The sandals are great, but the customer service from their dedicated web-site is TERRIBLE. I placed an order weeks ahead of the trip I needed the sandals for, but they still haven’t shipped, and I keep getting the runaround about stock problems. Hey, Chaco– if you can’t stock an item, then take it off of your website! I’ve also had to do all of the detective work myself because they don’t seem to be able to keep me updated by e-mail. I’d always read such good things about this company, but my experience has been really disappointing. I would have been better off if I had ordered the sandals from REI. Lesson learned.

I’ve had a Z/2 sandal for over 5 yrs now and a Flip for 2 yrs and enjoy them a lot between April and Nov(at least). I like to let my feet breathe. Chacos are easy to wear, go well with shorts and tees, good for walks, moderate hikes and approaches, and travel well. Chaco is a CO company with seemingly good ethnics, great custormer service, and cares about our environment and donates some of their profits to good causes. If you send it to them, they can also shorten the straps for you. Chacos are easy to clean too, time to throw mine in the washer! Downsides: — can cause dry, cracked heels and calluses(moisturize!) — doesnt mix well with broken glass — makes me look Boulder, when in Denver(not hipster approved?) — people spill beer on your feet — funny strap tan lines (Last downside can be ameliorated by mixing sunning time w/& w/o sandals.) Minus 1 star — Chaco had to move all production to China last year. Sure, you can’t avoid made in China for practically all outdoor gear, like TNF, M-Hardwear, Golite, etc. & my Keens were always made in China, but still, I’m disappointed, Chaco seemed cooler & more«out-of-the-box».

Oh how I love you Chaco sandals! I have been a faithful believer in your sandals for over ten years now. In that time, I have amassed quite a collection of your sandals. I swear, they are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn! Totally worth the money. I can even wear them to work! I also love the fact that they don’t smell, unlike so many other types of sporty sandals. Another thing I love is that you resole my sandals for a mere twenty dollars. What a way to invest in an amazing pair of shoes, and help the environment as well! Once you buy your first pair of Chacos, nothing else will compare!
