Larry’s Giant Subs

Great sandwiches but hit or miss in terms of a complete sandwich. Sometimes if it is a hot sandwich, they either do not add veggies to complement these or it is not hot. I really love their sandwiches but I get ticked off every time they «forget» to follow their own instructions on what they add to their sandwich.

Upon coming into this business I had no idea this was a chain. My group was intending to go to the tai place next door but it was closed so we ended up here. I decided upon getting the ultimate sub 8 inch and was really excited for a «giant» sub. After getting up to the register I decided to get the brownie and a drink for a little extra, which made my grand total around 12 dollars which is pretty pricey for a sandwich combo. I was a little disappointed in terms of price. Upon receiving my sandwich, I was initially let down because the «giant» sandwich was actually pretty small, there was very little meat, and I found the sandwich contained a very small amount of veggies. The sandwich tasted alright, just over average for a typical sandwich chain, just a little steep in price for the amount of food you receive.

I am hooked on this place! I used to do their pest control when they were at their old location on 23^rd Street, so I can tell you their cleanliness standards are very high! The meat is great; but to me, the bread is what really makes the sandwiches stand out. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive.

It is a sandwich shop. When you want a sandwich other than the subway or what have you stop by and check this place out. It could be a little cleaner and the last time I was in here I nearly popped my eyes out of socket due to the heavy onion oder but for the most part it’s a good sandwich. The people are friendly and they take the time to make your sandwich your way. Not like some snot up the street who puts the wrong ingredients on an order time after time but that’s a different review. Stop by if you have time if for nothing more than to try it once.

Now, it’s been over a year since I’ve been here, so take that into consideration. If they have changed the way they make their subs, then disregard this review.
When I went to Larry’s Subs the first and only time, I was really taken back not by the ingredients, cleanliness, staff, or anything of that nature. They butchered my food by «cooking» it in a MICROWAVE. Are you serious people? Could you imagine eating at any place where your food was microwaved? Even a small toaster oven would have been more acceptable than this BS way of cooking a customer’s food. Not only that, but the cost for two hoagies was outrageous for a microwaved meal. It was simply insulting. Do NOT eat here.

The quality of meat for a fast food place was great! The service was incredible! despite the long line, the cashier was super nice, extremely patient and nothing short of polite. She was almost so accommodating that you felt bad not tipping her!
I got the chicken sand. It was great! Great place for lunch with co workers.
