Very yummyful Vietnamese food. Good find if you’re in town or a local. I love the large photos of the dishes posted around the restaurant. They really get your mouth watering!

The menu selection wasn’t huge, but what we ordered was very tasty and the service was quick. #55) Deep fried tofu: crunchy, nice and light, great dipping sauce. #1) Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls: standard good fare, peanut dipping sauce was a little bland though #2) Fresh Pork Spring Rolls: meh… #5) Crispy Eggrolls: very crunchy, yummy #46) Shrimp, Pork, Egg Roll Noodle: yummy

Great food and good prices. Not the place to go if you are looking for an intimate setting but for a casual or easy meal — this place is great! Very quick and friendly service. The phở broth has a great flavor — I always order the small and its huge! They also have an abundance of appetizer and entrée items.

I ate here recently and was not impressed. The person who created us didn’t great us at all. They simply slid the menus to us and walked away. The guy who seemed to be the head server or manager was really cold and has no customer service skills at all. No smile, no «enjoy your meal», etc. the second guy who came to our table was slightly more hospitable. The 3rd man who came to our table gave an effort to be hospitable but he didn’t speak English well. I appreciate his effort though although he was dressed like a a painter or maintenance man. We noticed that they were sort of cold to the other customers also. The pork we were served was either over cooked or was old. It seemed like leftovers from the day or two before. This is the first time I’ve eaten Vietnamese food that I didn’t like. The noodles were fine though.

Came here on Memorial Day with my party of around 14 – 16 people. I ordered the Thai tea and the tea tasted so watered down and the boba tasted old. The phở was average tasting nothing too spectacular. Service is whatever, the guy seemed bothered whenever someone asked for something. Prices are kinda pricey but that’s Palm Springs for you. I’ve been to places in Orange County and San Gabriel that have decently priced food and better tasting food but since its Palm Springs I guess this place would be a good replacement.

First, I stand there for 5 minutes with a staff member walking past me without saying a word. Then when I finally acknowledge I’m told they will be right with me. So I stand there another few minutes. A party of three come in and amazingly they are sitted within minutes of arriving. And I left there standing, expected to wait again. I left. I have never experienced such an incredible display of disrespect, rudeness and total disregard for my feelings at restaurant. I will NEVER walking into your restaurant again. This happened today. I had to pick one star(not deserved at all) to post a review.

PHOVU is on my «MUSTEATHERE» list every time Im in town. I love the crispy Egg Rolls and The Phở is typically loaded with noodles and broth plus whatever meat you choose, Phở is a funny thing, its bland until you doctor it up to your liking . Everything else here is clean and decent and tasty, except the menu is slightly deceptive . I love fried TOFU, the photo shows Golden Tofu deep fried with onions and garlic. ummmmm What you get are chunks of bland white Tofu. Its the same with some of the other things on the menu. You can ask the waiter ahead of time, but something from the blank look i get tells me they havent a clue what I just asked… never the less I like it here.

I’m sorry to give this place one star because the staff were nice, but the food here was terrible. As someone who loves phở, this is the worst I’ve had. The veg phở was far from fresh, with over-cooked veggies in a bland soup. The chicken phở comes in a beef broth, so if you don’t eat red meat, forget the phở. The both is also made with refined sugar for reasons surpassing understanding(we asked). The coconut water is also not fresh and comes from a carton(also full of refined sugar). The restaurant itself is not very welcoming, the décor is sparse and the seating made me feel like I was eating at a McDonalds. A definite«never again» from me.

An update… we’re local and the past few times we’ve been to this location, things have been subpar. When we ordered, food came out very quickly, almost too quickly. Food was mostly cold, lacking veggies. Tasted like it was sitting around. Very marginal. Now the veggie phở appears to just be boiling water over veggies, instead of veggie broth, no flavor unless you pile on the siracha and other sauces. Veggies barely chopped – large pieces that are impossible to eat. Fast and good service continues, and pleasant people, but the food has gone downhill. Not sure what is going on at this location. I trust the managers will get it back on track, but needs attention.

Ambience. B Service. A Food. A Price. A Very authentic if they make their own special bone light broth and serve tripe and tendon! Yea! Found on Palm canyon main drag. Lots of street parking nearby. Lights are partial on(I guess, it would be way too bright with every lantern on/or just too lazy to change out bulbs.) giving really soft lighting and clean modern atmosphere. Service is friendly letting you choose your table. Ordered the small phở and customized my meats too only include rare steak(cooked in hot broth), tripe and tendon. Light broth is delicious on own. You can add lemon, jalapeño, and Thai basil to produce great flavors. Full of tender rice noodles and plenty of meat for such a small bowl! I’m a fan for very authentic! I will be back.

My coworker is an avid phở eater. While in Palm Springs, we wanted to try a place we hadn’t been to. Looked up reviews and decided on this location. It’s right on a busy downtown street with lots of windows. I was not fond of the food at all. I ordered spring rolls with some type of spam-like shrimp. Yuck! The veggie phở was not great. It was very watery. I couldn’t even finish my small bowl. My coworker said the beef in hers was fatty as well. She also didn’t like the chicken wings because they were dry and flavorless. Such a disappointment.

