Amazing lunch! Owner stopped by table and provided free round of drinks. Pork dinners and Reuben was perfection. Try the vinegar slaw and fried pickles! Always stop here on our way to French Lick from Indianapolis.

Unilocal does it again! I love you guys as we came across this place while searching for restaurants. This gem is a hidden treasure about 8 mi/15 min drive from the French Lick resorts but definitely worth the experience! The double cut pork chop feeds 2 and it is a beautiful cut. My sister, who’s specialty is pork chop, gave theirs a rave review. Mac & Cheese — definitely a must try. Green beans were a bit salty but reminds you of that Southern homecooking. Pork rinds — should be an easy choice, right? Not here — ¾/5 flavors to choose from! Seasoned salt, crispy, etc. Ribs — It’s not quite as tender as «fall off the bone» but damn, it’s pretty close to it without it actually falling off. I could ding them on sauce and flavoring here but everyone has their preference. It was a bit dry while I like mine«lick your fingers» juicy. They do offer 4 different sauces to choose from but I just couldn’t find that sweet spot on this night. We happen to be arrive a little late and happened to eat right through closing time. The management staff added a nice touch as they came by to greet us and ensure we enjoyed our experience.

My entrée of ¼ smoked chicken, sweet potato fries(but actually waffles), onion rings, and Texas toast for $ 9.99 was sweet as the BBQ sauce I applied. The restaurant accommodated 16 in our party by seating us downstairs. My only concern was that the parking lot was like two levels with a hill. BTW, the fried pickles were salty. It was interesting that they make pork rinds with different flavors.

We had the pork chops w/baked potato and salad, it was very good. You will have to wait an extra few minutes but it is well worth it. James the chef is always interested in your review. I have posted photos.

Rib eye steak was deeeelish, pulled chicken was tender but a little cold, Mac and cheese was mushy, my son &husband enjoyed the Fat Boy, sweet potato fries were yummy, green beans tasted canned and steak fries were sitting under the heat lamp too long! Price was great for a party of 7 though!

Insane ribs. My wife and I were pointed there when staying at a local resort. I got the sampler which was good, but honestly I will eat a full slab of ribs by myself the next time I get there.

Hands down, this place has the best macaroni & cheese! The ribs, green beans and baked beans were amazing and all had just the right kick and spice. Our server, Kim, was one of the best servers I’ve had wait on me in a long time. Look forward to a return visit when we are in the area again.

There isn’t much in Paoli, so maybe this is 4 stars for Paoli, but I wasn’t impressed. We had the Porky’s Sampler Platter with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. It was sort of unmemorable, but I want to say it was disappointingly tough. If I remember correctly their beer drafts were rather boring too.

Excellent pulled pork with a variety of very tasty BBQ sauces. Also a great variety of sides, especially the baked beans. I’m starting to make Porkys a weekly tradition.

The wait staff was wonderful and that is the only reason they recieved 2 stars. The food is marginal at best. Ribs were good but uneventful. Fried pickles too salty to even eat. Potato salad on par with Kroger, if you like Kroger salads. Sweet potato fries were good but served with their special sauce that tasted a lot like maple syrup. The wings were over cooked, dry and without sauce or spice. The green beans appeared boiled past the point of flavorless. And the flys… don’t get me started on them.

With a name like Porky’s, you have to know that BBQ is on the menu. We arrived a little past noon, mid-week, and there was a line at the door. Good first sign. Inside, the distinct scent of wood smoke filled the air — sweet perfume for the BBQ fan. While waiting for a table, I asked the cowboy hat wearing gent behind me what we should order. Without hesitation, he said — the pork chop! My friend said he wanted that and since we try to never order identical meals, I picked the beef brisket. First, the pork chop was thick, juicy and — since I grabbed a piece — amazing. Really, the best pork chop I have ever tasted. Alas, my beef brisket was chewy and tough. So disappointing. Cole slaw was excellent but the fries were average. My friend’s baked beans too were just ok. I’m guessing the brisket disappointment was an unusual mistake since other Unilocalers rated it highly. But next time I visit, I’m taking no chances and I’m ordering the pork chop. 4 stars — just based on the pork chop.

I’m a regular here… Great food… Great owners… Love throwing back some cold draft beer with the«boss men»… The inside is decorated old school… And the new beer garden will be a blast!

Stopped at Porky’s today for the first time. It has a nice atmosphere and the pulled pork was delicious. Our only complaint was that the food service was very slow. It took much longer to get our food than it should have, considering they weren’t very busy. I can only imagine how slow it would have been if they had been busy. However, overall it was worth the wait. I’ll go back.

Stopped in this last Sunday on way to Patoka Lake. My father and I both got the sampler platter; brisket, ribs, and chicken with 2 sides and toast. The Good– As stated the brisket was juicy and flavorful, as was the chicken. The ribs had a good smoke and flavor to them. My beans were good with bits of pork served in them. The Bad– Service was slow… Even though place looked barely busy, staff seemed in the weeds, would estimate took us 45 mins to get food. Ribs were room temperature when served. Mac&ch was barely dressed, it had just a presence of cheese flavor, not visible. Overall thought the place was ok, just not the hidden gem you hope for in small town. Would have given the place 4 stars for their food but prices were more in line with bigger city peers and thus judged them by that standard.

The best BBQ since I left Texas. Seriously. The brisket is mouth watering good. It’s tender, juicy, and flavorful. It was so good we bought two more pounds to takeout before we left. The ribs have a full smoke flavor and a finger-licking good. The smoked chicken is delicious. Chicken is actually difficult to get right smoked because it’s easy to get too dry, but it’s not the case here. The service is top notch. The owner came by and apologized for the«slow service» because it was busy. We thought it would take forever but the food came out a few minutes later. He also gave us some fried pickles for free. A true hidden gem that I highly recommend.

Very good local place to get BBQ. I’m a fan of the pulled pork, as well as the 3 types of BBQ sauce you can use. Good fried pickles. Carry-out is crazy fast and convenient. Glad to have Porky’s in town!
