If you know what you want, they almost always have it at a decent price. If they don’t carry it, or are sold out, they will order it for you and call you when it arrived a few days later. And yes, they really do call you.
But if you don’t know exactly what is needed to accomplish something, this is truly where they shine. I have seriously gone there with a vague description of the part I needed, and every time they have been able to take my description of «the metal part that connects to the toilet but not the wall and goes to the main tank» and other similarly unhelpful terminology and were able to walk me to what I needed.
The personal attention, and knowledgeable friendly staff are what make this store my ‘go to’ place for any type of hardware needs.

I LOVE this store! Not only are the employees friendly, helpful and funny, they always offer great solutions and suggestions for any problems you have… plumbing, electrical or anything else. There’s a great selection of stuff for the home and garden as well as tools for the professional. I go here rather than Walmart. Prices are good and even when they’re a bit more, it’s worth paying a little more because of the excellent customer service and help. There’s also a local family that sells veggies and honey during the week that makes this a classic community oriented business. Love ‘em.

A great alternative to a big box store and located just around the corner with convenient hours. They have a pretty good selection of things that typically fit the bill when missing an item for an around-​the-​house project. If they do not have it, they will order whatever you want. But what I really like is the personal attention I get whenever I shop here.
On two occasions, the staff was more the happy to help me with something that was not your typical home repair job. One was helping me figure out how to shore up support for a Halloween costume I had constructed. The staff person was totally into helping me figure out a solution for a not-​very-​typical hardware problem. His knowledge of hardware meant a terrific solution (and I won the Halloween costume contest too)

I had a plumbing emergency this afternoon and rushed over to Best Hardware for a part. The staff recommended a alternate solution that worked much better and faster. In my rush I forgot my wallet and he told me to go fix the problem and come back later. You don’t get service like that at the big box stores.
