kenny has been working on our forklifts for a few years now. of course, like every customer, i wish this was cheaper, that was cheaper and our forklifts wouldnt break down after… but as someone thats been around these machines for decades, i know quality does not equal cheap and forklifts need maintenance. glad to have kenny and kmas in the rolodex. weve had issues from the typical stuck starters to replacement of entire brake systems. kenny has taken care of it all for us. and SUPER quick too, which is important to us.

Obviously, its BBQ season. And if you own a kick ass propane BBQ grill like me, you’re always in need of a great propane service station. KMAS is very convenient for me because it’s on the way to work. Sure it doesn’t look much from the outside because it’s a forklift service shop, but they have been refueling my tanks for about a year now. — Bring your own propane tank, its $ 3.55 a gallon. — It’s cheaper to have your propane tank refilled than buying a full tank from the gas stations or home improvement stores. — They do not sell propane tanks. — Open Monday — Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Closed on weekends and holidays. — Located on East Charleston Road(across the street from OSH). — Accepts cash, credit, and debit. — Ask for Kenny. He’s the man!

There are not too many place around Palo Alto where you can have your BBQ propane tank refilled.(Most places in the area will just swap tanks which usually isn’t as economical.) This place, KMAS Inc. /Bay Cities Forklift, is one of the few that will refill them. Their rate is pretty reasonable. Currently they’re charging $ 3.45 per gallon + sales tax for propane. So to completely refill a 20 lb /5 gallon propane tank would cost around $ 19. Unlike going to U-Haul to have your propane tank refill, there’s usually no line of people in front of you making you wait for your tank to be refilled. The main minus of this place is their limited hours of operation. They are only open Monday — Friday from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.(And they recommend you come in no later than 4:15PM because the last 15 minutes of their day they’re closing down the shop and might not be able to refill your propane tank.) Still, their price is good and their service is quick with minimal waiting.
