Rachels Consignment Gallery

This store, like most consignment stores, is fine for the buyers. But, as a consignor, this one, in my opinion, fits the mold of not living up to its obligations to its consignors. Despite multiple attempts to get payment on an item that had sold (I naively at first believed that they would send me the payment when it was to be paid per the contract), I eventually had to go in person twice (the first time I was told that the computers were broken and they couldn’t pay me) and then the second time stood there in front of buyers and had to make a fuss of requesting to be paid. It is a mystery why this store’s owner put me in the position of having to go into the store personally to get payment – had I not gone it is quite clear I would not have been paid.
Beyond my particular experience, it would behoove this owner to treat consignors fairly and create a positive experience and community «buzz» for the store. Instead, incredibly and sadly, it appears that that kind of positive business model doesn’t exist for Rachel’s Consignment.

They run a dishonest business. I had several items that were consigned to them. They advised me that they would sell these items at certain prices. They either didn’t, or misreported the prices these items were actually sold at. They paid me over 50% less then what they claimed I would receive from the sales of the cosigned items.
Further, when I attempted to collect money from them, it was like pulling teeth, and took extraordinary effort, including multiple phone calls. Shame on them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GALLERY.
