this place for years! Try it out and just say no to chain restaurants! Support indie business.

When it comes to burgers in Paragould, there isn’t much choice. There is the Hamburger Station, which has the best burger if you like a greasy mess like I do. This was my go to place when I wanted a good burger, and is certainly still on the list, but Smitty’s has taken my top spot. It’s basically a Fuddruckers. Fresh beef, good buns that don’t overpower the burger, a top it yourself bar with all the basics, plenty of name brand bottled sauces (They have A1 sauce too!). Plenty of hot crinkle fries and a seasoning salt if you want. They have some specials. Right now they’re doing buy one single get the second at half price on Tuesdays. The burger was very good and not greasy like Hamburger Station. The place was clean, and we didn’t have to wait long on the burgers and fries. The combo single with drink will set you back about 8 $, but worth it. Being that your only other choices in town are fast food or Chili’s, Smitty’s is a welcome alternative. I hope they stick around.
