I have been away from the valley for some time due to college. This place was my go to after the gym every morning. The staff is nice and the food is always good. I recommend the Guadalajara skillet or one of the scrambles with their homemade salsa! I’ve never had a dull moment from this place and I’m happy that I returned after a while.

Not impressed. Food mediocre. Very expensive. I had to get up and go to the counter 3 times! to remind them about my coffee and when they forgot to give me my daughters milk. Definitely NOT coming back. That’s what I get for trying something new.

I always have a good meal when I come. The service is quick, the food is good, and at a good price. The honey nut muffin is SPECTACULAR. I see it in my dreams :) The only downfall is the space. The tables are very close together and can feel tight when there are a lot of people.

I went to this place because I saw the good reviews it had and how good people were talking about, well let me tell you this place is the worst place I ever came to eat. In the back of there menu said that they had fresh fruit everyday but they didn’t I ordered a Turkey sandwich with fruits for my son the strawberries were old and the Turkey had no mayonnaise and the turkey looked old not even fresh. I am never eating at this place again!

The food is very good, it has a touch of Mexican Kitchen. The only reason why 4 stars is because there was a waiting line and the tables were too close to each other.

Is there anything lower than 1 star? I ordered the machaca plate for breakfast. Looked like someone threw up and served it. Everything was gross about it. From presentation, to texture, to taste. I will never stop here again until they hire new chefs. You other people who gave raving reviews must have either never had good food or are just stupid. Im going to Denny’s time or rather starve or eat my own poop like a monkey. My brother ordered the chicken fried steak. There was NOTHING chicken fried about it. Maybe call it over fried crap at best. I attempted to make my own CFS and it was bad, but so much better than this piece of cardboard they serve. Im not sure how this place stays in business with this kind of trash they are feeding people. Another sibling ordered steak and eggs. What cut of beef was that?! Horrible. I swear to you readers that it was a steak put together with meat glue. The damn steak was as tough as the worse beef jerky you ever had. The damn gravy is really just dirty toilet water. The damn eggs were jimmy dean microwave ready quality. Oh nevermind jimmy dean is better. Go to the McD’s in Walmart. I wish we had did this before. Now we are all sitting in the toilet with stomach pains. Chellye’s Café sucks. Hands down the worse food we have ever had.

My husband and I discovered this place by accident but let me tell you it was not a bad accident at all. This place has amazing food at really good prices. The people are really friendly and quick to lend a helping hand. I do wish it was easier to locate but other then that it’s an amazing dinning experience.

The customer service is perfect, every time i go, they seat me really quickly. The food is really good too! I tried the Chicken burger on wheat bread, its amazing. I also tried the Veggie Omelet which was also great. I also don’t think the prices are too bad. Ultimately, its a better choice than Denny’s for breakfast(for me).

Wow this place is everything you dream about a dinner and more. And you know when there are Mexicans in the kitchen your in good hands. So I ordered a black bean, chili, Avo, and sour cream omelette cooked soft. It was one of the best omelettes of my life! Side of fresh tortillas and hash browns. So damn good. Not to mention the fresh orange juice and their in house salsa which actually was the best salsa I have ever had. I bought a large container to take home. Thanks Chelley! Keep up the great work!

Came here for lunch on this beautiful rainy cold day. As soon as I walked in I felt they had the heater on and it felt good. Everything looked so good on the menu and I was in the mood for breakfast but couldn’t decide what to get. I ended up getting the Belgian waffle with scramble eggs and turkey bacon. And my coworker ordered the French toast. I tried her French toast. Both were very very good. The eggs were perfectly scrambled. Not hard not soft. The waffle was crunchy and soft in the middle. French toast was perfectly coated and not mushy. The staff was friendly too. I normally always take pics of the food but I devoured it too fast! That’s how good it was! I am definitely coming back here.

Always good food. Never had an issue. Open floor plan with tables and chairs only makes for a noisy dining experience. Quick to get you seated and food comes out just as fast. Staff is always friendly and makes you actually feel welcome.

Keep in mind that, as an LA person, I’m looking at this place though an LA lens. That being said, it’s: 1. Super cheap! 2. Not cute and cozy, like some people have said. There’s not much in the way of ambience, in fact, all I really noticed was ALLTHEOTHERPEOPLE! It’s busy! But the wait was only about 20 — 25 minutes on a Sunday morning around 9:30 /10am. I got the #3 scramble, sans cheese, and it was AWESOME! Maybe one of my favorite scrambles of all time. Half an avocado was sliced on top. It came with some delicious home fries – so many I couldn’t even come close to finishing – and a muffin. I chose the banana chocolate chip muffin, and that was a little disappointing. I saw some honey oat muffins go by, and those looked like the best choice. Anyway, all that for under $ 10 is a win in my book.

