This is definitely an unassuming place as we have passed it by many times. Outside of the cute server, I wouldn’t see a reason to return. The place is a seat yourself and while cutie pie was attentive enough to meet our drink needs, he forgot to offer us menus until we asked for them. No biggie though. They have your standard breakfast fare and they do a competent job with the food itself. My issue was more with the bill. I had a simple Swiss, mushroom and avocado omelet with a side of bacon and it was $ 12.50. Prices like that would be fine for Lulu’s or even John’s, but this place is way too«hole in the wall» for that type of price. I expect to pay for atmosphere… But this place is in dire need of a facelift. I wish them well as I love to support family run establishments, but unless cutie pie wants to go out with me some time to a decent restaurant, I think we shall have to part ways.

Found this place by accident, saw it and there was something about it so we stopped and gave it a try! Definitely a great place to eat! AMAZING service, hash browns are crispy and good, the house omelet is really good, the chorizo is made in house and taste great and the pancakes are the best! Great coffee too! Definitely coming back for more when I’m back!

Friendly little diner. Kept waiting for Flo to come out and say, «kiss my grits!». Service is excellent and fast. My water glass was refilled constantly, which was good because I was thirsty in the desert heat. I got grits, eggs and biscuit. All were OK, but I could make them better, and I don’t profess to be a chef/cook. Hubby had a pancake, hash browns, eggs and English muffin. Again, he thought he could make them better, and believe me, he ain’t no cook either. So if you’re hungry and hot like we were, and need friendly fast service, this is your place.

This reminded me of a diner the likes of which I’d find back home in Connecticut. It’s inexpensive, the portions are hearty, and the food is nearly greasy, but just grease-deficient enough to be what one would call«pretty good.» I opted for the single egg, hash browns and biscuit combo each day I dined here: it filled me up sufficiently, and my only complaint is that the biscuit wasn’t as dense as they traditionally are. Besides that everything was great! Over the course of the entire weekend I spent in Palm Springs we didn’t have to wait to get a table here even once and our group size was never less than 5 so that’s a huge plus to dining here. If you want a filling morning meal in the desert I suggest checking this place out.

I’ve lived in PS for 8 years and finally decided to try this hole in the wall. There was a reason I never stopped before. Way too expensive, bland food and gossipy waiters/waitresses. Food was bland and small portions for the $ 9 – 10 per plate. Go to Lulu’s and pay less for a better experience and better breakfast.

The server was super nice and helpful but the food is not so good. Don’t get the biscuits and gravy, that was a huge disappointment. Everything else was just ok, nothing special.

Fast, attentive service. According to my husband«best strawberry crêpe ever». Their pancakes were standard diner deliciousness. Veggie egg white omelette was good, full of veggies. However, the coffee was probably the worst I’ve ever had.

I guess breakfast/brunch is the key thing to do that in Palms Springs. We didn’t know and went around looking for a good brunch spot and were told it’ll be a 2 hour wait! But we also noticed the 2 hour wait brunch places had 4+ stars on Unilocal and was very modern brunch… We weren’t exactly looking for that so we saw this place. Very traditional breakfast and wasn’t your fancy modern joint. We called and they said there was no wait. Definitely no frills breakfast. You can get a very traditional breakfast. You can ask for toast and it’ll literally be toast and nothing fancier. I got the eggs and ham breakfast with biscuits and gravy. The ham was a big chunk of good saltiness to go with your eggs. It will satisfy your breakfast craving without having to wait hours.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was a great experience! The service, food and atmosphere were great! The food was served very fast and hot. Our waitress, Marie had a smile the entire time, a very sweet lady! I will be coming back!

I hadn’t been here in a long while & thought I would try it. My daughter didn’t want to eat here but was very pleasantly surprised. She even liked their coffee. Bisquits & sausage gravy are great! Hash browns are perfect, & sausage patties are absolutely yummy. Couldn’t ask for a better breakfast. Everything is fresh & hot. The ladies serving are awesome!

3 – 4 stars. Really good little breakfast place. The pancakes were excellent. Ordered two eggs over medium which came out over easy. They provided us with our own carafe of coffee… yay! Nice outdoor seating. Nothing fancy, reminds me of east coast diner, except with palm trees.

