Jorge Camberos was our server. Probably one of the best examples of customer service I have seen thus far in the steakhouse industry. Simply phenomenal. Great bone in ribeye, he recommended the lobster tempura as an appetizer, DELICIOUS! Great sides. We will be coming back!

My husband and I have been here a few times, but last night’s dinner was special and fun, and I thought I would finally write a review. We came here with friend’s, and our friend was joking with the server about deep frying the carrot cake. They attempted it at the last visit, but it just did not turn out. Anyhow, we proceeded to order drinks and dinner. Mostly steaks with some sides. I should mention that our drinks were made exactly as we ordered(essentially, a skinny margarita). Our steaks came cooked perfectly, but the sides were cold. They were quickly replaced with hotter and fresher replacements. The manager and our server was outstanding.

Underwhelmed by service and quality of food. Server completely got the order wrong and was just not that professional in my opinion. We ordered wagyu ny strip but received just regular ny strip even though we ordered wagyu by name. Server should have repeated our order back to us. Unfortunately we realized too late and had already completed the meal. Just not impressed and was expecting more of a steakhouse that charges just as much as house of prime rib but far less superior service. I’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse …

I enjoy this restaurant, it is a well executed professional steak house. If you like to get a steak now and again – or often – you know what that means. So here are some quick notes, pros-cons, and comments… –Flemings-Palo Alto is a well executed steak house on a par with but not(in my opinion) distinctive of other high end chain steak houses(e.g. Grill on the Alley, Mortons, Palms, etc). You might have personal preferences but in my mind, it’s just which one is convenient. They all have high-end USDA/prime/aged/blah blah beef, the meat will be grilled correctly, they will have some good grilled fish for non-carnivore friends, they will have an assortment of traditional tasty sides like creamed spinach and truffled potatoes, you can get a great Caesar salad, they have a wine list deep in reds and can make a solid martini, service is professional though brisk, and you will spend a boatload on your meal. Great experience, not unique, and blindfolded I’d defy you to be able to tell the difference between these premium chains. –One thing about Flemings that I think is a plus, is that there is a high-volume bar and dining area, and some quieter rooms off to the side(that I guess they dedicate to groups when needed). The main room looks nicer and richer, but the simple side rooms are much better for quiet conversation. I think this is a good thing to know, depending on what you are looking for and in the size of your group, you might pick a location. –I appreciate that Flemings does not try to gouge customers on the corkage fee. $ 20 seems fine, more than that is really irritating. I’d go to Flemings just for that reason! Good for them. –Parking can be a pain at Stanford Shopping Center sometimes so give yourself some time. Getting out after a late dinner is a breeze though. Nice experience, lots of $$$, just what you want when you are in the mood for a good steak!

Unfortunately, my husband got sick from the food. We don’t know exactly what dish it was from but it was bad. It was miserable for the both of us. Besides this occurring, my steak was overcooked. I had asked for med-rare but it was along the side of medium to med-well. I wasn’t too happy about that since I’m very particular with how my steak is cooked. Thumbs down!

What a blessing to be invited here for a wedding reception. Our party of 40 sat in 7 tables; in a room with high ceilings and large windows. This would be the side facing el camino/sand hill. Nice. The fixed menu was choice of seasoned chicken, filet mignon or scottish wild salmon. They start you out with a house salad which was fresh but not inventive; it’s regular green head lettuce, and thinly sliced red onion with a few halved cherry tomatoes in a very light champagne dressing. The attendants brought our table of six two 4×6 trays of asparagas and potatoes au-gratin: The sauteed asparagas was tasty and al-dente. And the potato’s au-gratin were looking freshly baked, golden brown, AND tasty. My piece of filet mignon was about a 3.5 inch square, well aged and very tender and very yummy. Best one I ever sampled. Carafes and carafes of Stag’s Leap Cabernet were poured. I was diggin’ it. Tasty. Choice of dessert: cream cheese with blueberry drizzle or carrot cake. Décor: def. upscale! Customer service: polite and professional. Bathrooms: fancy, modern and very clean. Parking: fine.

This place is very classy and professional, but there are a few important things to note– Cons: — There’s a ton of free parking close by(this is in the Stanford Mall) but the parking lot is a cluster f**k most times, and it can take a very long time to park, especially in the evening. — It gets soooo loud in the restaurant! I imagined it being a quiet and intimate setting, but I had to repeat myself quite often when speaking to our waitress — Our waitress was very friendly, but a little too pushy on the desserts and drinks(she mentioned it at least 3 times) — Food portions were a little small considering the price Pros — Quick service — Food was delicious, BUT my salmon was a little salty I probably won’t come here again. In short, the price is not worth the experience/food.

