This is a gallery of local artists behind Printer’s Café. While it does not serve food you can get something delicious(I recommend Marianne’s Blackberry Ice Cream, made in Santa Cruz) and bring it in and browse. Talk to the staffers-they are almost all artists! Sign the guest book and you will be invited to their monthly receptions featuring the artists of the month. Tonight the new artists will be spotlighted. Come and meet them and enjoy some wine and cheese! Their work will be up for 4 weeks.

I went there for the first time last week. I was impressed — the diversity & quality of art was notable.

This is a cooperative art gallery which showcases the work of 30 some local artists. The gallery hosts a variety of 2d and 3d media including painting, printing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics and jewelry. There is a monthly exhibit with one or two artists in the front room and a general exhibit of all the artists work in the back room. The art work changes each month so you are likely to see something different each time you come by. These are experienced artists who have been working at their craft for a long time. There are monthly receptions and events whenever new work is put on the walls. Get on their mailing list to get the details emailed to you. Gallery House is a separate business from the Printers Café which is in the front of the building. You enter through the café to get to the gallery. The gallery is staffed by the artists themselves and tend to be very friendly and approachable. You can talk to the artist about their work, and even look at the stored works that are not on the wall. This is not a commercial gallery so the prices seem quite reasonable to me. It’s a great place for a unique gift or simply a fun way to spend a little time while at the café.

Next to the Printer’s Inc Café, in the same building, entrance in the front and the gallery in the rear. Misc. artists and artwork ranges from jewelry, painting, photography, ceramics and small sculptures. Medium size space and friendly staff. Parking on the street and rear lot parking. Found it through Silicon Valley Open Studios but is open at all times with revolving artists.

Part 3 of 6 for $ 200 date day. After Opal’z, we were on to our next destination. When we pulled up to the café, I was a bit puzzled. I was still full from brunch, so I wasn’t sure if we were going to be eating again. But we walked in, and then headed straight to the back of the café. The back of the café opens up to a small sized gallery. They currently have pieces of work from current art students. The prices of the pieces are from $ 150-$ 3000. Each piece can be rented for a fraction of the price for 3 month increments. Admission is FREE! :) So it didn’t add on to the $ 200 limit for date day, and it gave us something to look at and discuss. It was pretty cute to see gangsta hubby ask me how certain paintings made me «feel». It only took about 20 minutes to walk through the whole gallery to look at the different pieces. The ladies working there were not snobby, and gave us our space to browse through the different pieces. I wouldn’t really recommend driving all the way up here, just for this. but if you happen to be in the area, and have a few minutes to kill, this would be a good free spot to stop at.

A neat place for coffee and art. Coffee house in the front and gallery at the back. We went there for the«close-ups» exhibit and found the quality of works were very good. Price was reasonable too. It wasn’t fancy but hosted good works of many artists.
