I’ve eaten here twice, I gave it a second chance in hopes the first visit was just an off day, although I realized my experience was common practice. Food is mediocre, hit or miss for sure, however my main issue with this place is the staff. They’re rude, inattentive, and seem as if they hate their job. ZERO customer service, not even as much as a greeting when you walk in, or a thank you as you walk out. If the food was excellent I’d grit my teeth and endure the rudeness but being mediocre at best, it’s not worth it when there’s better options around.

If you’re here for the Chinese food itself, it’s good. Fast, easy, no wait at all. I ordered the J-3 special which includes one entrée, a side(either fried rice, steamed rice or chow mein) and a sushi entrée(there are 9 choices to select from; a combo or rolls and sushi). I got their daily special which was some type of sweet chicken entry. That was good. Side order was fried rice. That too was good. Both were generous portions. Now for the sushi entrée, I got the spicy tuna roll. That was bleh. Also, the ginger and«wasabi» that came with it tasted old. Big bleh. Also, the cook messed up my order, I guess he didn’t hear the server/cashier he had to make the sushi roll for my order so my service took longer than normal; about 20 minutes. Other patrons who entered the store after me had been waited on and their food served. I’d come back here again and try a different roll next time. The tuna was way too pink IMO, maybe they added food dye. I’ll get the cooked rolls next time JIC.

Place is not much to look at, but this little hole in the wall has the most amazing orange chicken! Their portions are very generous for such a small cost. Staff is friendly.

My husband and I decided to eat here the other night. Took the food to go, prices were very reasonable considering the generous portion size. I got the 3 meal combo consisting of Kung pao chicken, orange chicken, and a side of egg rolls. Husband ordered the same and chow mein. Kung pao wasn’t as spicy as I would have liked. Orange chicken was good and the egg rolls were mushy inside. Tasted my husbands chow mein, surprisingly lacked salt. I thought asian Chinese food was supposed to be salty?! However, I did notice they served sushi here. It did look tasty, I might just come back and try the sushi. Overall, I would consider this place mediocre. This place isn’t bad for what you’re paying for just don’t expect to be blown away.

The owner Andy is the reason why I go back every time :) thanks to him I get my Spicy Shrimp Tempura Roll exactly how I like it. Their combinations are great if your looking for Chinese food/Sushi or both. Their Taro Boba Slush is a 3⁄5 and that’s pretty good for palmdale.

Rude staff and hit or miss food. We used to go here a lot, at least once a week, but the continued rudeness of the staff has finally been enough and we stopped going. How hard is it to simply smile and act like you want customers? Also, if you tell me 15 minutes when I place an order over the phone it should not start when I arrive in 15 minutes. Does it really take 30 minutes to make 3 California rolls and 1 specialty roll?

Good place! Not that bad and price is reasonable. At least they don’t water down the hot sauce. You get what you pay for. Sushi is a bit pricey then again its yummy!

Great food, whenever I ask the kids where they want to go, one or both say, «Haru House!» They like the combo with Ca roll, my favorite is baked salmon roll, but sometimes pick another for a change. Friendly staff too!

I ordered a simple 1 item combo teriyaki chicken with a diet coke, the fried rice was as hard as rocks, the chicken had groups of pin feathers on the under sides and the soda was a dr. Pepper! All around fail! The girl behind the counter spoke no english she just kept smiling and bowing her head! Finally the cook came out and i showed him the feathers he grabbed the contain er and ran to the back where he yelled loudly in some sort of Asian language he came back up and said he would make me fresh one… I said i would pass and asked for my money back. He said no refunds and walked back into the kitchen leaving me there with the smiling and bowing girl… I never got my money back… Screw this place!!!

I love this place. Andy who is the sushi king is great. The abundance of food for the money is reasonable. The green tea is delicious especially with boba… yummy!

Read the good reviews and I got a coupon in the mail for buy 2 meals get 1 free, so the family and I decided to give Haru House a try. Upon arrival I noticed that most of the entrees looked like they have been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The only thing«full» and«fresh» looking was the orange chicken. I ordered a 3 entrée meal &2 J-3’s which included an entrée, a side and a sushi side & a large milk tea boba for take-out. –Orange Chicken: was good, the meat had a dark gray color to it though, a bit weird. –Kung Pao Chicken: alright, really spicy –String Bean Chicken: alright, string beans kind of tough –Noodles were fine, not greasy which is good, but also, not memorable. –Sushi, crab roll was good. Spicy tuna roll, however, was warm and did not taste very fresh. The worst part of the meal was the boba milk tea. I’m pretty sure that the milk that they used in it was very expired. It tasted sour and disgusting and I had to throw it out after one sip. Disappointed that i decided to try it once we got home. Overall it was whatever. Wouldn’t be so disappointed if their prices were lower. I can’t even say that you get what you pay for. Dragon Garden down the street is cheaper and tastes so much better.

I was looking for something quick and didn’t have time to hit up Uozumi, so I came here(not to mention this is cheaper than Uozumi). I am not quite sure what to rate this place, either 2, 3, or 4 star, so read on and see if I got it right. The Good: — Reasonable prices for the portion that you get. I got the J-3 combo which is one side, one sushi option, and a Chinese entrée option for $ 7.99. I got the green bean chicken, spicy tuna roll, and chow mein. — Spiciness of tuna in the tuna roll was to my liking. I don’t like places that make it less spicy. — Boba milk tea was good. The milk tea tasted fresh and not like the powdered mix kinds from Quickly or other big name places. Boba was soft and chewy. — Great service. I think the owners run the place and the woman behind the counter was friendly. She welcomed everyone who walked in the door. — Food was not greasy and I couldn’t detect any MSG in it. — Good size portions Take it or Leave it: — Green bean chicken was slightly salty and kind of slimy? It was lacking some oomph to it, like maybe needed more spices. I’ve had better at other places. — Chow mein was also lacking something — i can’t seem to pinpoint it. It was a little bland. — Sushi rice was plain. It seemed to be missing the rice vinegar. I wouldn’t go so far as to say this is better than Panda Express. It might be healthier, but in terms of taste, I’ve had better.

I eat at Haru at least once a week. Everything I’ve had there is great. The veggie roll is big and fat; avocado & cucumber. Sushi and roll prices are fair. Smoothies are of the ice & mix variety, very little fresh fruit, but they’re good. I love the chow mein and avocado salad. I love this place in general because it offers the usual Chinese fast food along with a nice variety Japanese-style salads, soups, sushi, & rolls. It really is the best of both worlds.

I so love this place. Great food and great people. Also love that they offer Sushi too. For a quick sushi fix this places is great. They also give huge portions for their combo plates. The food is also very fresh I know one thing, I won’t be going back to Panda Express anytime soon.

Best of both worlds! The chinese food is really good. Way better, and cheaper than panda express. It’s not greasy. The made to order smoothies/slushies are the bomb. The sushi that comes with the combo plates are pretty basic but still good. The made to order sushi rolls are pretty impressive. They’re big and the fish is nice and fresh. The noodle soup is packed; not skimpy at all. TRY this place out!!! Only cheap, good, sushi spot on the East side(right next to Vallarta)
