Not of the thorough kind. Bedside manner gets a thumbs down. Doctor is on the extremely conservative side(where you feel like you waste time to come in for multiple visits). Touched my daughter’s back for less than 10 seconds and determined her pain«should resolve in 2 weeks or come back for an MRI». Her note to athletic trainer and competitive coaches read«modify activity but still able to play. No overhand serving, running extra, or arching back… don’t do anything that makes back hurt…“tough when you play competitive volleyball! I’m speechless.

Our athletic high school son recently saw Dr Sally Harris at Palo Alto Medical Foundation for back pain. Two previous doctors had seen him and pretty much diagnosed him with a bad form of arthritis. Dr Harris worked diligently with us, to get a proper diagnosis(stress fracture). Dr Sally Harris is a genius that actually cares about her patients. Amazing doctor. Brilliant!

I went to her two years ago for a knee MRI, one she said she reviewed thoroughly. She came back to me and said«there is nothing physically wrong, but there is slight bruising, should go away soon». I returned to the office today after two years of almost crippling pain to see Dr. Eakin. He reviewed the scans for a good 30 seconds before seeing that I had a meniscal tear on one meniscus, and that the other was highly degenerated – something odd for a fit, 14 year old girl. Either Dr. Harris is completely incompetent, or she doesn’t care enough about her patients to do even a halfway decent job.