Prime rib Sunday night special is a bargain at $ 42 with a side and dessert included. I was stuffed and shared some of it with my daughter. Tried a piece of their filet and it was excellent. Prime rib was perfect. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because their Flemings potato and creamed spinach dishes were not as good as I hoped. The onion rings were excellent and so was the bread. Classy place and a good value.

A group of 7 of us returned last night for a wonderful dinner, service experience and enjoyment at Flemings. This is a very responsive service team from the moment you walk in the door and are greeted — seated quickly — welcomed — stellar service. Food was delicious — lobster and steaks good perfectly. Much thanks for a great evening out with friends, Greg

I only came here once! It’s extremely over priced. I didn’t like the food at all. It’s so ok. We spent more than $ 200 for just a ok dinner.

Flemings always has a great happy hour, but our server was not attentive at all to our needs and did not seem like she wanted to be there. She was difficult to get a hold of and the other waitress working the happy hour lounge was so kind and cheerful so the difference was extremely apparent. They also got my friend and I’s order wrong so we had to wait extra for our burgers. Will probably be back, but it was a disappointment this go around.

I really love this Fleming’s. It is my go to steakhouse! I’ve come for dinners and I’ve come for happy hour as well. The burger during happy hour is a great deal! Lots of food for under $ 10. I always ask for bread during both happy hour and dinner. I love the orange colored butter that comes with the bread. I could eat this all night. For my entrée, I usually get the filet mignon or if I’m not too hungry, their short ribs. Sides are pretty standard. I like the mushrooms the best. However, my family loves to come here on Sunday’s or when they have their prime rib special. You get 3 courses(soup or salad, prime rib, and dessert) for less than $ 40. Totally worth it. I love prime rib and while this may not house of prime rib, their prime rib is still excellent. The pickiest eater in my family(he doesn’t eat meat either) tells me this is his new favorite restaurant!

By far my favorite steakhouse!!! We went here for a birthday dinner. Our server hooked us up! Gave our friend a birthday card, box of chocolates and free dessert! I order the Prime Bone-In Ribeye. It was perfectly cooked, hella moist and tender.

Not I know why this restaurant is not over 4STAR rating. We were invited for a private event. This restaurant is located in Palo Alto, right in the middle of Stanford Shopping Center. Ultra Modern design with high ceiling, very inviting. The private room was large and our party was about 70 people. Passed hor’derves was delicious! We had bacon wrapped scallops; fried cheese and filet mignon skewers — it was so good, melt in your mouth! We then sat down and had our meal. The appetizers of the flat bread was the best we have had, jumbo cocktail prawns was also delicious. Here come the disappointed part — filet mignon! My filet came medium instead of medium rare, when I got the medium rare, the filet was tasteless and the crust was bitter burnt. Of course salt help, but I shouldn’t have to salt it. Our table had Rib Eye steak, and they all came rare inside. We had crème brûlée for dessert — the beauty of crème brûlée is to have the sugar crust on top that is like a glass(sugar torched). It was soggy, which means that it had sat out for awhile before serving. For the restaurant being in the middle of Palo Alto, for the price they charge, this shouldn’t happen to a steak house, steak not cook perfectly. :( So disappointed.

My post is a little late but I feel the need to share my experience. This is a great place to dine. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server made awesome recommendations(ribeye Diablo style) that are to die for! Several manager visited our table to say hello. Over all I had an amazing time and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Went to Flemings for our office holiday party and was very impressed by the food and service. Never had to ask for refills on our drinks and even though we had a large group no one was left waiting for anything asked. I had the Main Filet Mignonette medium rare. It came out just as I order and was amazing. I will be coming back!

Hands down the best prime rib I’ve had. We started off at the bar with a blueberry martini and calamari for appetizer. I loved the sautéed peppercini’s, mixed in with the calamari. The martini and appetizer was a happy hour special. It was a great way to start off our evening. I got the Sunday Special, appetizer with prime rib w/choice of a salad, side and dessert for $ 44. My prime rib was cooked, perfectly. I got the Caesar salad and spicy green beans as a side. The green beans were oily, but who’s watching fat consumption, when you’re eating a prime rib and crème brûlée to end the night. They placed a tablet on our table to make wine pairing suggestions. This was helpful when it came down to picking our wine. Our son got the steak with fries, from the kids menu. For $ 16, as a starter, he got apples with caramel sauce. A 4 oz steak with fries, Shirley Temple as a drink and then hot fudge Sunday to end the night. Service and food was impeccable.

