In Full Bloom

I picked Susan to do the flowers for my wedding and she did a wonderful job! I met her just once and gave her the idea I had in mind and she took over from there. I didn’t have to worry about flowers anymore and checked it off my todo list. Susan did an amazing job at my outdoor venue, where she made the setting look elegant and romantic with the flowers and candles. So if you are like me and want to be a stress-​free bride then you need to delegate the flowers to Susan and you are all set :)

Susan is as sweet and sincere as they come. We met on a rainy afternoon to discuss the floral vision for our June wedding; I knew nothing about flowers, but she listened closely to the ideas I had about color, texture, shape, and the overall «feel» for the day and then processed those details into a beautiful outline of bouquets, boutonnieres, buffet pieces, and altar décor. I sent her Pinterest photos of flowers and arrangements I liked, we exchanged lots of emails to settle on ideas and plans, and she helped me figure out ways to cut costs on things like rose petals and vases because WOW that stuff adds up fast! She was always very responsive, polite, warm, and enthusiastic. I was so grateful for all the work and creativity she put in to provide such elegant, rustic, and colorful touches to the entire wedding; she even went to Home Depot and other stores to find the perfect flower pedestals for no extra charge. I didn’t have to think about a thing after we made all the decisions together – I showed up and everything was assembled perfectly. She was a joy to work with and her prices were very reasonable compared to other Bay Area florists. Don’t let flowers give you a headache when planning your wedding or large event – just call Susan and you’ll be in good hands!

I had talked with a dozen different florist for my wedding and Susan was a dream come true! She was able to understand the random different visions I had and was able to translate them into flower arrangements. She was great with working within my budget and she was so much fun to work with.
I’m not much of a flower person and flowers were not a «big» part in my wedding but when I saw the flowers the day of it was BEYOND what I expected. Every time I looked at my bouquet or the girls I would break out in a smile and even now looking at the pictures I just smile!
At the end of the night, all the centerpieces were gone and people kept asking about them. They were a HOT commodity!

She is absolutely amazing! Her arrangements are super creative and extremely tasteful. She does flowers for our office on a weekly basis and she makes the whole place so fun, vibrant and beautiful. I look forward to seeing what she does each Monday. Last week she did the coolest most interesting and gorgeous arrangement in our lobby. I couldn’t stop taking picture of it! She is extremely friendly and easy going to work with. I’m so glad we get to see her creations each week.

We got married in March 2011 and Susan did the flowers for our ceremony and reception. From the start she was very easy to work with. I wasn’t a bride who had a plan from age 6 of what I wanted, and I have a very busy work schedule. So, when I first met with Susan, I showed her pictures of my dress/​the bridesmaids dresses and what the color would be. I told her the budget and that I didn’t want or need anything over the top and let her run with it. She came up with a contract and ideas quickly and it was within the budget and sounded great. She seemed to understand exactly what we wanted. She worked around my crazy schedule and answered as much by email as she could and even offered to go over the final plan by phone. As the day approached she was very helpful in coordinating how things would get setup and she was easy to contact and very patient with me and my stress and questions. She brought the flowers to both events and they were fabulous. Everyone commented on how beautiful they were in both venues. I loved my bouquet and the centerpieces. We took the centerpieces home and they looked great for days! I could not have asked for a better person to work with for my flowers.

Susan has been doing the flowers around my office for quite some time, and I think her work is really special. She doesn’t just select beautiful blossoms, she also uses lots of unconventional materials and arrangements to create unusually modern compositions. I’ve never worked with her personally, but I can certainly vouch for the quality of her work!

Susan Groves just finished doing the flowers for my daughter’s wedding at Ralston Hall this past weekend and I cannot adequately express how incredibly beautiful they were. Susan was easygoing and delightful to work with. During our planning meetings she listened intently, offered suggestions and shared our enthusiasm. We were looking for bright, colorful, whimsical arrangements that still offered a level of elegance and sophistication and Susan absolutely captured our vision and delivered everything we were hoping for and more. And she did so while carefully staying within our budget.
We received so many compliments from our guests on the flowers and my daughter and I were personally thrilled with everything she did from the bridal bouquet to the table arrangements, right down to the guest book table arrangement and the grooms-men’s boutonnieres.
I wholeheartedly recommend Susan Groves (In Full Bloom) — she is both creative and professional. The added bonus is that she is also a warm and wonderful person who is a delight to work with.
