This place may still be locked in to the 1990’s but the service is totally legit! A bit expensive for the off season but still totally worth it. I know most people post comparisons on here and other sites saying how their experience can be negative and while this place may have ups and downs it is in a great location, the place is clean and the staff is friendly as well attentive to your needs. Cannot ask for more than that.

Did not stay here!!! BUGS the size of my hand, the pictures online are a marketing ploy,(the rooms do not look like the pictures), the furniture is 100 years old and dirty. The pillows smell like mold. The walls are paper thin and the television were manufactured in the 1950s. If you have issues with walking or carrying your suitcase this is not the place for you. They do have elevators however, they are a little scary with all the noises they make and once you get off the elevator you still must go up or down stairs to get to your room. Pet friendly which is not monitored so yup you guessed it… poop everywhere. There is no continental breakfast. The grill, the bar, and the pools all close at 10(you can’t sit by the pool after 10) the rooms are smoke free however you can smoke on your balcony. The hotel is understaffed and overbooked. WE asked for assistance and was told there was no one who could help us.(Carry a suitcase up a flight of stairs). However we ran into(literally) someone who appeared to be maintenance dancing to something on his headset in the cove on the 3rd floor. This hotel is one of the worse in PCB! Overpriced non refundable not worth the money! The stars received are for Rhonda at the front desk at checkin. She was kind, friendly and very courteous when verbally attacked by another guest who was also unhappy.

We are staying in the«tides» section. I think the tide needs to rise up and knock this place down! I am laying in the bed right now after a night of no sleep on the HARDEST bed I’ve ever slept on, with the most pitiful thin pillow. Our comforter smells like throw up, so that’s on the floor. The TV has so much static, there is no point in trying to watch. The towels are hard and scratchy. The tub has been repaired. When I stepped in it felt like I was going to fall thru the tub. They advertise this nice pool with a small little water park for kids. When we got here we saw a sign that said that pool was for their condo guest only. It was advertised with the room we booked so we will be swimming there too. This place is just a joke all the way around! I would say you get what you pay for, but I’ve stayed in cheaper nicer places in Panama City. It would be fine for a spring breaker to drunk to notice the dirty floors, throw up smelling comforter or all the other flaws.

Nasty. Basically trailer trash motel, not a hotel. Disgusting. Yes it’s on the beach but that’s all you can say for it.

I have been to some bad hotels in my life, and this… this is one of them. I’ll keep it short, because you’re a smart, classy person who isn’t seriously considering staying in this dump. You don’t need much to convince you this is a bad idea, but just in case you’re thinking, «But beach access…» let me talk you out of it. The doors don’t lock. Did you read that? My door doesn’t lock. Not automatically anyway. Oh sure, I can use the night lock to deadbolt it and prevent any unwanted intruders, but when I’m out and about? Hope nobody wants to take my stuff! Still thinking about it? Let me further explain. Bad pressure in the showers, outdated amenities like decades old sanyo tube TVs, no sheets on the bed(And yet the comforter was pulled up so nicely…) and room service that doesn’t knock, just comes on in whether I say I’m decent or not! Seriously, this is a $ 39.99 side of the highway flea motel if it’s anywhere else in the nation; instead they happened to slap it on the beach and we all said, «Sure, I’ll pay for sheetless beds with vague stains on them!» I would recommend instead sleeping at a bus stop. The beds are more comfortable and your stuff is safer.

I have stayed here for seven nights and each night his place has grown on me. There are a ton of issues with the Tides building specifically. The bathrooms are tiny and are located in a horrible spot, right next to the entry door to the room. There is terrible wifi. The doors to the«private balconies» are falling off of the hinges. Rear projection(older than New kids on the Block) TVs. No ice machines. Inconsistent AC units. That’s all I need to say about the Tides. I can deal with issues such as those but when the cleaning person doesn’t make the beds for an entire week, that’s when I give up on a place. There is no pride in this hotel. Could be something great but the management needs to improve their staff and the hotel’s investment group needs to put funds towards their rooms.
