So great.
First time here and they made my friend and I feel like family.
We wanted to paddle board (never have before), so we called and no one answered and just decided to drive down. About a 30-​minute drive from Westport area.
Get down there and they did have to check to see if anyone had rented the boards, so while they were doing that, I watched their staff in the Cable Lake doing wake board tricks. It looked so fun!
They put us in the water right away, we just rented the boards, didn’t ask for a lesson, figured we could work it out ourselves. There’s a smaller pond up the hill from the Cable Lake. At the small pond, that’s where you paddle board and learn to Wake Board. Colby (one of the staff) gave us a super quick tutorial on how to paddle board. And since there weren’t many other customers there, they let us go over our hour time. Great people and very welcoming.
Such a fun place. I will definitely be going back!

Came here for a Learn to Ride session and had an awesome time! This place has the perfect balance between helping you when you need it, and letting you do your own thing when you want to.
They have two different cable sections and if it’s your first time you will want to start on the smaller one that stops the cable when/​if you fall, but we only had to do one run up there before moving down to the full size cable system where we got a lot more riding time in. Did really well for the first time thanks to the awesome staff here! They were encouraging and also helpful in pointing out what we needed to work on.

This place is great — extremely fun, super friendly.
The closest sport I can compare wakeboarding to is snowboarding. If you can snowboard, you’re a little ahead of the learning curve. That said, it’s not the same. This is a sport that will challenge you many different ways physically and mentally (mostly physically).
There are several options to learn how to wakeboard at KC Watersports. You can jump right into the big lake or take lessons. (I recommend taking a lesson or two before jumping into the big lake — not something we did, but the day was still awesome.)
Again, the best part of the experience was the staff at KC Watersports. They are true professionals who take pride in helping people learn this sport.
Take your time. Be patient. Have fun. This can be addicting!

Great way to beat the summer heat and get in a «workout» all at the same time. These guys are great when it comes to getting your feet wet in the sport of wake boarding, they have two cable systems for newbies and advanced riders. All the staff is helpful and will help you up your game. They even have SUP (stand up paddle boards) if wake boarding is a little too much of an adrenaline rush for you. Also if you are in the market for a top end wake boarding boat these guys got you covered there, as they are on top of everything a Mastercraft dealer.
Bottom line. Take a few trips to Paola for a great time.

It is a beautiful place to be on a nice day.
Great if you want to get on the water, but don’t have a friend with a boat or you don’t have lake access.
They have wake boarding and stand up paddle boarding.
