Came here as part of a birthday dinner since it was one of the few places that could accommodate such a large group at the last minute. Food was just typical sit-down mexican, margaritas were strong-ish, and the chips and guac were plentiful. Nothing too special or out of the ordinary.

My girlfriend is vegan and although they didn’t have many(read:one) option for her, they made it count! The tostada comes in a bright red chipotle taco shell, and she was offered veggies when she asked for no meat. Sometimes«veggies» means nothing more than extra pico– at blue coyote, it meant steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, and carrots along with the standard black beans and guac that comes with the bowl. I got the fiesta chicken quesadilla which is listed as an appetizer and was a full meal for me. The chicken was stuffed generously into the cilantro tortilla w tons of cheese. The shredded chicken was in some red sauce and was juicy and very delicious. Top it off with the excellent table salsa and chips and 2 great margaritas and I can’t recommend Blue Coyote enough! The waitstaff was great too– from the busboy cracking jokes to the attentive waitress. Thanks for the great experience to kick off my 30th bday week!

We celebrated my son’s graduation at Blue Coyote Grill this past Tuesday. I made the reservation well in advance and every time I called to confirm or had a question, the staff was always very pleasant and courteous! We reserved the Casita for a party of ten. When the evening arrived, my guests were quite early but there was absolutely no problem and they were accommodated until my whole party arrived. We ended up having the room to ourselves and everything from the food, staff and beverages were awesome!!! The manager checked in to make sure everything was to our liking and was very gracious to everyone as well! I highly recommend this restaurant either for an intimate dinner for two or a larger gathering… big or small, the Blue Coyote provides the perfect atmosphere for your needs! A big THANKYOU to all the staff, waiters and manager for making our evening celebration extra special!!!

After walking down the Palm Springs strip and seeing this small place my group and I decided to go in. Our frozen margaritas arrived to the table shortly after not frozen at all and on the rocks. What made us go into the establishment was the amount of shade, umbrellas and misters. As it turns out the misters were not strategically placed and didn’t even reach consumers, table mats were sticky and food was alright. I thought we would leave and move on with our vacation, but oh boy does that blue coyote food linger with you as most in my group of 4 didn’t feel too well later that day and skipped dinner. Safe to say I will not be returning to this establishment.

We had the seafood salad. shrimp, Mahi Mahi, scallops with grilled pineapple and jicima. Very good. My husband had ranchers eggs with a side of carne asada. Both were good. I gave it a 3 star b3cause we had to wait so long to get in because they were not open at least 11 like they advertise. Service was good.

The wife and I stopped in here on the way home from Arizona. The chips and salsa always tell me how good the food will be. And they were great. So was the food.

Really? Tortilla soup taste like a mixture of Salt, Ragu pasta sauce. And ketchup. Server is way over loaded with too large of a section. He is unable to engage properly– things get forgotten. Requested for extra salsa — twice. Never came. Seems slightly agitated. Busboys. Seem to not really do much. They walk around speaking Spanish. Talking trash about the customers(white people speak Spanish too)

Not one to write bad reviews but while on vacation my experience here was horrible. Service was bad right from the beginning, waiter looked irritated and rushed to get out. The person who seemed to be the owner wasn’t any better, just overall rude! There was a bug in one of our drinks, commented about it. He ignored the fact we said«there’s a bug in drink» still charged us for it. Saw a ant on table, But ceviche was good, about the only thing good about this restaurant.

AMAZING Mexican food, service and drinks!!! This is some of the best service and delicious food. Crispy warm chips, perfect consistency of beans and our server was on top of it along with the rest of the staff. Come here if you’re ready for some dank Mexican food.

Good food — friendly service — reasonably priced. Blended margarita — right the way I like it! :)

We selected this restaurant because of their cool outdoor space. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. I order the Santa Fe Enchiladas. Sauce tasted like a weird mix of catsup and watered down salsa. It wasn’t good and it was $ 16.50. My company ordered 2 tacos, which were better but not great and $ 17. WAY to expensive for the quality. Service was average. Won’t go again.

