Amazing little spot in palmetto bay!!! We had josh cabernet savignon From the specials: filet mignon medallions with truffle tries and the tuna tartare. Both delish Also had an onion soup which was amazing(my fave of all dishes) and half an order of moules. Service was outstanding !! We had a guy serving us and I missed his name, he was young, kinda long hair, he was fantastic! Must stop by if in the area.

I loved Bistro Foly! But they are never open! Ah it kills me! I went with the steak in the shallot sauce and haven’t stopped thinking about it yet! I just wish they would read this and open more often!

My wife and I like to get around Palmetto Bay by golf cart(the only way to travel!) and this is the only high end restaurant accessible by golf cart here. We had a date night last Friday night, and I am still thinking about how good this food was and singing its praises to anyone who asks. Be sure to have a reservation or be prepared to wait– the place is small and easy to miss, and there are only two seats at the bar if you would like to wait. I don’t know if it is that it is new and therefore everyone wants to try, or that this is a sign that their success(and therefore crowdedness) will continue. We went without reservations just in time as many people showed up after us and we watched them wait longer than we sat to eat a full meal with appetizers and desserts. The menu is nice and brief, with options that seem to suit every taste. We watched several entrees be delivered and they looked amazing. Great service– we have been back many times without disappointment.

This review is based only on Sunday brunch. Came in for Sunday brunch with my family around 12:30pm. From outside, this place really doesn’t say much but once you go inside we were pleasantly surprised with the décor and live jazz. It is has a European look which we enjoy very much. The staff is young but polite, however they do need to keep up with cleaning of the tables once customers step out. I noticed the turn over takes a long time and they seat new customers on tables that are not yet set up. We were one of those customers. The food was good. The foly burger was my favorite with mushrooms, brie cheese, bacon, and salad($ 13). It was cooked to my indications and the meat was very juicy. However, they were out of pretzel bun and I was looking forward to try it so I was surprised when the burger came to the table on a regular sesame bun. Regardless, I enjoyed it. The Foly croissant omelette was also good with ham and cheese accompanied by sautéed potatoes. It was very filling and the croissant was nice and flaky. The Mediterranean omelette with spicy«shrimp» and asparagus was not a favorite for us. The omelette was almost empty so we felt as we were just eating plain eggs. It was bland. I will not order this dish again. However, two out of three deserves a good comment on Unilocal and another visit It was a pleasant brunch in a nice relaxing atmosphere with some beautiful live jazz. The jazz was the icing on the cake.

I’d skip lunch any day for brunch this good! A true delight nestled in Old Cutler. The bad: No host available; seating is first come first serve. If you’re coming for the weekend brunch, get there early or make a reservation to beat the crowd; the ambience is welcoming yet small. The good: They café olé’ is delish as well as the traditional Americana. Fresh squeezed OJ is popular by all; at a hefty $ 5 per glass, I had to pass. Nonetheless our meals were phenomenal! My wife ordered the«Croquet Madame»(a ham sandwich over house sauce covered with cheese sent from god himself.) One would assume a French Bistro should have French Toast down to a science & indeed they do my friend! After living in Charleston, SC for 7 years(#1 city in the nation, #2 in the world, culinary mecca of the South) I have NEVER had French Toast this good!!! The bread says it all about the quality of ingredients Foly uses, it was wonderfully fresh and full of flavor; the perfect balance of egg, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk.

We just had breakfast here, and it was spectacular. The space is warm, inviting, and comfortable, and we had great, attentive service. We ordered the Norwegian Eggs(delicious and cooked perfectly), two scrambled eggs with potatoes and baguette(excellent), the almond pancakes(true game changer), and a chocolate croissant. We were so full that we took the croissant to go(eyes bigger than stomachs, as usual), but we will definitely be back to try more. There was also live jazz, which made the experience even better, especially considering that most Miami brunch places on a Sunday feel rushed and crowded. Love, love, love Bistro Foly.

