Just be aware that you have to cook your own burger! I’m not sure how that is supposed to work when you are out to dinner with friends and then you have to leave the table to cook your burger. Would I have not just stayed home and cooked? The wings were so-so and the nachos were cold and inedible. Smoking is allowed on the deck, so, if don’t enjoy cigarette smoke, don’t eat outside. Horrible food, horrible service… don’t bother!

If you don’t like this place, you are a stuck up aristocrat. Best wings I’ve had in years. Service was friendly, beer was cold, great little spot. Wings are a 10⁄10 and the burger I tried that my buddy got was delicious. You may need to pre-Tums before you go, but then again 6 of us shared 80 wings. So maybe thats for you to decide.

This place has legendary wings. It’s a hole in the wall but we literally drive 45 mins for the wings. Good atmosphere, kind of a biker spot but they are always friendly. You can grill your own steaks and chicken too. If you are in the area check this place out.

My boyfriend and I came here for last St. Patty’s day for a few beers(fun, loud, typical st patties day experience) and he insisted we go back for dinner last night. I was hesitant to get steaks here because I thought it was just a bar, but wow, this place really impressed me! They bring you whatever cut of steak you like(extremely reasonable price) and you take it to the grill and cook it however you like. Fun opportunity to chat with others. Also had jalapeño poppers as appetizer, so yummy. GREAT steak dinner for two with a pitcher of beer under $ 60? Definitely worth the 30 min drive. Will be back, soon!

What a fun spot! We had dinner here late one night. It’s definitely off the beaten path if you’re not already in the Palmer Lake area, but well worth it. The night we arrived there was a college party playing sing-a-long with the jukebox, which was incredibly fun to watch and instantly let us know that almost anything goes at this great neighborhood bar. We loved it! While the name may suggest it’s all about the steaks, we’ve heard great things about their wings. We had a dozen or so wings and a(huge) basket of fries and everything was delicious. The wings are worth the drive alone. However, the cook-your-own steak grill has me really intrigued, so I may need to get a burger or steak next visit. And there will be more visits.

Great local spot with amazing friendly service. Everyone feels like they are welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. Deep fried veggies and thick French fries are well worth keeping company with their great beers. Great place.

I don’t typically write poor reviews, but this place was SO not for me. I ordered a drink then saw I was supposed to cook my own meat. I ordered a burger thinking I should be open to new things, but I can’t grill at home, so not sure what magic I thought I could summon in a crowded loud bar trying to grill a patty next to men who knew how to work a spatula. My friend’s burger was raw in spots and inedible. I can cook my own food in a fondue restaurant but not on a grill. We didn’t order other food to comment on that. We did get the salad bar which was lacking pretty heavily as well. Won’t be back. If you don’t grill and if you don’t like crowded bars, pass this one up.

Look, the food is good as are the drinks, but what impressed me was the staff. This is a small town bar to which I went while visiting my brother, who had himself just moved to the town. In no time at all I felt like family there. I also saw them do the same to everyone that came in. The service was prompt and I noted they remembered little things about my group from one bust two days earlier to the next. I plan on making this a stop every time I travel to the area.

We’d been regulars here, but the last time we came in the staff changed the songs we had paid to play on the jukebox and were making comments behind the bar and in the kitchen within ear and eyesight. Totally rude and unacceptable behavior!

Yes I FINALLY made it here after taking in a movie with my blushing bride. We’d been curious about this bar for some time and had an afternoon to kill without the kids so we made the scenic drive to beautiful Palmer Lake to grab a few beers at the fabled O’Malley’s. This place isn’t just very Colorado; it’s very Palmer Lake. Interior isn’t exactly spacious, lots of wood everywhere, rustic décor, plenty of what appears to be memorabilia with significant meaning to the proprietors, and at that time of year a row of employee Christmas stockings that suggested they employed not only the requisite staff but an additional 25 elves. The beer selection was on par with any Colorado mountain town that knows what good beer is but still has to appease the Miller Lite crowd. The service was very friendly and personable. I heard wonderful things about a few menu items but could also see enough through the kitchen door to opt against getting food this trip. It’s possible it was overhyped to me by neighbors, I mean it is one of the few places in the tri-lakes area open till 2:00 am *daily* and that’s a hell of a selling point, but it may require several more trips back before I experience enough of the place to rank it more highly.

