Kept my file for over one month, DOESN’T ANSWER QUESTIONS IN EMAILS I SEND. He became the opposing attorney’s «bitch», and cow-​tows to their agenda. Wasted my time. They don’t do anything. Maybe that’s a good thing! THEY’RE FIRED!

This guy will take your money and not refund it if you catch him making a mistake and need to file elsewhere. I was going to file bankruptcy for tax issues and the guy didn’t even tell me that tax issues would not fall off my house even if I filed bankruptcy. Then, he sold me a credit repair class when I didn’t file. He wouldn’t give me my money back and didn’t tell me up front that I didn’t qualify for a bankruptcy. Report this guy if you have had similar problems because he should be disbarred. Didn’t know he has only been an attorney since 2005 and went to schools for profit which are a joke like his work. THERE are similar complaints like mine. You can find him at the local casino or local watering hole in the middle of the afternoon spending your money instead of working on your case or studying law which he really needs to do.

I hired Kevin for my BK and Divorce 4 yrs ago. The BK he took care of — My divorce on the other hand I just found out was not finalized. He thinks I paid him to only do the custody part. Um… No Kevin. Didn’t know you could even consider them 2 different things. The divorce just needed a signature apparently. I have been emailing his staff only to be asked for the same things 3 weeks later that I already took care of. Saying they didn’t get my emails. Now this has opened a huge can of worms with my ex and she wants to now take the opportunity to come get me for more and start a whole new war — This is so frustrating. When he got my ex wife’s attorney letter and saw her «new» demands he bows out with a chicken way out letter at 5pm on Friday saying this is bigger than him and he doesn’t do family law anymore. Find another attorney. I paid you Kevin to do a job you didn’t do, that now could cost me a ton more I DON’T HAVE. I asked you to reply to her attorney to let her know lets go to the mediator in court. I don’t agree to any of her terms. I would rather the court step up for this wrongfulness. DO NOT USE KEVIN! Since he is now not responding I am going to go to the BAR on him and make a formal complaint and I am also writing the BBB. I am extremely upset he is leaving me hanging with unfinished work. I had to mail my response of my not agreeing to her attorney myself. Don’t let this happen to you. Funny thing is we had a great talk when I thought it was all done. Shook my hand and told me I’m a free man in 6 months. That was 4 yrs ago and I’m not free am I Kevin… Thought he was a good guy. He is not a thorough guy. Don’t be left with a nightmare years later because he didn’t dot his I’s and cross his T’s. Worst experience ever…

Kevin and his staff are top notch. I’m a divorced dad and the $$ got out of control for me. Between the child support and the legal fees, I fell way behind. The Law offices of Kevin Cortright were recommended to me by a friend and I was thrilled. I mean, the BK I had to file sucked, no one wants to do it. But Kevin and his staff made it so easy and I was happy with the outcome. I don’t plan on doing it again, but I will use Kevin for my future legal issues. The price was fair also and they worked with me to get it to where I could afford the services.

Kevin has served my staff and I very well over the few years we’ve known him he is actively engaged and cares about the well being of his clients. Without going into too much detail I can tell you that Kevin works diligently to get his clients the health care attention they may need as well as the financial help they will need going forward. We feel good working with an ethical attorney like Mr. Cortright.

The worst attorney I have ever dealt wit. Bottom line, he took my money (over 4000 $) for a five year Chapter 13. I had it dismiss after 18 months. He refuses to refund the remaining funds. I am in process of filing a complaint with the California State Bar Association. I sent him an email to give him a final opportunity to refund. He has ignored it.
Please, please, do not engage this attorney.