Went for brunch today. Food was very good and mimosas were 2 for 1. Only complaint is that it was very hot(not sure if AC was working) and the live music altho nice was very loud(we couldn’t hear the server or people at my table). I couldn’t wait to finish my food and leave because of it. Despite this, I’d like to go back but hope its not hot and loud when I do.

We went to Bistro Foly for the first time on Father’s Day, June 21, 2015. What an amazing experience. I ordered to eggs Benedict with smoked salmon– spectacular. My husband had the eggs Benedict and my son had the Scottish omelette with smoked salmon, cream cheese and spinach — all 3 plates we excellent. The service was very good as the wait staff was attentive, polite, and quick. The ambience is also wonderful– not very large dining area but quiet enough to enjoy a conversation at the table. We are looking forward to returning for dinner. Fantastic neighborhood gem!

Quaint little hole in the wall spot. Minimal seating. Server took a while to greet at the table and ask drink order. Didn’t complain since I wasn’t in much of a rush and she was attending to a table of 4 who were on their way out. The food was great and so was her service once she got around to my table. Thanks Kelsey

This place is a hit or miss on both food and service. Ordered something and they brought something else because they ran out. We just looked puzzled and told them we weren’t eating something we didn’t order. No apology, actually owner looked annoyed that we returned the plates. I’ve gone back since there are very few places to eat in the area but honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Its too bad, if they knew customer service they could do so much better!

So, I returned for breakfast since my last review. Food was fantastic. Very tasty!!! I had the Norwegian eggs Benedict and I enjoyed every bite. The potatoes and grilled onions were delicious. The hollandaise sauce was perfect… The mimosas were just right and to make me give this experience 5 stars they had a jazz duo start playing the sax and guitar at around 11:45. Well done! Amazing touch for brunch!!! I will return and will certainly give dinner another try. Must add, service was great just like last time!!!

Amazing for brunch! We’re sitting here on Sunday completely full and happily surprised by the sax and acoustic guitar that was playing when we walked in. Will definitely be back again!

This place is right next to the Deering Estates. My husband and I occasionally go to the Starbucks in the same plaza and a barista raved about it and told us we don’t need reservations. We decided to try it out the next day. We arrived on a Saturday around 8PM. We were greeted by a nicely dressed man [I guess he was the owner] and he asked if we had a reservation. I told him we were told we didn’t need one. He said for next time, it is best to make reservations because they get quite busy. However, he had a couple of tables available and we were seated immediately. My husband ordered a mimosa which was good but nothing special and escargot for an appetizer. The escargot was delicious! For our entrees, I ordered the lobster ravioli and my husband ordered the duck confit. The duck was good but a little dry and my ravioli was a bit on the salty side. I wouldn’t order it again. The serving sizes were pretty good for a french restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive. The people sitting next to us ordered some very yummy looking soups which I would like to try next time. Maybe next time we can try their brunch.

I had this place booked mark for a bit. From the reviews it sounded wonderful. Finally got my chance to go with my sister. I love the fact it’s 5 min from my house. We don’t have many fine dining establishments locally. So I was excited for this place. I made reservations from the recommendations of other reviews. I made a reserv. At 630. They say it’s not required, but advised since place is small and fills up fast. Yep! They were right. we got there and was empty. Seated right away. Our waiter was very nice. The price of the food!!! Not so nice. I thought it to be very pricey. We ordered red wine. First glass I tried tasted watered down. It was a Bordeaux, which to me is more bold in flavor. So I sent it back and got the Cab. Much better. It should be for $ 11 a glass. My 10yr was with us. I highly recommend to leave the kiddies at home unless you’re willing to pay $ 33 for a steak they’ll only eat half of. No kid menus. I ordered him the side dish of pasta and marina. $ 6. Thank god they had that. My sister and both ordered the faux poivre. The food was divine. Steak very tender, juicy and full of bold flavor of peppercorn. It came with a side if au gratin potatoes. Which seem a little on bland side. Once the place got filled up, our service slowed down. But he came by to check up on us. Overall I was a bit disappointed bc the prices are too much for what you get. The décor was full of French style paintings, on the modern side. Music was nice, not too loud. I’ll have to give their brunch a try first. I hear it’s great. The 4 stars is bc the prices.