This was typical bar, actually surprised that there weren’t motorcycles parked out in front. But it was a cool day and a warm car might beat freezing on two wheels. I had the pulled pork sliders. They were okay, as were the french fries, but nothing to write home about. I’d try them again, average is okay if you’re hungry in a small town.

These are some of the best wings I have had in Colorado. The sticky tables make it feel like you are getting the wings in Buffalo. The wings are cooked crispy and have a great classic sauce. I truly am a wing snob and this fills the void for getting my fix.

The quality of the meat is great, be sure to ask for a thicker cut, it costs a few bucks more, but well worth it. Fun to cook your own steak, that way you can really get it the way you want. Good and attentive service Loud but fun!

I will travel near and far to try wings. If I hear from word of mouth that the wings are good then I will go and go quickly. Friends said that O’malley’s was the place to go-so go I did. Went there and first thing is first-they have cold Coors Original on draft. You would think this would be everywhere in Co but no! So that is how I started the new culinary experience and I knew I was in for good things from that point. Looking at the menu and being tempted to order so many things-I held strong with 10 wings and fries. A breath of fresh air when ordering wings because you only order an amount. There isn’t different flavors-no boneless wings-just wings in their original state. The fries were a snap decision because a person near me had them and they were made there. Wings came out and they didn’t last long because they were so good. Good sauce-good crisp on the wings-good mixture of drums and wings. The fries were thick cut-a little crispy(love that)-and plentiful. Overall I had a great experience-the waitresses are very nice and the bikers and other patrons are too. The person with me got the nachos with green chili-not a big portion but we’re not too bad.

Flew in from Houston TX and always check Unilocal for a great place that locals hang out and we found it. We sat on the patio and had a great time. The chicken wings were amazing and the Fries are awesome. Love that they are real cut fries with the skins left on. We aren’t quite use to the altitude of CO so we were stuffed, otherwise my husband wanted to try the Bison Burger. Maybe next time!

Cook your own steak, cut to order. Great prices. NY Strip or Ribeye. House cut French-Fries or Baked Potato & salad bar included. The wings here are also great. Omalley’s offers only one kind of classic buttery buffalo sauce —over fat little wings&drummies. The house-made ranch& blue cheese dressings are a treat. Bison or beef burgers or grilled chicken available too. The owner and waitresses &cooks are REALLYNICE! Pitchers of beer are a good price. Lots of good drafts. Full bar. Juke box &pool tables. Sports on the many TVs. Great patio, smoking allowed, with views of the mountains, lake, motorcycles&trains . Dogs are welcome. Maybe not great for kids, it’s more of a bar, really. Nice mix of locals & visitors.

If I rated O’malley’s on food alone — I would give it a 4 or 4.5. BUT — I have to take into consideration my surroundings and the overall experience. First let me say that this was a fluke today. My husband and I were headed to La Rosa for lunch — I’ve heard great things and we were both in the mood for Mexican. Unilocal shows that La Rosa is open from 11:30 — 2 on Friday’s. Not so! 5:00PM weekdays and I think 10:00 am on Sunday’s. We were bummed! As we were headed back home to Castle Rock, we passed O’Malley’s which was just up the street. It looked busy so we stopped by. Oh — and of course I had to check Unilocal to see if it was suitable! We ordered chicken wings and split a cheeseburger. Both were delicious. I love crispy wings and these did not disappoint. The burger was juicy and properly cooked. NOTE — there is a grill and it is for patrons to cook their own steaks and burgers — our burger was cooked in the kitchen which made me very happy. Hand cut french fries rounded out the meal. I go out to eat so I don’t have to cook. As far as I could tell they only offer one sauce for the wings — a nicely heated buffalo sauce. Prices were incredibly reasonable. Filled to the top tap beer — a Batch 19 — only $ 3.50. Coors light a bargain at $ 2.50! Why 3 stars? This is clearly a local place which is great but the locals that were there at the time of our visit were loud and profanity flowed freely. Now I can curse like a sailor — but only in private — never in a public place. It was very annoying and uncomfortable. The music was also too loud and very bizarre techno scream. I asked if the music could be changed or turned down and the bartender said the controls were stuck and she couldn’t change it — huh??? All in all — food was great and beer was cold. We will definitely go back!
