I never wanted to come home! The C. Farrell Compound is so dreamy, the world just fell away once I set foot on it. The giant kitchen was the perfect setting for our group to cook big, family style meals together, which we ate at the long patio table outside. I swam for 10 hours in one day because the pool was so heavenly. We made cocktails with the grapefruits in the citrus grove – they were still warm from the sun. I slept in one of the rooms off the casita and slept like a rock every night. It is somehow homey and luxe at the same time. I felt like a movie star. Can’t wait to go back.

A gorgeous house with all the amenities. We went with a large group had a great time cooking together, swimming and doing yoga on the large yawn. The property is large enough to have plenty of privacy too. Plus, it’s just a quick trip into town to great restaurants and bars.

We stayed at the C. Farrell compound. What can I say? It is simply a stunning place. The owners have done well to keep the original charm, but have added a host of modern amenities to make for a seamless weekend. There are three separate homes on the property that allowed our large party to enjoy an amazing amount of privacy. This compound would also be great as a small wedding venue!

I rented the Gabor Retreat to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and we had a blast! The house has an amazing space with comfortable and beautiful furniture. It is meticulously maintained with a well equipped kitchen.
The sunrise view is breath taking. The house is private and quiet. We had so much fun making s’mores, swimming during the night and relaxing at the jacuzzi. This house is gem.

My girlfriends and I just spent the weekend of a lifetime at the Lucy House. It was amazing. So nice to be able to get up and wander to the kitchen in our pajamas versus calling one another in hotel rooms, getting dressed, and then wandering to the lobby to forage for a meal. The house is beautiful and so special to be in a place with so much history. The view is gorgeous and rimmed with palm trees so sitting out at sundown is spectacular.
We spent countless hours relaxing by the pool, listening to music and going through old photos on the fabulous outdoor dining table. There’s one inside too, if you’d rather! The house is in a great location and the Iconic staff was great with every email, question or need.
This is a very special place and we were all very sad to leave.
This is the way to go, I can’t recommend it enough!

I just attended a three day wedding celebration in Palm Springs under the direction of the new & first ever event specialist at the Iconic Palm Springs Vacation Rentals, Vicki Lucia. She did a fantastic job putting it all together. The whole three day event with such colorful creativity, from the pre-​party the night before at the «I Love Lucy» house which was needless to say «Iconic»! The night of the wedding was set at the former home of Charles Farrell, a movie star and former mayor of Palm Springs. She came up with the fabulous idea of having his old movies playing on a outside wall of the house. The placement of the dance floor, lighting & décor was nothing short of elegant! The Chef served up an unbelievable assortment of scrumptious food. Her vision for a perfect Palm Springs event was so much fun! All of my friends who attended the event are saying it was the most extraordinary wedding reception any of us have ever attended! I Loved it!

We wanted a magical wedding reception and dinner, and we got a MAGICAL once-​in-​a-​lifetime experience. Everything was perfect: The Old Hollywood ambiance at the magnificent Charles Farrell Compound, how the party seamlessly flowed from the private front yard reception to the backyard dinner and dance, a delicious buffet and pool-​side dancing under majestic palm trees to a live band. Vicki Lucia, the event specialist for Iconic Palm Springs Vacation Rentals, provided the vision and nailed the details, from the white orchid centerpieces to the sound and dramatic lighting. Vicki and her vendors helped create a memorable evening for the bride and groom and nearly 200 guests. This signature event followed a delightful pool party at the former desert home of Lucy and Desi the previous night, for a smaller group of friends attending the wedding. All organized by Mrs. Lucia.

The C. Farrell estate was absolutely magical for our son’s wedding… Vicki, the events coordinator for the property has an endless number of fabulous suggestions and the vendors that can make them a reality! The lighting, linens, flowers, layout… all perfect!
It is a beautiful home and a Bride and Grooms dream venue… Thanks Vicki and Iconic!

Just attended a wedding affair to remember in The Farrell House and at Lucy’s House in Palm Springs. The event coordinator, Vicki Lucia, created the most memorable wedding event of my life. So professional and fun! Every detail was honed to perfection, from the delicious and savory cuisine by Chef Drew, to the exquisite table settings, not to mention the three bars! We felt like Palm Springs royalty as we dined and danced under the stars with misters to cool the air and the band «Rockola» to keep our feet movin’ and groovin’!

Based on the outstanding reviews of Iconic that we read. My wife and I decided to spend our 24^th anniversary at the Gabor Retreat. Before we booked our stay, I was captivated by the fantastic photos of the house… honestly, they could not serve the property justice when we saw it in person!
From the point we exited Palm Canyon Dr. onto the Private drive leading into the hills… It felt like we stepped back into Palm Springs history.
Both the Main and guest houses were expertly decorated … every detail was attended to from the linens to the artwork to the grounds it was well appointed and very comfortable. We completely relaxed as if we were in our own home.
It is a mountain side home and very secluded surrounded by mature landscaping. We spent countless hours lounging in the pool. With all the many sitting areas around the property … we found ourselves talking the hours away on the massive flagstone stairway with our morning coffee and while enjoying afternoon cocktails.
The folks at Iconic met our every need and made us feel right at home!
In the past few years we have booked vacation homes in Manhattan, NY, Telluride, CO, Napa Valley, Las Vegas… By far, the Gabor Retreat exceeded all of our expectations! Thank you for the hospitality and great times!

