Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast

Wim and Mieke have created a cozy and comfortable escape situated in a beautiful setting along the Manatee River in Palmetto, Florida. The décor is warm and inviting and draws you in as you sink into their soft leather couches and sip on a glass of delicious wine offered as you arrive onto the property. It is apparent that Wim and Mieke have paid close attention to every detail to ensure a memorable stay. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable resulting in a perfect nights sleep. The breakfast that greeted us the next morning was substantial and delicious. In addition to a wonderful nights stay, our family was fortunate enough to celebrate the union of our daughter, Lauren Hasty, and son in law, Nick Richardson at this elegant property. Everyone in attendance commented that this was the best wedding they had ever attended!!! Wim and Mieke were instrumental in making sure that every moment went without a hitch and helped us to create many beautiful memories. Our family truly appreciates every moment we had at your home. We feel like we have forged new friendships and look forward to staying at The Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast again very soon. I am not one to take time to review very often, but I must do so for Palmetto Riverside B&B. Words cannot express how magical my wedding was this past weekend, and I owe much of it to Wim and Mieke. We planned our wedding in Florida over two years, from Hong Kong and California– not an easy feat. I stumbled upon Palmetto Riverside B&B randomly and from the first time I looked at the photos, had a gut feeling that this was «the venue». My husband and I took a leap of faith and booked the venue blindly– and it was the greatest decision we made for our wedding.
The venue is stunning. The service is fantastic. Wim and Mieke are amazing– it’s very clear that they love their what they do and hospitality is in their blood. From answering every question in a timely manner (and I had quite a few, being across the world/​country and never having seen the venue) to making our wedding weekend incredible in every way, Wim and Mieke are incredible. They truly make you feel like family– when I was freaking out that my wedding gown was wrinkled, Wim offered to bring my dress to his friend’s bridal boutique to have it steamed… That doesn’t happen everywhere and I am so grateful!

I cannot recommend the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast enough!!! We wanted a vintage, romantic, casual wedding, and we got just that. We also stayed as regular guests twice before the wedding just to enjoy to bed and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful, and the breakfast is AMAZING… WAY too much to actually eat everything.
For the wedding, we reserved the venue under their «Golden Package» which gave us the entire property for the weekend, which I would highly recommend because it allowed us to do some set-​up and organization before hand. It was also great to have the night after to relax with family and friends. The house itself is gorgeous, and it showed in our photos and the day itself.
We had app 85 guests, and it was the perfect size for us with more than enough room to have space to share. Mieke and Wim, the owners, were probably the BEST part of the experience. They were so helpful in helping us plan the day based on their experiences. They were ALWAYS there with helpful suggestions, and were extremely responsive to emails and communications and we took their suggestions on other vendors on numerous occasions, including our caterer and were SOOOOO happy with all of their recommendations. We could not have been happier with our entire experience!