I think they have a great Happy Hour! If you get there early enough, the seating outside is great and you get a wonderful view of… the parking lot. I think it ranks pretty standard for happy hour, but the speciality cocktail drinks are where it’s at. They’re well-priced and very delicious! 4 – 7PM on weekdays. Don’t miss it!

I love the happy hours here! Yes, happy hours, because they have one from 4−7pm(5 items for $ 6 until 7pm), and one from 8 to 10pm(8 items for $ 9 until 10m). The appetizers are vey good(I like the calamari a lot), and the burger is yummy and filling as well. I also really like the happy hour patio area. There are heat lamps, so it’s not too cold over the winter, and comfy sofas are nice for catching up with friends over some food and drinks or lounging around with your significant other. The steak here is good as well– I’ve had the filet mignon– but I usually end up coming here for some happy hour bites.

Fleming’s has become our default steak house choice due to its proximity to home, the repeatable quality of the«imbibable» and gastronomic choices, the level of service, modern yet classical steak house décor and the endless procession of deals offered through their e-mail campaign. Outstanding wine menu that can be perused on an iPad cleverly called the WinePad which can be sorted by varietal, region, food pairing and even«Spin the Bottle». Well prepared prime and wagyu beef that is nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked to order. As is the rage, entrees are al a carte except some specials such as the Sunday Prime Rib special that includes an appetizer, the entrée and a desert. Sides are large enough to share and change with the season(try the Spicy Thai Strignbeans). Well trained and involved staff that can occasionally seem a little rushed and somewhat loud environment are my minor critiques of an otherwise outstanding steak house. Pro-tip: Join the e-mailing list for the occasional great deal. Also finding gift card deals on-line can lead to substantial savings. Cheers!

Holy Moly… It’s getting worse. This time the service was at par, the food was great, but the noise was outrageous! We were there for happy hour last Friday and the people next to us were so obnoxious –it came as a surprise when we found out that they worked there and it was their day off. One of the members tried to get his coworker to buy him a ~$ 200 plane ticket to Vegas from SFO that night by using profanity to do so. The other members tried to calm him down stating that, «this is how you got fired from PF Changs-.» His response, «f*ck it, f*ck them, f*ck this place, I’d like to see them f*cking fire my ass, that’s f*cking bullshit I’m not even f*cking drunk, god dammit!» Needless to say we left the vicinity ASAP after it escalated to that point.

Came on a Wednesday evening, but wasn’t able to find an actual table — had to sit at bar seating with a low coffee-table to eat on unfortunately. Food was decent: — Free bread: seems like a multi-grain bread, served with butter and a cheesy butter(wasn’t a fan of this spread) — Buratta appetizer: generous portions of burrata, served with a small handful of dressed salad, cherry tomatoes and crostini — Salmon: tasty but a bit overly salted/tasted like it was made with pre-made seasoning. Served on top of a bed of sautéed mushrooms Long wait for the food, uncomfortable table and a hardly attentive server –not the best scenario. – TLDR: pricey chain-type food, decent portions. Fancy feeling

Second time trying this place because someone gave me a Flemings gift card. Bad idea. This place is terrible. In 1 hour my girlfriend and I ate 2 loaves of bread and an appetizer before we got our entrée which was the sea bass. The pork belly appetizer tasted good but looked like crap(literally) and the three pieces came with a high price tag. NOT worth it. By the time the sea bass came out, I wasn’t hungry. My side of asparagus looked sad too. Everything looked sad. Instead I boxed my entrée and skipped to dessert. BADIDEA. The cheesecake at the grocery store is probably a better bet. In the end, with no drinks, one appetizer, one entrée, & one dessert summed up to $ 95 + tip. SONOTWORTHIT. The next time I get a Flemings gift card I’ll have to remind myself not to order food. Maybe the drinks are good? You can’t screw up vodka right?

