Nice menu — lots to choices. I’ve been eating healthy so opted for the Seafood Salad — Heart of romaine, tomato & broccoli tossed in a light vinaigrette dressing. Topped with sautéed scallops, prawns, calamari, celery and mushrooms in a light garlic sauce. It was quite good. The scallops and shrimp were very tasty. They were just a bit heavy on the dressing and garlic sauce… not bad, but as I got to the bottom of the bowl, the remaining mushrooms and lettuce were soaked. I ate most of it, but left a bit behind because it was drowning in liquid. But overall… delicious! The wait staff was accommodating. The ambiance was very comfortable… slightly upscale, but not stuffy. I was glad my friend chose this place… I mean, so many options in the area. It was good.

If you can get past the musty, rancid, greasy, moldy, mildew smell, be prepared for some very on and off food. There is one waiter, who is an absolute gem, but if you don’t get him, it goes down hill pretty quick. Last time, my ham, eggs, potatoes, toast, were all burnt. We gave this place a lot of chances, but it only got worse. Surprised, they’re still in business.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The smell repelled me. I walked in – 3 steps — and turned around to go. Think musty, moldy, mildew.

Great service and food, prices are reasonable! Quiet atmosphere, but a good change from your usual bar/grill.

Our group of 33 held a Christmas dinner party at CIBO and the food was excellent as was the service. The appetizers that we had were wonderful-a special hummus with pita bread, chicken skewers, and chicken quesadillas. We had a very generous and fresh salad as well as a selection of 4 different entrees to choose from. All entrees were perfectly prepared, delicious and the portions generous. The dessert choices were either a New York style cheesecake or a bombe which was fabulous and served with coffee or tea. The private room that also included the bar was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and poinsettias. The owner was delightful to work with and helped us selecting just the perfect menu for our group. Our group, by consensus, said they would go back not only for a group function but also for individual dinners and lunches. Thank you CIBO.

They do a great job with large groups! Delicious drinks, salad and entrees. The service was great — I never went long without someone refilling my water. Their cheesecake is also very yummy!!! Thanks Cibo for hosting us!

This is an interesting restaurant — ate here with a couple of colleagues and had a quiet dinner for 4 at a cost of $ 30/each including tip. Ordered the shish kebab which came with undersized portions of meat and vegetables. Our wine was probably over priced. I would eat here again out of convenience but not because of the price or the serving side. We also sat in a booth which made the meal feel more like a diner than a real restaurant. Nice interior and service but generally underwhelmed by the food. Meh,?!? Read the other less than stellar reviews and you decide. This could be a decent restaurant with a change of chef and a bit more training of the wait staff.

We held Mom’s 94th birthday party at Cibo last week. When we stopped by a month ago, they were very helpful and supportive in showing us the restaurant and the private room we could use. They even let us take home a menu and wine list to show to other family members so that we could decide what meals we wanted to offer to our 15 guests that night. On the day of the party, the service was absolutely excellent and so was the food. Cibo made this special night even more special. We were completely thrilled with this restaurant.

I went on a date here a little while back. We weren’t that hungry so we decided to go with salads. My date had the seafood salad and I had the spicy beef salad. It was way bigger portions than we anticipated. Love the quality and combination of flavors. Definitely going back there during lunch for some client meetings. It is located on the Palo alto strip and you know that you can’t go wrong with that! Cheers!

Myself and a few coworkers were staying at the Creekside Inn right next to Cibo for a few days last week. Cibo became a natural meeting spot for us. The décor kind of reminds me of a Big Boy diner from back in the day. They were just missing the huge Big Boy statue out front. The servers were very friendly but were a wee bit slow, especially for how few guests were in the place at any given time. If you’re staying at the Creekside you’ll get little happy hour coupons to use at Cibo for wine or beer. For free wine it was pretty alright. I had the cab so can only speak for that one being tasty. Their breakfast was pretty good. I had a the creekside omelet. And for a dollar extra it magically became an egg white omelette! They will switch out the potatoes for fruit if you ask. That always makes me happy. The place was a step up from the normal restaurants you will find hooked to a little old hotel. I’d definitely stop by again if staying at the Creekside.

