Flamingo Joe’s Grill & Seafood

We were here on our way out of town. Thought we would stop in for a quick lunch here before our long drive back. We started with the fried shrimp appetizer. Since I had told them about my allergy they even switched up the egg wash for a buttermilk dredge. That was very considerate of them and I already liked the place at that point. The appetizer was very delicious with the right amount of batter to shrimp. The shrimp tasted fresh and almost sweet. For the mains I had the bubba gump which was the swai fish fillet with an Asian themed marinade and grilled shrimp in a sandwich. That was just right as well. Not too heavy and I didn’t feel like a nap after. Also got the chips and mango salsa as a side that was excellent as well. I would definitely go back here if I am back in town on a visit.

The fried shrimp appetizer is delicious! I had the Bubba Gump, which is grilled shrimp on top of grilled fish as a sandwich. My husband had the fish, shrimp, and chicken basket. All of it was fantastic. I wish I had taken a picture but we were hungry so we just dug right in. Oh yeah, good prices too and since it’s October the place wasn’t busy. The lady that waited on us, Bobbie was the cook too and she was very nice.

Came to this place because my uncle found it on trip advisor. Our waitress was OUT OF IT! I asked her for tartar sauce and she forgot it. I asked her for a To go box. She said OH OFCOURSE! Walks in the back and right out the back door to smoke. And then as we are leaving gets out of her car to wave to us. Hmm HELLO! Did you forget something! My cousin got a Flamingo Turkey burger and it was completely burnt. The fried pickles and the peppered Parmesan sauce was good and the shrimp basket that I got was good also. Need a little work on their burger skills but their seafood skills are pretty good. My three year old asked the waitress for more Sprite. Her cup was half full. Instead of giving her more she shook the glass and said oh you have plenty, handed it to her and walked away…
Moral of the story… Customer service was BAD. Seafood was good.

Flamingo Joe’s is a tiny little restaurant that could probably be considered a dive… the food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. The tuna dip is really good!

My husband and I went here after reading a review on Unilocal.The service was okay inside is kind of small and smokey from their grill. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and enjoyed that. My husband ordered the Mahai Mahai sandwich which he felt was chewy and didn’t finish. I ordered the black and blue burger which tasted good going down but I tasted it all night long. Not sure that I would try again.

First time eating there bGreat little place. The surf’n turf burger was great. I’ll be back.

Perfect looking beach, beer, and burger joint… problem is that it’s not on the beach so it just looks sketch. Order process was surreal. I think the guy taking our order was stoned, which just added to the ambience, but the menu choice was interesting.
Fish tacos were very good, but make sure to ask for the parm sauce to give it what it needs. They tout their burgers but the Joe, All– American, and Ghist pepper were… meh. Sweet potato fries are delicious but taste a lot like a Corndog from the county fair.
Overall, it felt Beachy but without looking at the ocean, it just felt filthy which colored the taste of everything.

Flamingo Joes is a home style hamburger hang out with a delicious variety of foods that include seafood to Mexican dishes. Spice up your life with their original ghost pepper cheeseburger add you some turkey bacon on that to blow your mind.

Yum yum yum!!! Looks may deceive you here, I was nervous to go inside. We were the only car in the parking lot, but you tend to eat early when you have a toddler! I am SO glad we went in! My husband had The Beached Whale, I had the Hot Veggie Pita and my son had the grilled cheese. We all cleaned our plates! The chips with homemade mango salsa was quickly devoured. And the homemade lemonade was perfect and not too sweet! I would recommend this place to anyone headed to PCB. So delicious and the owner/​cook took the time to explain special items on the menu and was so kind!

Really good sandwiches with people who work there who actually care. It was smaller than I expected but was way better than expected. Would definitely recommend.

Great burgers and some interesting combinations like the surf and turf burger. I love the Huli sauce!

One of our favorite places in PCB. My husband must go by for a beached whale sandwich on every trip.

I love this place and frequently eat here. The burgers and sides are awesome. I’ve tried every burger, including the bunless Volcano. They are delicious and filling and the sides are all really good homemade recipes. Ask for a brownie and you get one the size of your hand. They are huge, fudgey goodness. And if you visit a lot, they have a punch card so after 12 burgers, you get one free. This place rocks!

