great little park in palo alto! i thought i knew all the parks in and around downtown palo alto, but i guess i missed this one! it’s not actually on google maps, or any other map, for that matter, but i happened to stumble upon it as i was leaving heritage park, a block away, since the entrance to this park is near the rear/side exit of heritage park. there is a proper sign that says«city of palo alto, scott park» and plenty of green grassy area for playing, kicking the ball around or throwing a frisbee. amazing how they keep this grass so green in light of the drought the last couple of years. there’s also some benches to sit on, which makes for a great spectating spot or just sitting to enjoy your lunch or coffee or a good book. nice gem of a park in palo alto! i will definitely be back!

This is a small, well shaded neighborhood park four or five blocks from downtown Palo Alto. There’s not much reason to visit it unless you’re in the area. It has one basketball net, a patch of grass, and a bigger sandy area with a couple of baby swings and a spring toy(shaped like a turtle) for little kids to rock back and forth on. The main attraction for my daughter is the water fountain. The nice thing about this park is that it’s always shaded and cool. There are several big trees that provide the shade and give the place a nice rustic feel. They have a couple of picnic tables and I think a barbecue grill(I’m not positive on that), but you rarely see anyone using them. The park is actually located on Channing St between Waverley and Bryant.
