Super friendly staff! Great drinks and yummy bagels. The ambience is very mellow and feels like your everyday coffee house. They get busier throughout the day, so go early if you can! Parking isn’t too bad as the Midtown Center has plenty of space.

This is a little café on Middlefield and located near my work. While Starbucks is under construction this café is such a convenient spot to not just grab coffee but also freshly made pastries and yummy fresh sandwiches. So far I have tried their turkey and Swiss sandwich on whole wheat and it’s pretty decent but still can’t compare to my top sandwich spot in Half Moon Bay, but it definitely beats subway by a long shot. I got introduced to «Mexican Mocha» and the cinnamon taste mixed with chocolate and mocha is a heavenly combination! I will definitely return to try their iced coffee and blended drinks and maybe more sandwiches.

I would give them a higher rating but the other day I wanted lox spread on a bagel. Half of their menu is at least 8 – 10 bagels with different toppings. They had run out of bagels and it was only 1:30P in the afternoon! Most of their pastries were also gone. They tried to suggest plain bread with the lox spread and I refused. The only other option were large sandwiches. Their coffee is great but I noticed another review where they had run out of bagels. They need to order more bagels! Or not have a huge menu of them!!! I have gone there numerous times in the afternoon and the pastry selection is almost gone every time!

Comfortable, welcoming, low-key neighborhood café. Good coffee, hot or iced. Peachy Day smoothie is my favorite. Great sandwiches, freshly made with excellent home-made potato salad. Try the empanadas, too. Lots of nice pastries, fruit cups, yogurt with granola. Something for everyone. Service is quick and friendly. Every neighborhood should have a place like this to hang out in.

If I could do it all over again I’d definitely get the chai latte to stay. I saw two come up while I was waiting for my cappuccino to go and they were huge and beautiful and gave me some serious FOMO. My cappuccino was good and extra frothy. So frothy that when I picke dup my cup I had to take the lid off and look because the cup only felt about half full… turns out the other have was whipped heaven floating on top. Inside is cute and they have a decent café menu. I’d come back to use it as a meeting spot, for sure.

I thought the coffees(Americano & latte) were mediocre. I also thought the veg omelet & lox omelet were mediocre too. And the people behind the coffee bar were surly. 3 reasons not to go back. Too bad – we need a good neighborhood café. This one isn’t it, unfortunately.

Prices for coffee and drinks are a little better than most. Great place to study or meet with a group. It’s a little loud and the service is mediocre but I’d still highly recommend it!

$ 7.95 for 2 eggs, commercial wheat toast, and fruit garnish. Should have asked how much they’d charge since only omelets posted @ $ 7.95-$ 10.50. Buyer’s error. Unfortunately, one might think that the coffee roaster prominently displayed would indicate an excellent brew, which could be the case from the espresso machine. The drip coffee we had seemed like the machine hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. So, pretty much a bust breakfast.

Coffee is freshly ground each day and much less stressful than starbucks nearby. I have a coffee card which makes transactions easy and since I work next door I can call in a food order to have it ready for me! The staff is great, makes the experience enjoyable.

Utterly satisfying… I actually wanted to go back and give them more money since my lox bagel and hazelnut iced latte were worth much more in that moment than the $ 10 I spent for it. Super tasty and hit the spot. Also very nice quiet atmosphere that makes you feel welcome to stay a while, as opposed to the loud chaos of other competitors coffee shops. Simple covered seating outdoors on a beautiful afternoon is perfect!

Food is ok so is everything else except for the Wi-Fi. THEYHAVE A 1MEGABITPERSECONDWI-FICONNECTION. ITISTHESLOWESTCONNECTIONYOUWILLEVEREXPERIENCE!!! (You’re typical smartphone is 20 times or more faster then their Wi-Fi) You will not want to use their Wi-Fi because you won’t be able to get anything done and it will frustrate you to pieces. Being that they are located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Palo Alto it’s quite sad to see this. Fortunately you can walk half a block down without having to cross any streets to Starbucks and enjoy some free high-speed Wi-Fi.

Cute little café located in a shopping complex. I had the veggie sandwich on italian flat bread which was excellent! It was exactly the kind of simple lunch I wanted today! :-)

Too cold to eat outside so I grabbed a place in front of the really cool coffee roaster inside. It was fun to sit and watch the guy work on the beans, and would probably entertain kids and adults, alike. I got in line and had my order taken right away. The people working there didn’t come off as particularly friendly or excited that you were there. I ordered a bagel sandwich with hummus and avocado and a green juice. Two problems: they were nearly out of bagels so my choices were berry or everything. Fine, I chose the everything. Second, I added cucumber and was charged $ 0.75 for it! Ha! I would pay that for avocado but for cucumber? I paid it because I really wanted them. But the man, who looked like an owner or manager, who took my order took it manually so it’s not like he needed to key in the add on and couldn’t over-ride the charge. It was weird. The entire menu was overpriced and only mediocre. It was also very loud in there. Do not come in here to have quiet afternoon with your computer. And they’d probably charge for wifi anyways.

I’ve only had smoothies and espresso here but everything else always smells and looks amazing. The Power Punch smoothie(raspberry, banana, protein powder, frozen yogurt and apple juice) is my favorite. It seems like all pastries are made in-house and they probably taste delicious!

relaxed atmosphere and large space… coming in on a late afternoon… scattering of laptop campers and readers… plenty of personal space, tables and large communal table… big coffee roaster to the side… roast their own coffee beans… finding food items… customer quite saddened that the café was sold out of some special croissants… must be pretty good… some breakfast items and bagel sandwiches on the board… good place to study and fairly quiet patrons… taking a berry rush smoothie… few cents over $ 5…finding tartness from berries and smooth subtle sweetness from the banana… easy straw-sipping drink… thick, but easy to drink out of a straw… refreshed and time for a coffee… taking a large and given an enormous glass mug of coffee… pint of coffee… good, dark, smooth and little acidity… palo alto café good for study, laptop, drink or casual bite of food…

5 Stars! First time here and after eating the food I thought«Wow! That’s what they call The breakfast of a champion!» Everything was delicious and you could taste the quality of the food! The espresso was a surprise. No acidity or unpleasant bitterness. Huge sandwich, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, and when is say fresh I mean they squeeze it just before they serve it. Cup of fruit. Excellent prices, good very fast and friendly service. And also lots of space unlike these other super crammed Palo Alto coffee shops. A gem!

House blend is a slightly weak house blend. Not really my idea of a good cup of coffee. But they do roast on the premises and will make you a French press of whatever beams you want for $ 3.75. Mediocre selection of pastries. All that said, very popular with the locals folks, especially middle aged males.

Palo Alto Breakfast House. Closed on Mondays. Mike’s Café. Closed until 11:30 am. Sancho’s Taqueria. Closed til 10:00. Where can one get breakfast food around here on a Monday morning? Luckily, we saw a steady stream of foot traffic heading to Palo Alto Café and headed on over. I’ve been to Palo Alto Café many times, usually for a coffee drink or a smoothie, and even a few times for a bagel or sandwich. But today, I learned something new. Not only do they have great hours(6:30 am to 9 pm), they are open 365 days per year. At least that’s what a little birdie told me. Thanksgiving, check. Christmas, check. 7 days a week, check. Combine that with generous cups of coffee, juice, and smoothies as well as some nicely toasted bagels with the perfect ratio of cream cheese and you deserve 4 stars. Palo Alto Café does accepts credit cards, but it may have to be over $ 10.