I’ve lived in PCB for four years and haven’t been here until today. What a gem! Locally owned burger spot by a super nice family. Very Floridian in appearance and the ambience is that of what you would expect from a burger shack near the beach. Awesome food, awesome/​friendly folks. Don’t miss out on this place.

Awesome mom and pop place. Fantastic burger. Very friendly service. I got the surf and turf combo… Shrimp on a burger? Yeah! I recommend it and the place. Eat local y’all. Fries are good as well, nice old fashioned crinkle cuts. If they had been fresh cut I would have given them 5 stars.

This is a little local flavor you will love. My wife and I got the Surf and Turf Burger. The combination of the beef, shrimp and Parmesan sauce is delicious. Staff was eager to help and explain how things were made. If you are into the spicy stuff they have a ghost pepper burger made from local ghost peppers. My wife tasted it and she thought it was too hot, and she loves spicy food.
Prices are typical tourist prices, $ 9 for burger and fries. Drink is extra. I would have loved it if the burger was a bit bigger, but that may be because it was so good… and I am have a 3000 calorie diet. :) Enjoy

Awesome place! The older gentleman, who might own the place, was super nice in helping me pick out a vegan item. I chose the homemade veggie burger with sweet potato fries and if I lived in PCF, I would eat that everyday! It was delicious!

I would have given 4, but I really don’t like fries over done. It’s NOT fine dining.. It’s just a few tables in a house and a few outside. Options are of the fish –n– chips ilk. I had the grilled tuna sandwich to reduce amount of fried food in the meal. Pricing is a tad odd. A sandwich or plate option. Plate just means 3 sides and a drink in one price. sandwich is only one side and no drink. Fish basket is huge. I recommend sandwich, not plate.
The food is good for a no thrills experience.

This is one of our favorite places to go multiple times per vacation. We always make at least 2 trips to Flamingo Joes because of the laid back atmosphere, very reasonable prices (especially for the beach) and of coarse great quality, unique food!
I had the fish tacos (my usual). They’re excellent and something I’ve yet to be able to replicate in my own kitchen – despite many attempts. My brother raved on his Island burger and sweet potato fries. When I tried my mom’s Aloha chicken sandwich, it was so tasty I just might have to stray from my usual and get that next time – and I’m picky about my chicken, especially in restaurants. My picky youngest brother also thoroughly enjoyed his hot dog and fries. One more thing I might add you should try is the chips and salsa which is served warm. Overall their unique menu yields many options for all taste buds.
In addition to great food, you’ll enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the staff from the second you walk in.

Wifey and I ended up here after trying two other restaurants (one was closed, when it was supposed to be open; the other seemed to have disappeared)…thank goodness! Flamingo Joe’s turned out to be fabulous. When we pulled into the parking lot, we were a bit… uhhh…this is a dive… and the atmosphere is divey… but in a cool way! Get over it, this is old skool Florida divey…
The food… outstanding…wifey and I had burgers… very good ones. Wifey’s was a standard with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mustard, ketchup. She said it was fantastic. Mine had lettuce, tomato, Swiss and Monterey Jack cheeses and a homemade sauce… very, very good!
Side items… I had the fries… they were medium thickness… with crunch on the outside and soft on the inside… maybe the best medium thickness fries I have ever had! Wifey had an off menu side of onion rings. These were thin type onion rings and wifey rates these as the best thin ones she has eaten. They are #2 on the all time favorites! We even suggested they make them a menu item.
Dessert…talked into some Key Lime Pie… with some white chocolate in it. Simple… best Key Lime Pie… ever. Interesting… it was a relatively small pie… which we also found to be perfect.
This is typically counter service, but with a slow day, they actually provided service for us… and it was super outstanding… every suggestion he made was on point… and the attentiveness was exactly right. One suggestion he made, I did not listen to… he heavily suggested the «Ghost Burger»…wish I had listened to the suggestion!
Bottom line… as at any place, YMMV, but it was great for wifey and I!