Still excellent after a year. I had the beef phở with meatballs and brisket. Tons of meat. The broth could be a little more flavorful but very good. Excellent value.

Loved everything about this place; the location is simple, the staff I’d love to be friends with, and the food was so good, we took everything home that we couldn’t finish. We literally ate until we couldn’t eat another noodle. The ambiance is clean, mild noise with great music, and our table didn’t wobble(very important for me). Our waitress had a personality and she checked on us at perfect intervals; not too many times but just enough to fill our waters. The food was delicious. We ordered the spring roll appetizers which you should definitely get every time you go. They are a must eat. Our entrees were huge and that’s saying a lot because I eat like a man. Fresh, hot, perfect, we will be back. Four of us ate for just under $ 90 and this included one shared appetizer, four entrees and two drinks. Too expensive to eat here weekly, but once a month is on our agenda. *Veg daughter loved her noodle veg bowl and spring roll

Pretty good for being the only Vietnamese restaurant around in the area. When my friend and I came in and ordered our bowl of phở, the waiter guy instantly knew we were Vietnamese and asked us if we wanted the white onion in vinegar and oil sauce. He even bought out the super spicy chili sauce from the back. I instantly felt right at home. I moved here to the desert about 6 months ago and I can’t believe that I didn’t come to eat here sooner. Probably because I thought it was ridiculous for a $ 10 bowl of phở, but then again. everything in this area is a bit more pricier than LA. After discovering how authentic it is. I’ve been back here three times. I highly recommend this place!

Having lived in LA for so many years, finding good Viet food is not hard. In the desert, however, it is a a little different. I’d seen the ads for this place, but never had the desire to try it out. Then, I made a new friend. He asked me to meet him there for dinner. I’m glad I went. The phở has a good flavor. It isn’t as clear as it is supposed to be, but it still had a nice flavor to it. They aren’t skimpy on the meat, either. The rice noodle bowls are nice, bigger than some other places. The goi cuon are good, but need a little bit more fresh mint/herbs in them. Had the banh xeo and I liked it. Service is always good here. The young lady who serves as cashier is always pleasant. There was one time when my friend had paid the bill and then forgot. He was about to pay it again, when she told him that he had already paid. In many places, the restaurant would have gone ahead and let him pay a 2nd time, but she was honest. I and he very much appreciated that. Like my favorite place in Gardena, they have videos of a hidden video comedy show playing on the TVs inside. The decoration inside is kinda nice. I really like area behind the cashier. Above the door there is a nice motif happening. I worry about cleanliness, just a little, but not enough to keep me out of here.

Service was good. drink refills were ;fast, phở was ok, the spring rolls, were obviously refrigerated too long and the rice paper was tough, 4 people to eat with coffee was about 75 bucks… for palms springs area the price are probably ok, the place was clean and on the strip so you can people watch… The only thing besides the spring rolls, I was handed a fork instead of chop sticks, i dont know why this always bothers me, but in any other phở spot, they assume you use chopsticks, i would say hand out both for good measure. I look like a amateur with a fork :)

Spotlessly Clean dining room and attentive staff made a great first impression. Beverages include coconut juice and both domestic and import beer. Phở with shrimp was tasty and very satisfying. Egg roll you can wrap in lettuce leaves and pour Vietnamese vinaigrette over was unique and delicious. Nice light but filling meal. Scott was helpful and answered several questions about language and culture. You most certainly will enjoy a far eastern dining experience.

* Price: reasonable for the area. $ 10 per bowl. 4 star. * Ambiance: clean and open. No outdoor seating. It looks like the restaurant took over some previous souvenir shop. There is some strange residual décor. 3 star. * Location: on the main strip of PS. Easy to find. Street parking or walking distance from most hotels. 4 star. * Meals: traditional Vietnamese dishes. Small menu. Phở has good broth and meat. 3 star. * Servicea: fast and pleasantm 3+ star. This is averaged to about 3+ star. We checked out this place since it is recently opened in main strip of PS and within walking distance from Hyatt where we were staying. The place is clean. Staff is pleasant. The menu is traditional with popular Vietnamese dishes like rolls, photo, vermicelli noodles with grilled porka, egg rolls and chickens, sandwich(bang mi), and so on. Drink menu is also typical with Vietnamese coffee, coconut drinks, etc. We had phở and bun bo hue(spicy beef soup). Everything is pretty good and fresh. Overall, if you are craving for Vietnamese food, this place is certainly fulfilling. However, if you are looking for a dining experience, you might be disappointed.

Had the vegetarian phở with the veggie broth and it was pretty average. A bit bland but I guess you can’t replicate the authentic phở broth flavors with veggies. I did like the mix of veggies, which included bok choy, carrots, straw mushrooms, perfectly blanched broccoli(I typically dislike broccoli but I ended up eating all of it) and fried tofu! I liked that there was a vegetarian section in their menu too. If you’re a vegetarian, make sure you specify that you want veggie broth because the server suggested it with beef broth.
