Forge

This store sells some really unique art, gifts, food items, clothing and home décor items. It’s always fun to browse and buy something one-​off.
Two locations: one in the Antelope Valley Mall next to Red Robin restaurant and the other on Lancaster Blvd. in a shop space at the Laemmle Cinema at 742 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster, CA 93 534.

Some time ago, I purchased a wool hat from Forge at the Laemmle as a gift for a family member. The family member loved the hat and it looked so cute on her that someone actually stole it from her :(Months later, she was still trying to find someone to knit her the exact same hat but without luck. People who said they could knit the hat never followed through. Anyway, cut to a couple of months ago and we are walking through the AV Mall and there we see that Forge has opened a new store. I say to her, «Let’s go in and see if they have your hat.» Well, at the time they didn’t but I asked the sales staff at the store if they could perhaps find us one. The sales staff (owner, store manager?) said that she knew exactly the hat we were describing and said that she would let us know if one ever came in. I left my phone number and that was that. Or so we thought. Some weeks later, imagine my surprise when the lady called me to let me know that she had the hat. I was completely surprised that she had remembered us, not to mention that she had kept my phone number in order to call me! How often does that happen?
I was so happy to go in and see that exact same hat LOL I just gave it to the family member for her birthday and she danced around the room with joy: D Thanks Forge for making our day.
