Took Peter’s help in settling a real estate dispute last year and was amazed by the service. He was referred by several sources and now I know why.

Beware — if you write in from their website, they will call you back fast and tell you that they want you to come in to talk about your case.
This does NOT mean they are interested. It doesn’t even mean a lawyer considered your written explanation at all. What it means is that they want you to pay them $ 365 to listen to you tell them your case and look at your documents for one hour.
It’s cheap, and it’s cruel. They set you up, making you think there’s interest, and then sock you. They even apparently have a code name for web contacts — they will say that «Ashley» called you. Except that there is no «Ashley» that works there. It’s a code name for a sucker they’re expecting to make pay from the web.
Beware.

Had a great experience working with Peter Brewer. I was selling my house, and had received an offer, which I accepted, but the buyers verbally canceled and had never made the contractually-​required deposit. I wanted out of the contract with them officially, so I could place our house back on the market, and Peter swiftly drafted and sent a great letter that clearly ended the contract from our side and yielded a cancellation in writing from the buyers. Thanks Peter for your knowledgeable and swift assistance! If I have any other real-​estate-​related matters where I need to consult an attorney, I know where to turn! And thanks to Jessica for quickly scheduling a call with Peter and getting the appropriate materials sent.

Based on the Unilocal review, I went to this office for a final help to resolve an issue about
defects being undisclosed by the seller, after I got no relief from another law firm,
and told them so.
They proposed a theory saying that they could help. Initially they told me that it’d take a coupe of hours of the time as I asked for an estimate of their hours and would take
a couple of days to finish.
2 days later, 1 week later, and more later no letter was produced.
By the time they wrote the demand letter to the sellers, they already charged me
5K. Yes, they were looking for minutes to bill, padding their time.
As the other party had no response, they ended up doing nothing. Then they
proposed using some expert to prove… I immediately shut any further dealings with
them as this would lead to nothing for me but adding to their coffer.
I don’t know if there’re really any fair decent lawyers. They claim they are experienced
but they charge hours for reading the simplest real state documents!

Simon Offord and Julia Wei are terrific lawyers– very sharp, efficient and responsive. They’re very knowledgeable and can answer legal questions and help evaluate risk quickly– a very nice contrast to lawyers from larger firms who might need to conduct extensive research and prepare memos, etc., before relaying their analysis. They’re both good strategic thinkers and strong negotiators. And they’re very patient when it comes to laying out the issues and solutions to help you make decisions. Great client service all around.

I wanted to ask if any of their attorneys would be able to handle my case, but instead they talked money first!!! Would not tell me if they can handle my case, just wants me to come and pay them first before they can tell me if they would be able to handle my case. When I described my situation and asked them if they are confident they can proceed with my case, the receptionist’s answer is «that’s part of the consultation and you will have to pay $ 365 to talk to an attorney and $ 415 to talk to Peter Brewer». So if they cannot proceed with my case, they are already making $ 400. Thats a great profit you can make for not having to do anything! YAKS!!! they are all about money!

I sent an email through their website literally 8 hours ago (well after office hours) regarding a matter that ended up not being as urgent as I initially thought. Within an hour of my email, I had a very encouraging and helpful response from Peter Brewer! He explained that he understood the urgency of my issue and was more than willing to make some time to meet us today, even though he wasn’t planning on being in the office. I seriously wasn’t expecting to hear back until later in the week since most offices are closed for the holidays.
As I mentioned before, the issue ended up not being as urgent as we thought and hopefully is not going to be a problem for us later. I cancelled my appointment with Peter, but was so impressed with his incredibly prompt, helpful response and willingness to meet on such short notice (on a holiday, no less), that I felt compelled to write a review. If the few emails I exchanged with him is any indication of his work style and knowledge, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire his office’s services or to recommend him to others!

Just finished up a very complex off-​market residential real estate transaction in Los Altos. Henry Chuang and Peter Brewer were both exceptional. Very responsive, friendly, and competent. I highly recommend them!
