Great knowledge of the items in stock, however I was looking for more DE related items which is not really the specialty of this self-declared shaving focused store. Definitely a pleasant and polite staff, and the store is really well done inside. Bonus points for being open until 9pm when I needed to stock up on DE blades.

The art of shaving is owned by Proctor and Gambel. Before the retail locations were set up, the products were half the price and stocked at your local CVS. They are not bad products though and still worth the money if shaving is your thing. I came in to restock on some products, and started asking about other products because I was interested in switching scent or trying something new. My questions were answered rudely with attitude and little help. I was a bit taken back considering the place was empty at Christmas time.

About a year ago, I stepped into Art of Shaving and changed my morning ritual. I didn’t know that using a brush and shave oil would work out so well… Now I know. A year later and many good, close shaves, I am still a happy customer.

I came here with my girlfriend to look for a Cut Throat Razor(Straight Edge Razor). I was approached by Mike, a fine giant of a man with the most amazing mustache. I told him what I was looking for and he began to educate me and persuade me to pick out something a little bit more of a stepping stone, rather than the actual blade. I asked me if I was interesting in getting a safety razor or even the disposable straight edge blades before setting my sights on the beautiful German crafted razor. I declined his offer but after he educated me a bit, I had a new mentality. The learning curve of the Straight Edge Razors is tremendous and should be taken one step at a time. I was given a proper demonstration as to how to properly use the blades, how to care for them, and how each product worked. I must admit, although I did enjoy the splendid service and the honesty from Mike, he did upsale us during our purchase. What started out as a $ 50 Blade, $ 60 Starting/Traveling Kit, and a set of razors which totaled up to be $ 122.00 before tax. Came out to be $ 176.XX after tax. He used his persuasion and sort of slight of hand to toss in the Brush Stand $ 6, another set of Razors, $ 12, and a Alum Block for $ 20. another $ 38 magically appeared on the bill. My girlfriend was getting it for me and she didn’t care about the price so she just went with it. Great demonstration, knowledgeable worker, and great service. 4 Stars.

Let me start of by saying EXCELLENT friendly customer service. Ask for Todd if you’re ever here. Super friendly and knowledgable and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. He helped me out a lot. I learned new things that I didn’t know about shaving. Nice and elegant store. This is the beauty salon for the manliest of men like yours truly. So many different razor types and designs. What I really liked the most were the straight razors with strops. A bit pricy but worth it. The shaving kit which contains the pre-shave oil, shaving cream, after shave balm and a brush to apply the shaving cream is also nice. It comes in lemon and lavender scented or unscented. It also comes with a $ 25 off coupon towards your next full size kit. Any ladies out there. If you bring your man here I guarantee he will love the store and you even more.

Great service. Austin helped me out. It’s a little pricey but I figure it’s worth it to pay a bit more and learn how to use a safety razor the right way. You can’t get that on