The food was fine, nothing fancy, but the friendly bartender and«wild one» margarita’s make this place a 4 star experience. A stranger on our flight in from SFO recommended the place and I’m so glad he did. Thank you, stranger! I can’t remember the bartender’s name, a retired guy from Chicago, really made us feel like this was our neighborhood bar. We came on a Monday evening so the place wasn’t too packed. The bathrooms are clean and everyone was very nice. We will be back if we ever make it out to PS again.

Limited menu for those with food allergies/sensitivities/ethical-eating issues. Vegans note that the guacamole has dairy, as stated by waiter. I was able to order a side of black beans and salsa. Nice outdoor space, or eat inside. Restrooms are a bit awkward, if you need the handicap restroom, you then have to leave that room and enter the other stall to wash hands. Just an overall okay place.

Good food, nice atmosphere only thing I would like is more selection of drinks, the steak was very tender and the black beans were awesome. Plus props for using black beans.

We came here after a day of hiking. The patio provides a great vantage point for the evening street fair, and makes the visit worthwhile. Some quick observations on the food and drink. * Frozen margaritas were pretty small for the price you pay. I believe they used to give an option for the larger size, which would be a welcome addition to the menu. * the new Enchiladas Santa Fe has chipped chicken inside which was dry — either overlooked, or sitting under the heat lamp too long. I wouldn’t order it again — the other enchiladas were much better. * the Pollo Cilantro was amazing, according to my dining partner Great outdoor patio to do some people-watching, and food is about a 75⁄100.

After hiking we were extremely hungry. One of our friends had been here and stated they made amazing margaritas.(Um…sold!) The service was excellent as was the food. I landed on their beef chimichanga. The meat had an excellent flavor and it tasted like there was a bit of cinnamon infused into the shredded goodness. The meal was huge and I ended up eating only half of it and took the rest home. The pitcher of Cadillac margaritas was awesome and i’d be nervous to have them on a hot day due to not being able to stop drinking. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but there is parking in the back, you just have to look for the signs. Great value for the money.

Fresh and quality food with excellent customer service is what you are going to find when you go to Blue Coyote Grill. Customer Service: Our waiter, Don, was friendly, attentive, and funny. He has been working at that restaurant for 22 years… Quality of food: the food is excellent and the flavor is one of a kind. Again, food is fresh fresh and fresh! Presentation: meals are very well presented and it was appealing to my mouth, nose and eyes. Ambiance: very relaxed and friendly. Dogs are allowed.

I’m guilty of judging a book by its cover. I thought this would be a cheeky knock off kind of Mexican restaurant. You know the kind that use canned tomato based salsas and prepackaged cheese? They seated and served us quickly. We had the seafood salad, Tampico(enchilada and bisteak), and my son had Mac and cheese. The sweet mango dressing was great with the seafood and the fish was grilled perfectly. The Mac and cheese is like Velveeta style, and the enchilada was fairly typical. This awesome musician came over with his guitar and sang a song he wrote for my little boy. He was totally funny. Made it a great night.

Have gone here twice. Sat in the bar area the second time. The bartender was very friendly and suggested a margarita that was super strong(love!), the crispy chicken tacos were some of the BEST I’ve ever had. Yum. Chips and salsa were ok. I would definitely come back for the margaritas and chicken tacos. Word of warning though: My husband and I sat in the bar area where there was a super drunk lady(I believe her name was Lisa) and she cut off the bartender by screaming his name across the bar while he was getting our order, then was walking around the bar hugging and touching other peoples husbands. Super inappropriate. She said a few drunk half sentences to me(almost as if to start something with me). The managers did NOTHING about this, and should have cut her off and told her to leave. If she was there again I would walk right back out of the door and spend my $ 100 elsewhere. Super annoying. And one more note, the hostess had a really bad attitude. She needs to learn to not treat people with disrespect.

First day in Palm Springs I stopped by here with a friend based on a recommendation. The food was proportionate and fresh, but what I really wanted in on was the margaritas that this place is famous for! I’ve heard rumors that they are usually limited to two per person but we were happy that the bartender obliged in getting us a pitcher of the strongest margarita I’ve ever had in my life. I was impressed with myself that I made it off the barstool and back onto the main road without any problems. In the end, two lunches and a pitcher came out to $ 90 with tip. Well worth the buzz that lasted all day long. What can I say, I’m a bit of a lightweight which makes me a cheaper date ;)
