**I will not remove a star for humans being inconsiderate** I found this park on & was surprised it never made it to the Unilocal Community. So, I did what responsible Unilocalers do & created a spot for it. This is the only beach within hundreds of miles where you can bring your pet to the beach & allow them to hang out with you, play in the sand, and swim in the ocean. There is plenty of free parking across the street and you enter the pet zone through Entrance 57. Everyone I encountered was very courteous & pet welcoming, even though many of the visitors here did not have pets, which annoyed me greatly. I mean, pets only have a couple hundred feet of shoreline & humans have access to ALL of the rest. I think you can probably find space to fill somewhere else!(Ok, rant officially over) Anyway, all the K9s were on leashes, but many of us allowed them to run in & out of the water freely. Bring your favorite water throw toys & treats & make a day of it with your furry friend. They offer pet waste bags & a water hose to rid yourself & your belongings of unwanted sand. There is also a very large restroom nearby at the pier for you to use. Here’s a bonus tip for you: Bring a water bowl & a gallon jug to refill with fresh water so that your sweet friend will stay hydrated while playing in the heat!
