Select Home Furnishings has been the worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing furniture. First all my furniture had dents and scratches on them, They were nice enough to let me use them until they were exchanged. Well today exchanges were delivered to my home. Dresser was broken and scratched on lower section. Is furniture not inspected prior to delivery? Especially an exchange. Called Select Furnishings, where lady handling the phones gave me another number to call, why she couldn’t take care of problem or transfer me to someone that could is beyond me. I will return all my furniture and would not recommend this business to any one. I should of gone to Ashley’s in the first place.

Horrible place to buy furniture they don’t explain things they don’t say that is final sale on anything you buy to much confusion with people and their manager the manager never goes to speak to you he sends his third parties to do it for him and they put new people not trained well to the sales floor to try to sell you things. They say everything is going to get charge on finance and then when you get your things deliver there is an extra charge why don’t they inform this to the customers are we supposed to guess this? After you pay they say everything is good you even asked them even delivery right they say yes, but little that you know little surprises keep coming when they are delivering charge for delivery, what you think you had order is incomplete extra charge if you want that part. They lie so much and their furniture is cheap not worth it!!! No wonder they don’t have enough people shopping here. Don’t go here save your self time and problems with this people and everyone that puts review here work here they are a bunch of liars. You buy here you are going to be getting stress out with them arguing and wasting your time and money. I think my next purchase I rather do it at Ashely Furniture store than here yes you pay more but they are more detailed on explaining and delivery is thru them not third parties!!!

I just moved to Palmdale and am in need to furnish my home. I went in on 12÷27÷15 had a descent shopping experience and ended up purchasing a bed frame, mattres, dining room set, and a coffee table set. I was told the dining table set had a 3 – 4 week lead time but the sales man told me he would see what he could do to get it sooner. I was really hoping I could have my items in time for my New Year’s eve dinner, but understood that it would be tough… fine. I began calling after about 3 weeks of no communication from SHF or a delivery company or anyone. Whenever I did get someone on the phone I was told I’d get a call back, which never happened. Finally I got some help and got my bed and coffee tables delivered on 1÷30÷16… my dining room set is still pending, it is now 2⁄12. This place has gorgeous furniture and nice sales people but the customer service and communication after you’ve made a purchase is terrible! I am extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to purchasing some living room pieces but now I feel I must look elsewhere. I would like to cancel my table order but sales contract says all sales are final. I’m now making payments on items I do not even have. Not sure what I can do next but I am looking into filing a complaint with the BBB.

I am so disappointed with this store. I went in on 08÷28÷15 and purchased a sofa. They«delivered» it on 09−04−15. Once the delivery guys put it together I noticed that it wasn’t the one I had ordered. I told the delivery guys and they called the store and informed me that I was to call to see what had happened. Instead of calling I went in around 11:30 am, spoke to the salesperson that had helped me on 08⁄2815 and he stated he had made a mistake and that he was sorry and would call me to let me know when I would be receiving it. On 09÷06÷15, I called them since I had not received a call back from them and they stated they need to talk to the salesperson and would call me back. Finally on 09÷10÷15 my husband went in spoke to the manager and he arranged for the sofa to be delivered on 09÷16÷15 between 10 am –1:00pm. My husband took the morning off from work to wait for the delivery. The delivery guys didn’t show up until 2:00pm and no one was home. When I called to see what happened all they kept telling me was that they were sorry and did not know what happened. This has been a nightmare. I am still waiting on a call back to see when and what time they will deliver the couch! The worst part about this is that my husband and I keep taking time off from work to get our furniture and still we have no couch!

Lots of our home furniture comes from this place! We have tables, chairs, a couch and even a bed frame from this store. There is probably more I don’t know about. Prices are very good for the style and quality of items given. Driving the items to your home is 100 $. Look in the Sunday papers. Whenever you see tents outside, come because you will get an unexpected deal. I have always had great customer service for the dozens of times we have been here to check out items or to buy.

Good selection, terrible customer service. After searching the entire store, the salesman found the perfect chest for my daughter’s room at a good price. I told him I’d come back after lunch for it. When I returned later, he wrote up the paperwork and asked if I’d like to order it. I was confused and told him that I’d arranged for my friend to come and get it right now. That’s when he told me it was on hold for someone else. He spoke to the manager and they arranged for me to take that one. Once they got it out to the warehouse I noticed two cracks in it, one on the side and one on the face of a drawer. I went back in to speak to the manager, expecting he would make it right. Not only did he refuse to do so, he blamed me for not inspecting it closer and said«that’s what you get when you buy as-is.» Excuse me? Since when is new furniture considered«as-is»? He said I’d already gotten a big discount of 40% off. When I showed him the paperwork and it was only on sale for 10% off he said the original price had been much higher. Apparently, the price can change after the sale as can the conditions. At no time did the salesperson say anything about the piece being on hold or being anything other than brand new. I do not recommend this store and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Awesome experience! My family member and I went in there after searching many places and disappointment, we came here and struck gold. The store is very open and peaceful with furniture spread out tastefully. We were helped by a young man named Winston who was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He wasn’t too intrusive and not too distant. He was the perfect salesman. The best! He focused on what my relative wanted and even basic customer service like bringing us bottles of water. In the end she bought a couch, SHF also has delivery options through a third party service whereas most places don’t have any kind of delivery. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot if you are looking for decent furniture, decent prices, and good sales people who treat you like a customer should be treated!