Not sure why Cibo isn’t getting better reviews. I come here for lunch usually every other week. The place is very nice – love the fact that there are a lot of comfy booths. Cloth napkins and nice presentation. Nice and quiet. Waiters are low key, but helpful and friendly. I have tried a number of their sandwiches as well as their salads. They are all tasty. The only thing that I would like for them to do is include bread with their salads. I always have to ask for some, but not a biggee.

A waste of money. As an explanation for how disappointing this place is, I’m told the chef has just changed… for the worse. We ordered the meatloaf and scallops. Meatloaf with a side of boxed mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetable meadly from the frozen food aisle might be better at Denny’s. Scallops might as well have come from there too. There was no sear on my pan-seared seafood, so each bite was a tasteless slimy blob. I’m pissed I paid $$$ prices food food I should have paid $ for at a diner, or made at home. Never Again. The iced tea was tasty…

We came here for Saturday brunch on the recommendation of a friend. I eat the same healthy and delicious breakfast 6 days a week. I look forward to my pancake on Saturday, and this was such a disappointment. It had absolutely no flavor, and was so rubbery you needed a knife to cut through. So sad, I didn’t even finish it. My husband asked if the corned beef hash was homemade, and was told it absolutely was, It wasn’t, it was obviously the canned stuff. He doesn’t mind the canned stuff occasionally, but don’t lie and say it’s homemade. That just sets unreasonable expectations. My poached eggs were fine, and the rest of my husband’s breakfast was fine, but not very hot. The place was pretty dead, but the server was pleasant, and food came out quickly. No reason to come back.

This restaurant has good service, but I thought the menu selection, décor, and prices were not aligned. I came here for a private event in the front room, then stayed for dinner. I ordered a pint of sierra nevada on draught. I went to get some hors d’oeurves, but they had run out by the time I went to get some. For dinner, we ordered the quesadillas for appetizer. fairly straightforward and good — it’s hard to mess up a mexican grilled cheese haha. I ordered the lemon cream ravioli. It was good, but there was a lemon seed in my dish. The prices were about $ 15-$ 25 per entrée, and the cuisine was american, mexican, persian, italian, etc… Overall, I thought this place was slightly tacky, with the average patron age of 60+

Our team used meeting space at Creekside Inn(and many of us stayed there, too) for a day and a half. We had Cibo do three meals for our group of 25(dinner, breakfast and lunch). We were all impressed with the service, the food and the cost. The Cibo team was completely on time, the kitchen put out some tasty options that were the same level of quality as if we had individually ordered from the menu, and it was all done with a smile. Good drinks coming out of the bar, too!

Came here with a friend for my b-day lunch. One of her favorite places. We started with the Hummus, which was excellent. 5 stars. Warm pita, and a spicy top to the hummus(red pepper). Yum! I could eat it all day. And night. I have the California BLT because I was craving avocado… which seems to be a running theme with me… It was decent. The sourdough was good. So was the bacon, lettuce, and tomato. But it was just that. Decent. 3 stars. Nothing amazing. Of course, I guess I wasn’t really expecting a life changing experience with a BLT. The drinks were ok. Not very strong. I had 2 gin and tonics and was fine. The dessert was amazing though. Ice Cream Mango goodness with raspberry and white chocolate crust. OHMYGOODNESS! 5 stars Service was fine. 3 stars. The waiter kept our waters full and did come to check on us. Our food came out fairly quickly and our bill was taken care of in a timely fashion. Overall, I felt it was a 3.5 star kinda place. Rounded up because the dessert was so freaking good. Decent place. Can’t go wrong here. Dessert is definitely worth a try! OHYES!
