Palos Verdes Beach & Athletic Club

Talk about spectacular! Pvbc is such a beautiful gem! Hearing the ocean waves as you watch the sunset. Romantic, stunning and beautiful. The kind staff keeps the grounds clean and always the are always super friendly. I only wish u could visit more. Keep up the great work everyone!

This is one of the most amazing spots around and definitely unique in California. No one could build a place like this in California at the bottom of the cliff on the ocean today but since it was built in 1920 or so there were different rules. Great physical structure and amenities. Local families enjoying friends and family are the members. Lots of activities during the day including SUP, yoga, swimming, fitness room and of course the beach. At night it’s locals grilling their favorite foods and sharing beer and wine with friends. All the staff are excellent and most are club member’s children. If it is not a weekend with nice weather there are no crowds. Can’t count the times that I am the only person at the club
Heaven on earth

Just became a member after a ten year wait. Food grilling outside by the ocean after a long warm swim on a cold winter’s evening is heaven. Well worth the wait.

I am currently training for something BIG in the winter of 2013. If the world does not end at the end of 2012 I have to be prepared for what goals I have set for myself and 2013 is a HUGE milestone.
This Athletic Club is pretty awesome. The pool is amazing. It is built into the bluffs/​cliffs and if you we to jump over the railing you would land in the Ocean.
The staff is amazing and friendly. I will be coming back soon.

There is almost no place I would rather be in palos verdes than here, enough said.

The most under-​rated country club in the country, possibly because its under-​stated and less pretentious than the typical «club.» PVBAC sits next to RAT beach and is an amazing complex. Priority for membership is given to Palos Verdes residents so if you don’t live in Palos Verdes your unlikely to get in unless your a guest. Even then, expect to wait 10 years.
The centerpiece is a full lap pool overlooking the ocean. There is a small fitness center which overlooks the ocean. Outside BBQ’s, 2 hot tubs and chaise lounges make this place great. Its basically self service which I like. Some people would rather have attendants standing by for every little thing, but part of the allure is you are basically left alone.
For food, you basically bring your own, or BBQ it on one of the grills. All in all a great place.
