Books by the Sea

Stopped by the other day for the first visit in several years. The inventory has certainly expanded and is threatening to push the owner’s out the door! Good thing they’re having a sale! One of the best collections of classic literature in the area.

Found some classic Kerouac in paperback here. Great Staff and Worth the visit on Harrison Ave just North of Tom’s Hotdog’s.

I love this place because it’s got character and its a great place to find old treasures. Literally, this is the finest used book store with the most knowledgeable staff I’ve come across in years. The books are well organized and the place is clean (not that musty smell that so many other used bookstores often have). And for frequent readers, they have a reasonable trade-​in credit policy.
They have a large selection of fiction and nonfiction, antique/​collectible books, and children’s books. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the books in stock; they always help me locate whatever I am looking for, even if I can only remember a few details about the book (e.g. Requests like «I remember the cover was blue with flowers and a castle…» or «…a romance book. The author’s name rhymes with ‘wood’…» could likely end up with successfully located books.) But even if I don’t find what I’m looking for, I usually come across something really interesting that would never be around in a store for new books.
Come in with an open mind and you will not be disappointed!
