This is the best place for donuts and breakfast. They have fresh and delicious donuts. The price is affordable for such a yummy treat. The staff were also quick and friendly. You got to try their delicious donuts.

Dan D Donuts are a Panama City tradition. Located downtown on Harrison Avenue across from Bay High.
They have fresh, unique donuts that you can’t find anywhere else.

Okay, so prices are about the same as most local donut shops but things get expensive if you want to start sampling their specialty items. And their specialty items are done real well and the reason I go back on a regular basis: Fritters are cooked just right and with just enough fruit flavor, cinnamon rolls exp the chocolate covered are awesomely more donut then baked soft buns, and their donut-​kolache is the best version of a kolache I could find in NW Florida. Good sized and plenty of meat and soft bread.
Reason i don’t rate the shop higher is because of their donuts. I’ve eaten plenty from around the nation and world and would say that I rank them in my bottom third of choices. Mainly, consistency is not there. sometimes the same style donut would be super sweet, sometimes unevenly sugared, sometimes actually dried out, sometimes pretty decent. What I’ve been really disappointed by was their cream and jelly filled donuts and long johns. way too much filling. Just sell small jars of the filling if that’s apparently what people what to eat straight.
I would stick to the cinnamon buns, muffins and kolaches for anybody looking to try this place. Also, as most will warn you, get here as early as you can for selection and freshness.

Best Donuts in town. This place has been here forever and I have enjoyed their donuts for years. Used to go by all the time when I was at Bay High across the street. Great selection and staff has always been friendly.

The only place I buy doughnuts from. Krispy who??? Lol I really love this place & don’t understand how anyone could possibly have any negative input. Doughnuts are the best I’ve ever had & I’ve seen my share of the world. Breakfast is actually pretty good & fair priced (I personally recommend chicken biscuit with hash brown) Coffee isn’t bad at all either. The sweet old lady whom I’m assuming is the owner is so nice & adds to the already homely vibe. Always busy but moves fast & definitely worth the short wait. You know a place is good when you see 50 people lined up majority teens @ 6:00 am :-D

Stay away from the coffee. It’s disgusting, but they aren’t a coffee shop so I won’t take away a star for it.
Drive by early and the smell of pastries fills the air! The texture is great and they are sweet, but not too sweet. Soft, but not too soft. The chicken biscuits and hashbrowns are frozen, but they are better than what you’d get at BK or McD so yeah… It’s good.
The employees are friendly and a lot of their business comes from the high school across the street. My heart was broken because they closed up for the holidays, but I understand… I just wish I had known so that I could have been mentally prepared. Lol

Chicken salad sandwich is amazing. The doughnuts are to die for as well. Only downside is the are super busy during lunch with high schoolers. And they sometimes run out of doughnuts– but that’s not really their fault. It’s just so yummy!

Wonderful local institution. Dan-​D-​Donuts has been in downtown Panama City across from Bay High School for decades. It’s an old school, family-​run eating experience with some of the nicest people you could have taking your order. But that would mean nothing if it wasn’t for the donuts, which are fantastic. These are not Krispy Kreme lighter-​than-​air donuts (which I also love) but rather nice heavy, old-​fashioned goliaths. The glazed roll is a heaven-​sent treat.
There is a small drive-​thru and all other service is walk-​up. Ample parking, but the lines can get long with high school kids and local workers during the morning rush and at lunch. Still well worth it.
A number of donut flavors are available, including some crème-​filled varieties. I’ve never had a bad donut here. As other have noted, breakfast and lunch are also available. Despite being a Bay County native I’ve never really had anything here other than donuts. I will try to fix that in a future update. I can tell you the selection for lunch includes burgers and various simple sandwiches.
Bottom-​line: This place is truly a Bay County institution. You would be remiss not to visit if you are a donut fan and either traveling down Highway 98 or hanging in the downtown area. Prices are affordable, service is good, and you’re supporting a venerable small-​business.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! The only place I eat donuts at. Haven’t tried the lunch yet but I’m sure lunch is as good as the breakfast!

The very best doughnuts it town! Their bacon, egg and cheese biscuit is a hidden gem. I have to get one whenever I’m there. They’re always busy, so expect a short wait. I’ve never had lunch there, so I can’t personally make a recommendation.

My absolute favorite donut place ever. I use to live down the street and I sure do miss it! Any and everything made here is made with pride and love. Their prices are awesome and it’s been a local fave and go-​to spot for many years. Go early or they’ll run out of stuff! Their lunch menu is always on point. Especially love their fries!

Fabulous, mouth watering donuts. I had a cinnamon roll and my partner, an apple fritter. Both were probably the best examples of each that we’ve ever eaten. We would give them 5 stars except their coffee was very disappointing. Further, with no where to sit, we had to eat in our car leaving my clothes a sugar coated mess. Guess we could have waited till we got home to eat, but who has that much will-​power?

Unbelievable!!! I wanted one of everything!!! Ended up getting a blueberry filled one. The older woman at the counter actually went in back with my donut to actually put more filling in it!!! My friend Liz ended up buying almost $ 30 worth of donuts to bring home to friends and family including a Big Dan donut that was going to be her birthday cake the next day. It’s as big as your head!!! Love this place. I’ll be visiting it every time I go to PCB.

Always amazing and fresh. The best service in Bay County!!! Great place for lunch, call ahead and place your order and it will be waiting for you the friendliest staff in town.

By Far some of the best donuts in Panama city

Pleasant, courteous service, decent prices. Great selection of doughnuts… but recommend you go early. If there is only one left of the item you want, the person at your window will snatch it up as soon as you ask. Nice that they will let you reserve your order for pickup. Fritters are huge, delicious and disappear quickly!

You haven’t had a real doughnut until you’ve had one from here. They are all handmade from scratch and have been for years! The apple fritter is my favorite and it is humongous and delicious. To be honest all the doughnuts and pastries here are humongous and delicious!!!
Stop reading this and go inside and grab a doughnut. You’ll be happy you did.