So disappointed! Came in on Valentine’s Day for lunch around 1pm and we were asked if we had a reservation. Unfortunately we did not. At this point the person asking basically told us he couldn’t serve us because he had to wait for the people coming in with reservations. There’s at least 5 open tables and another one that is holding gifts. What a RUDE guy. WOW!!! Look at the picture… they’re in the weeds and the restaurant isn’t full… amateurs.

One year after opening in Palmetto Bay, this intimate restaurant continues to deliver a wonderful French bistro lunch and dinner. Their duck is perfection; the chicken Masala is moist and flavorful and their desserts are evil. We love the mussels and the escargot. The menu delivers!!! This New Year’s eve my wife and I reserved a late table and had a light meal and shared much of it. This was a wonderful start to 2015. We comfortably recommend Bistro Foly to our neighbors. The food is fresh and prepared with care and presented with elegance. The bread is delicious, so don’t spoil the meal by eating too much. Their wines and champagnes are reasonably priced. Today(after New Year’s Eve) we decided to go back for brunch for the first time in a year. We both had the eggs benedict and the eggs were poached to perfection(which is something we don’t often say anywhere we go). They had a jazz combo playing in the restaurant and we enjoyed the late morning experience tremendously. The prices are well within reason. Here is the bottom line, try this neighborhood French outpost. In our culinary wanderings, we recommend that this will be worth the visit!

Nice ambience, although a little noisy. Good service until there was only one waiter ant the poor guy had to tend to all the tables. My wife had the sirloin special. Good meet beautiful sauce. But the onion rings were nothing French. They belonged in the county fair. And it costed $ 34! I had the potato-leek soup. Good. Then the country pâté. Good. But lacking the special flavor of good French cuisine. For dessert the Tarte Tatin. Disappointing! Too sweet. Not special cream(just spray cream). We had to glasses of Côte de Rhone. Good but too warm. In summary, some things good, some below expectation, none outstanding. Not what I expected for a $ 100 dinner for two.

Rudest owner standing at the door. Had a nasty face when we arrived at 2:20p even though it closes at 3p! Left the air off, lied when we questioned it and miraculously turned it back on!!! The waiter and kitchen were good, feel sorry for them. Will never go back, can’t wait to see the new restaurant when this guys crashes and burns. Just watched him turn away two ladies at 2:45p, clearly he profiled them. Let’s not mention he left is without water because that’s how an owner reprimands customers.

This is one of our favorite spots for breakfast in the Palmetto Bay area even though they also serve lunch and dinner. It opened last year and it’s been a good addition to our list of favorite places close to home. They are located on the corner of Old Cutler Road and 168 St in a small strip plaza so parking is usually not a problem. The place is nicely decorated showing a perfect blend of modern décor and casual elegance. Service has always been deserving of 5 stars. As soon as you walk through the door you will be greeted with a smile and the owner Dominique is always around making sure your experience is the best. The food has always been delicious and it’s served in beautiful white China which makes for an impeccable looking meal. We have tried many different breakfast items on the menu and they have all been outstanding but we were really impressed to see that our pancakes were served with homemade Raspberry Coulis and it was absolute delicious. I can’t comment on the lunch items but I will soon. I will definitely keep coming back.

3.5 stars for a French little place. The décor and ambience deserve a solid 5! but the food is ok. For a small french place this location is great, you will not see it from Old Cutler Road. The only thing you see is the Starbucks in the corner. The food, is good. We were a pretty large group of 6 people. We ordered, escargots, carpaccio, pâté; appetizers were great! escargots were missing a bit of flavor, but were good. On to the entrees, I had the mussels, which were a bit skinny; flavor was good. Ordered the NY steak strip, good flavor, sea bass(mhhh… maybe not here). For a quick french fix, and this is in your neighborhood, it’s good. But I’ve had better. They breakfast menu looks very good. Will probably give them a try for breakfast.