I visited family in Palmdale for the week, so checked Unilocal for a good breakfast place in their area that doesn’t belong to a chain. Chelly’s came up with good reviews so I gave it a try and went there with my sister. I had the Eggs Benedict as that is my measuring stick for breakfast places and generally the deciding factor if I will return. The hollandaise sauce had a little too much lemon in it, but was a good consistency and there was enough to ensure every bite would have some sauce with it. The sauce may have been a tad sour, but the eggs were perfectly poached and the bacon and English muffin were good as well. The orange juice was outstanding and freshly made. My sister had an omelet that she enjoyed and devoured. The next morning I went solo, mainly because I was fiending the orange juice. I ended up ordering chilaquiles(mild, with red sauce), which is something I have not had since Mexico. If you haven’t had them it can be best described as soggy corn chips with salsa and cheese; doesn’t sound good, but they are awesome!(especially with a hangover) Interestingly, the busboy initially took my orange juice order and brought a glass over which I immediately took a giant quaff of weak orange juice … This is not the same stuff! The waitress came over a few minutes later and looked at the half-empty glass and asked if it tasted okay and she could tell it wasn’t due to my hesitation to answer. She took the glass and said she would bring another, which she did and then told me the last glass wasn’t mixed so all the goodness had settled to the bottom of the pitcher. That glass of OJ was just as awesome as the one from the day before. Anyways, the chilaquiles came out and was very good and initiated a food coma. The last full day of my visit I brought my Mom in for breakfast. Of course, orange juice was the first thing on my mind, like I was some orange juice junkie. I ordered the Belgian Waffle with eggs and bacon, and my Mom got hash browns, eggs and sausage and a home-made honey nut muffin. I explained Unilocal to my Mom, and she told me to say in the review, «The muffin is divine.» I tried a piece and yeah it was good, but I think I would rather have a blueberry muffin. The waffle was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle and had a vanilla cinnamon flavor. It was a good waffle. I ordered a pumpkin muffin for my Mom to go, which she ate the next morning and said was good. I visited Chelly’s three times on a five-day vacation! Yeah, it is good. The staff is very friendly and it doesn’t take very long to get the food or get seated. Although all my visits were during the week so I can’t say how weekend waits would look like.

In one word: SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE. These folks know how to make a breakfast customer happy. Seated immediately upon entering; a menu was give just as quick, order taken and food served; just that fast. Also, my coffee cup NEVER went low, I must have been asked 5 times how was everything and did I need anything else. Everyone working here was happy, professional and expedient. They made me feel like a local, and this was my first time there. The food was fantastic, prices fair and service outstanding. I will be back next time I’m in town.

Can see why this place gets great reviews and they were packed at 9am on a Friday to prove it! The servers went above and beyond to take care of everyone and food came out quick and hot! Definitely diner quality fare but made w an extra degree of love! Wasn’t disappointed by my ABC omelette and the rest of my party cleared their plates as well… Back on the road now ready to take on the world!

The Antelope Valley doesn’t have a lot of great breakfast/brunch restaurants. This one is definitely a gem. Chelly’s Café is small and hidden in a row among other small stores but it’s definitely worth stopping by. We went on a Saturday morning and the place was about 75% full. We were sat immediately and our drinks were ordered right away. Our servers name was Kelly and her customer service was great. She let us look over the menu&made sure to check in on us. We ordered: — Chilaquiles with green sauce&beans. — Howie’s Waffles — they were topped with strawberries, blueberries&bananas. — Eggs Benedict with hash browns. EVERYTHING was great and we had no complaints on any of the dishes. Service was great, their orange juice is freshly squeezed, &the prices are very reasonable. As we were leaving there were about three larger parties waiting outside to be seated. The place is small so if you have to wait I’m sure it can be quite some time. But I honestly feel the food is worth the wait! Great experience overall and will definitely be back again.

This is the only breakfast location in the mall area that I know of besides IHOP. Thus it is especially busy for breakfast, especially on the weekends. I have been there weekends and weekdays and it has always been busy. They do not seem to employ very many waitresses, I’ve always seen the same two and the owner. They rush around the restaurant taking care of everyone, but its a pretty long wait if you need anything after you order. The restaurant can be very noisy and the glare from the windows makes it difficult to see. They have curtains on most of the windows but the main doors are not shaded and thus cause quite a bit of glare. The food is just ok. The muffins are advertised as being homemade, but really the blueberry muffin seemed kind of dry and crumbly to me. I got scrambled eggs and home fries and the eggs were a little on the wet side, but they were alright. The strawberry waffle had a cinnamon taste to it that I think was part of the batter. Everything was ok, but nothing that I would go out of my way for. The atmosphere combined with the just ok food makes me more likely to go to another breakfast place in the future.

We are breakfast lovers and decided to try this place out because of the awesome Unilocal reviews! Unilocal didn’t fail us! This place is great! Our server was very friendly and our food came out pretty quick! I must say the Guadalajara skillet is a MUSTTRY ! It was very tasty! We also had the loaded waffles and chilaquiles, both were delicious! Their salsa has a bit of a kick, sooo good! And who doesn’t love freshly squeezed OJ!!! If you’re in Palmdale, give this place a try! We will definitely be back again… and again!

I stopped by this little café because of the stellar Unilocal reviews. Im glad i did! Its located in a large strip mall with Wal Mart and Souplantation nearby. We went around 830am on a Saturday morning and they were relatively busy but there was no wait. Also, theres a huge parking lot. I ordered the Guadalajara skillet with a sunny side uo egg. My egg was slightly overdone but still good. The skillet had tons of chorizo and was very flavorful. It was a HUGE portion. I like that they have fresh salsa for your food since a lot of the menu items are themed«South of the Border.» My boyfriend got the steak and eggs with hash. The hash is crispy — just the way I like it. The steak was juicy and but the seasoning wasnt my taste. My boyfriend liked it though. Also — get the honey oat bran muffin. Its delicious! They warm it up for you too. Service is really great too! Everyone is super attentive and friendly. We literally put one foot through the door and the busboy already had menus in hand a table ready for us. Woot!