When I think of a Palm Springs vacation, this is what I imagine… like stepping back in time to a luxurious life of lounging and good times with the likes of Marilyn Monroe. The compound has 3 separate houses, each with the most wonderful architectural details. Gorgeous, with many original elements that made the homes feel authentic but with all the modern updates needed.
A few of my favorite things about the Charles Farrell Estate:
–Light fixtures in every house. The sconces were definitely original, the main house chandelier is amahzing!
–The ice machine by the wet bar in the main house. The owners definitely put some thought into how this place would be used by guests. No need to do an ice run! There’s a mini-​fridge sized machine making ice for you all the time.
–The backyard and pool area. It’s expansive, with lush grass and citrus trees. A total oasis. No matter how many people are with you, you could find a quiet spot on the grass to relax.
–The basketweave tile throughout the bathrooms. One of the modern updates but works perfectly with the original designs. Every time you walk into a tiled room you feel a little ritzy :)
This place is perfect for a large group of people. Two of the houses have kitchens, there are plenty of beds, parking and the pool is party-​sized! I’d love to see it decorated for a wedding and you could easily get a caterer in the large main house kitchen.
Truly the perfect Palm Springs vacation spot! I can’t wait to go again.

As a frequent vacation renter in Palm Springs, I can say this place is amazing! The compound is spacious, beautiful and well-​appointed. It’s like staying at the best 5 star hotel, but you and your loved ones have it all to yourselves! The beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom has it’s own bathroom, which was amazing. Every detail in the house, from the furnishings to the desert sage soaps in the bathrooms was Palm Springs perfection. Those appreciative of Palms Springs Hollywood history will love the location– The movie colony– and the house’s pedigree. Great for families, girls weekends, weddings, couples’ retreat.

Iconic Palms Springs Vacation Rentals… i almost dont want to say how great it is b/​c now you will know the secret and i might not be able to stay here again from the crowds… it is a hidden gem!
first and foremost the images of Farrell Compound are fantastic in capturing how stunning the property is but even with that, it is truly a slice of the nostalgia, beauty and intimacy that no other rental can even rival. knowing Farrell, i salivate knowing what the other properties are like!
Farrell Compound is a place to bring those you love, those who would appreciate the meticulous grounds, beautiful décor, state-​of-​the-​art kitchen, best of the best in every way b/​c this IS THE BEST– you can feel it when you walk around. this is a special place where you can relax with history and beauty but be yourself. you have never felt more at home-​but more luxurious in a space, every detail is accounted for and the staff of Iconic Palms Springs makes sure that you feel like Bogart or Monroe.
if you are in Palm Springs, this is the epitome of what Palms Spring was, is and will continue to be– you can thank me later b/​c i will bet my last dollar that you will love this place! let me just say that i will be booking every house with Iconic PSR!

I stayed at the iconic Charles Farrell estate! Incredible! Breathtaking property set in an amazing location. You have everything you need and you’ll never want to leave! I’ve stayed many places on my numerous visits to Palm Springs, but this spot was BY FAR my favorite!
I can’t wait to check out some of IPSVR’s other rentals. If they are half as good as the Charles Farrell estate, I’ll be happy!

Stayed at the beautiful Charles Farrell Estate aka «the compound» and didn’t want to ever go home. This 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom, 2 kitchen estate was the perfect home away from home. Ideal for a large group of people or even a small intimate wedding, the house has a beautiful back yard with lemon trees and palm trees surrounding the beautiful hot tube and pool. The house has everything you need yet the backyard is so inviting that you’ll want to spend as much time lounging by the pool and hot tube. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m definitely going to try to go back.

this (the charles farrell estate) was the most beautiful and well equipped vacation house i have EVER stayed in, and i have stayed in quite a few. the grounds were perfectly manicured, the house well decorated, the appliances were stellar (hello kitchen aid), the sheets were the softest, the towels fluffy, huge spacious kitchen that any chef would be SO happy to cook in, the pool was BEAUTIFUL, EVERY DETAIL WAS COMPLETELY TOP OF THE LINE!!! there was absolutely nothing else we could have wanted during our weekend. the compound has three houses-​perfect for a large group but still TONS of privacy. i seriously can’t say enough positive things about this house and our experience there. pure luxury but it didn’t feel pretentious-​just perfect!

just had one of the most amazing experiences in palm springs i have ever had and i have been going my entire life. we stayed at the charles farrell estate and never left the «compound» the entire weekend. you have everything you need right there. upon arriving i notice how well landscaped the grounds were. the pictures on the site do not do this place justice. the 3 separate living space and the 2 casitas were perfect for our group giving us privacy and then being able to meet in the beautiful center yard and relax by the pool and take a long jacuzzi.
each room had towels, comfy beds & ac. the 2 kitchens were well equipped & top of the line everything. there is even a private rose garden off of one of the bedrooms. on top of all that… the history of the place is so cool. to think that we were lounging at the same pool as humphrey bogart & marilyn monroe was pretty cool. i never wanted to leave.
oh and if you are looking for the perfect wedding venue this is it. i will be suggesting it to many of my clients.
i will defiantly try and get back here soon or really want to try another one of their locations.

This place this AMAZING and the pictures do not lie!!! Everything is right there. The house and the grounds are well maintained. It is wells restored, tastefully done and top notch. It’s private and secluded.
The pool, the jacuzzi, the large expansive yard, the soft bed linens, the fluffy towels, the well equipped kitchens… yes, there are 2 of them!!! BTW, there are grapefruit and orange trees on the grounds so you have your own fresh juice whenever the mood strikes you. Mimosa anyone?
It was all great and I didn’t want to leave.