You guys seriously best place for breakfast in the entire Coachella valley. I usually go for one of their Delicious omelettes or my personal favorite chicken fried steak with hash browns and sour dough toast. If your in the mood for i dunno the best damn breakfast of your life get your butt down here. PS whats with these complaints about stuff not being hand made? theirs 2 cooks in the back anyone can see that, and what are you expecting live chickens in the back room?

Seriously, it’s like you’ve gone to your mom’s house and all your neighborhood friends showed up to be fed, too. Home cooking always served with a smile and some light-hearted ribbing(«You girls having blueberry pancakes AGAIN?») For God’s sake do not leave without trying the blueberry pancakes. The banana pancakes are good, too, but geez those fresh blueberries… We come here every single time we’re in the PS area at least once during our stay. So often, in fact, that we bought the gift card. You spend $ 100 and they put $ 120 on the card for you!

It was just plain as plain could be, which a lot of people obviously like, but for me plain is tasteless and boring. Eggs all cooked differently even though everybody ordered over medium done were snotty and others were popped and then fried solid, on the same plate!!! Biscuits and gravy out of a can awful! Chicken fried steak awful !!! Fish and chips like out of a TV dinner! Just not for me and my family, not really tasting of anything. Even the Belgian waffles were tasteless and plain as could be! Well, we’ll cross that off the list!

I liked the food here. It’s not fancy and definitely not about being trendy. Its falls into the retro classic diner style places I went growing up. the coffee is hot and strong, the eggs good and lots of menu options. They have a great front seating area with a view and a smaller«railway diner» indoor seating space. Great«morning after» place. Love the«6 egg» option and the sausage patties were real patties.

The food is pretty good cuz I like the 6 egg omelet but it seems like they don’t want your business and the atmosphere well. I think the person who decorated the restaurant used to decorate inside paper bag

For a nice hearty breakfast in a casual diner atmosphere, this is your place. Anyplace that offers biscuits and gravy as a side can’t be all bad. The staff was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Would definitely come back.

My go-to for breakfast when I’m in Palm Springs. Nice little diner with friendly servers and home cooking. It’s like Denny’s, if Denny’s wasn’t awful.

Go for the charm, not for the food. The community spirit and instagram photo opts are what’s fun about this place. For a «cheap diner» with bad food, the price adds up fast, considering your just there to look around. If i was really hung over and not in the mood for a hipster place, i world go here again and have the lame biscuit and gravy(where’s the sausage?)

Country Style breakfast at it’s finest. I don’t mean fancy Fine, I mean real stick to your ribs Fine. I’ve been here a total of about 12 times over the years when I attend Coachella or I’m passing through the area. It’s the best food for waking up after a day of Dancing in the Desert. You get good proteins and carbs to start you next day. Add to it the best Sausage Patty outside of the South and your in heaven. Fresh Orange Juice and good coffee and your on your way to another beautiful day in the Palm Springs area. Don’t expect Fancy, just be happy with comfortable and homey and think of Grandma’s «I LOVEYOU, SWEETIE!» cooking.

I really really wanted to love this place. The look, location, old timey feel of it made it an obvious stop for myself. Interior is dated, diner like, but welcoming. Service: 4 stars definitely! Everyone was friendly, quick, and professional despite the laid back vibe of the place. The waiter also helped with recommendations when I felt unsure of what to order. Food: 1.5 stars. Never been so bored with a meal Ever! Ordered your typical breakfast of ham steak, eggs, toast etc. Everything was as bland and dry as could be. Eggs flavorless, ham steak dry and flavorless. I was sadly disappointed because I have always heard good things about this place from the locals… On top of that for 2 people for breakfast the bill came out to about $ 25 after tax. I could pay $ 5 for McDonald’s and have a better breakfast. sad to say the food just wasn’t good and with that being said this will be my last visit! Too bad…

This is a solid, little place offering up traditional fare with minimal frills. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It’s full of «regulars» too. You might not find a goat cheese frittata here, but that’s no reason to give them lower ratings. The patio is gorgeous on nice days! Dog friendly too!

Going on vacation made me realize that eating out 3x a day was overkill. It wasn’t just about the money but my stomach simply cannot store everything. I was missing my routine, my work, and my gym. Wanted something light so I went w/The Light Breakfast. Pretty pricey for a standard dish but it was delicious, nonetheless. The eggs were on the griddle for an extended amount of time, the bacon was great, and I loved the plethora of cottage cheese that I received. Service was fast and attentive.
