California Nursing & Rehabilitatin Ctr of Plm Spgs

I’ve been helping a four month patient, who is a personal friend. They have stolen her clothes, her glasses, her blanket from home. She was not showered for eleven days soaked in urine with bed sores. Staff signed off she was showered when she wasn’t. They drugged her with Xantax so she couldn’t wake up for three days missing the physical therapy she needs. She was told a «heart doctor» who never saw her ordered it. They continue to bring her food restricted by a dietician and a doctor necessitating friends to bring in outside food. She has no other nursing care options on her health insurance. She was told by a nurse her retirement check would be taken and she would lose all her insurance if she tries to leave AMA. There is no medical doctor on site, or any of the several nursing homes he manages, from an office in town. The medical procedures ordered by outside specialists are not adhered to by the facility. This is a growing concern for all patients and the state needs better control. This chain of facilities is being reported and needs to be closed down.

The facility is cleaner than other similar nursing homes. The food is mediocre at best.

This place is clean but still a far cry from good service. Its hard to watch these elderly people cry for help, ask for their loved ones, not remember you… its sad. I enjoy going to help them. The CNA’s work the hardest. They have many patients to get to for a minamal wage. I hope I dont end up in one of these homes.
