Palm Avenue Salon & Day Spa

This is a cute little place just around the corner from where I live. I really really wanted it to be my new go to place, but it won’t be. I’ve been here for a variety of services including manicures, facials, and leg waxing. There prices are good but they are overshadowed by the shoddy customer service.
Manicure: The nail technician had no personality. During a manicure, before she had started painting my nails, I decided to switch colors and she looked at me like that was the rudest, most inconvenient thing I could ever do.
Facial: My facial was very relaxing and my skin was glowing afterwards (They use all Dermalogica products). However, upon arriving home, I noticed I still had bits of green face mask around the edges of my face. She let me leave like that?
Leg wax: My leg wax was with the same spa therapist. I usually wax my legs myself, but I have a hard time reaching the backs of my thighs. I went in to get a ½ leg wax, just the backs of my legs. I was very impressed with how fast Claudia was. It only took 9 mins. However, there was some confusion when it was time to check out. Patty was at the desk and rang me up for a Thigh wax ($ 30) and a Lower Leg wax ($ 25). I told her that didn’t sound right, but she said «You got you calves waxed too, right?» I nodded. She said «Yea, that’s right». I wasn’t familiar enough with their menu to argue. When I got home I looked up their menu online. a Full Leg wax was $ 45 and she tried to charge me $ 55 for only the backs! Over the course of the next week I called and left 2 messages explaining what happened. Finally, the manager called me back and agreed to refund me the money. Overall, it was not a relaxing experience.

This cozy hideaway offers high-​end pampering at reasonable prices. Really great deep massages, awesome facials, spa pedicures, and a full menu of other spa services. Also hair and nail services. I’ve never been disappointed by any of the many pamperings I’ve experienced there!