It’s always a treat coming here for happy hour. Decent amount of choices of food and drinks for just $ 6 between 4−7pm DAILY so its def not a bad deal. Got here at 6:30 and found seats as soon as we walked in even though it was pretty busy. FYI– the bar is open seating so its first come, first serve. The drinks here alone are worth the 35 minute drive from Hayward. A spiffy list of wine for $ 5 a glass and other yummy cocktails. On this particular hot October night, I indulged in some blueberry lemon drop martinis. It was served literally three minutes after I ordered it so the fast service was a plus! ;) They make it strong too so I was feeling good and refreshed after just a couple :) Here’s the food I ordered: Calamari, carpaccio, butternut squash ravioli, pork belly and prime burger. They all came out fast as well. The portions are generous so we were stuffed since I ended up ordering 2 of the pork belly and 2 of the ravioli. Truly enjoyable! Only thing I wish is if they would add different items from time to time but it seems they keep that happy hour menu consistent. Fast service! Great prices! Yummy food and cocktails! May I add that they also have an 8−10pm happy hour also! $ 9 instead of $ 6 and the menu consists of other things and are also awesome. Can’t beat this place for what they offer!

Came here today with my family for my mom’s birthday and it was a great experience! We went around 1pm for the Sonoma Sunday Brunch menu. They started doing it a month or so ago, and I highly suggest trying it out if you’re in the mood for a new take on brunch. The prices are pretty reasonable considering it’s a nice steak house, and there wasn’t the huge crowd you would usually find at a weekend brunch spot. I had made a note when making the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and right when we were seated the waitress mentioned that, and placed down a nice birthday card for my mom. A really nice touch! Overall the service was excellent, and our server was very friendly and attentive throughout our entire meal. I have to say the menu has some pretty impressive options! It was nice to see some variety, and that it wasn’t all steak and prime rib dishes. However, I am a huge red meat fan, so I knew I had to try the filet mignon eggs benedict($ 22.95). It definitely did not disappoint! The filet was cooked medium rare as requested, the poached eggs were cooked perfectly with the yoke spilling out right when you cut into it, and the potato cake was to die for! Definitely a creative substitute for the usual english muffin that generally comes with a benedict. We also ordered a side of the chèvre cheese grits($ 6.50), rosemary-brown sugar bacon($ 6.50), and were brought biscuits with apricot jam and butter(which came with the meal). Everything tasted so delicious and everyone in my family really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere as a whole! The waiter mentioned that he had a small treat to give to my mom as a complimentary birthday gift, and at the end of the meal he brought out a box of 4 truffles with a candle on top! Definitely thought this was a great touch, and I love that it’s different than the standard piece of cake you usually get for birthday celebrations. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can’t think of any complaints to make. This was my first time at Flemings, and I can’t wait to go back and try the dinner menu!

4 and a half stars for Flemings. Came here for my birthday. Good food but of course pretty expensive. I feel a $ 50 steak should come with sides and you shouldn’t have to order them separately but they were all delicious(although kind of small to share with a lot of people). The lobster mac and cheese was to DIE for. My filet was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Service was good and they brought me a box of 4 truffles for my birthday.

Fleming’s is the type of place that you would go to if you’re feeling fancy although not everyone was dressed like it was a fancy restaurant. The interior was dark, very modern, and had low lighting. There was a bar area as well as an outdoor dining area. I came here for dinner with Ken L. on a Sunday because I had a gift card to use and wanted to try their prime rib, which was only available on Sundays. Making reservations ahead of time was easy to do on their website. The service here was great and the food was good. I had the Sunday prime rib special. For having it cooked well-done, it wasn’t dry at all since it was surrounded by enough fat. The entrée came with a salad, one side, and your choice of dessert. I opted for the asparagus for my side and crème brule for dessert. The complimentary bread was good and came with two spreads: one cheesy and one tomato/roasted pepper like. Ken I had the seasonal special filet mignon with scallops that came with salad and dessert. He was not as impressed with his choice and said my meal was actually better. For the price we paid, I would have rather gone to House of Prime Rib but it’s definitely unfair to compare the two places. Many Unilocalers have raved about their Happy Hour deals so that’s worth a try if you don’t want to spend $$$ on their dinner menu.

Love their Happy Hour! Came with a group of Ladies on a Friday evening and naturally had to wait for a spot. The lounge area had no reservations so you have to grab a seat as soon as you see one open up. Our server was AMAZING! Shout out to David. He was very alert and helpful. Got our drinks and food pouring in like crazy. Love the blueberry lemon drop along with their sweet chili calamari. Would love to come back for another happy hour sesh with the ladies.
