STAY AWAY!!!
Heres my story. I went to location in panama city, i really need it a car, a salesman (james gainey) said he can get me in a car the same day with payments based on my income. I was given a tour of the store and how their cars go thru several check-​ups instead of showing the cars and prices. Then they ask for pay stubs to see how much i was making to «put me in the right car» after filling several papers waiting for 30 mins i got to talk to the lady that does the financing (kim). She told that they can get me in a car with weekly payments of $ 159 a week if i can do a down payment of $ 500, which i didn’t have at the moment but $ 200, the said the can finance the down payment as well. I told them that «i haven’t picked a car yet, how can you already tell me the payment» the salesman took me finally to the parking lot and showed two cars saying that they save lots of gas, i didnt like them and when pointed at the one i wanted he said he can get me that car. But it will be higher payments (all the cars were old). After a few mins of looking around he got to pick a 2005 ford focus. They got me in a room to sign a bunch of papers and a camera recording the whole thing, i didnt feel confortable at all, but i really needed the car, i just wanted to be over with the whole thing and have my first car. so after putting my signature on all those papers i finally got to drive the car home.
On my way home after driving for an hour i noticed that the brake pedal was getting harder to step on, i didnt know much about cars so i didnt pay attention to it. 4 days later on my way to work the brakes were staying on and the car overheated, i had to pull over and called them. They told me to take the car there and they will look at it. It was too far for me plus i had to pay to get the car towed, so i took the car to a local auto –service and $ 120 later i was driving the car again. Then 4 days later the car started making noises and the brakes sticking after driving more than 15 mins, so i take the car to get the pads replaced and the sound was still there, then i also got the drums replaced an the sound and sticking was still there. So $ 500 later i took the car to dealer service department. They said all it need it was an adjustment, but an hour later after driving the problem again. I called an scheduled an appt for the next week. The said that parts (drum, pads caliper) were not oem and that was causing the problem. So the order the new parts and installed them. $ 180 later driving back home the same problem but got worse the car, the car now started shaking also. I called really upset, i was not able to drive the car for more than 20 mins without having problems, all they said is to bring it over and they will look at it. I was done with that car. So i when to another dealer to get a car and try to trade in the car and transfer the balance left to pay to the loan.
Well i was told that the car was worth $ 2800, and it was worth $ 4973 when i got it. And i was not able to transfer the balance because it was more than what the car is worth. Going thru the papers i noticed that the car was sold to me for $ 10.676
And with the interest i will end up paying $ 19.587
(4 TIMES MORE THE CARS WORTH). I called trying to get the piece of junk back and after talking for a few minutes this lady kim said that they will take it back but they report to credit bureau as a repo, at that point i just wanted to get rid off that piece of crap. In the other dealer i got a brand new car 2015 0 miles for the same payment so with interest i will pay $ 19.893, almost the same amount that jdbyrider was taking from me.
This people claim they can help you get a better car with payment you can afford to help you build credit, when they actually dont care about you at all they just want to see how much they can get out you for an old car that doesn’t work. You can get a better deal anywhere else. Dont believe? me google all the complains.
