Short and sweet review!
I decided on a whim on my way home from work to stop by and get ONE key lime pie for my grandmother. I wasn’t sure if they were open so I called ahead and there was maybe 10 minutes before closing but I was definitely 15 – 20 minutes away, they stayed open for me to swing by and pick up the pie. Thank you!!! Once I saw their selection of pies, my one pie quickly turned into two! My grandmother loved the pie I bought for her when I saw her the next day. My boyfriend and I also greatly enjoyed it! It wasn’t overly tart but still had a nice little zing to it and wasn’t like just pouring granulated sugar down your throat. Five stars J J’s!

Best place I have ever been to for key lime pie! Great pies, cookies and even frozen key lime dipped in chocolate on a stick. Last week I was visiting family in the area and brought two pies and cookies home to Dallas with me on the plane. Great customer service too!

Mom was feeling a little down so I went to get her a key lime pie. They are her favorite and JJ’s happens to make a phenomenal one. I’ve yet to try anything else yet but five stars for the product and for the friendly atmosphere. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. They offered my son a free cookie which was very sweet and something you don’t see often enough. Will definitely be going back when our next sweet tooth arises.

I have been to Gradys 3 times. On my 3^rd trip I ordered a cake for my daughters 2^nd birthday. The scheduled pick up time was for Sunday at 11 am. Not only did they NOT have the cake they said they didn’t have the order for it. Then the owner called a few people. So 30 mins before my daughters party I’m begging Publix to fix us a particular design/​cake. The owner took down my information and said she’d call me back. She did apologize however I never got a call back and for me this was hurtful as this was for my baby’s birthday. Never again will I go to this company. They really let my family down and the nerve not to call me to follow up.

Best Key Lime pies in town!!! This a a great bakery if you get the chance stop in and check it out and if you don’t like pies try there awesome Key Lime cookies can’t go wrong there!

I got a tiny key lime pie for the boyfriend. He really liked it. I got a red velvet cupcake for myself. It said it had cream cheese frosting on it but didn’t taste like cream cheese frosting to me. Just really really sweet white frosting. The cupcake was just ok.

I love key lime pie… and this place is at the top of the heap when it comes to the best I’ve ever had.
While paying for it, I explained to the cashier that I had a pretty phenomenal one at a restaurant a few nights earlier… she asked me which one (as they provide desserts to several places) When I told her the name of the restaurant (Molly Goodheads) she told me that was one of the places they provide desserts to.
Key lime pie, peanut butter pie, coconut cream pies, banana cream pie, cookies, tarts, etc, they sell it all here.
The only downside is that the signage for the store isn’t that great from the street, so if you’re not looking closely for it, you’ll miss it.

Why did I not know this place existed??? We stumbled upon it while trying to find Frenchy’s Stone Crab Company (which was supposed to have been open when we visited but wasn’t — boo).
I’ve seen restaurants promoting they serve JJ Gandy Pies but I had no idea this wonderful baker had a little store front counter where you could buy all their awesome treats!
Not at all planning on buying sweet treats, we bought some anyways because they looked so enticing. We got several huge muffins (pistachio, blueberry, cinnamon crunch — $ 2.50 each) and a dozen key lime cookies ($ 10) — everything was so delicious and tasted homemade. They have beautiful pies, cookies, muffins, home made frozen chicken pot pies, frozen cheese balls rolled in parsley and nuts, chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, and other sweet treats available for purchase on site. They will do cakes to order too — can’t wait for a bday to order one!
Update: have tried the single serving Chicken Pot Pie (very good but not worth the $ 5.75 in my opinion), and the Peanut Butter and Banana Cream Pies — both pies were too light & fluffy for my liking, felt like I was eating a whipped cream pie — boo. Pecan Pie and German Chocolate Cupcakes are delicious! I’m beginning to think they should hype their cake-​type items (cupcakes, muffins) more than their pies ;)

I hate Key Lime Pie. At least, I did before I tried JJ Gandy’s Key Lime pie! My whole family loves it. We have also tried their pumpkin chiffon and wow — that’s all I can say!

JJ Gandy is a family owned Business that’s been around since the 80’s making the best pies in the area, a favorite with the locals and afar. I’ve had every dessert they offer. Some of my absolute favorites… Banana Cream Pie, Coconut Cream Pie, Pumpkin Chiffon (seasonal) Peanut Butter Pie and Lemon Cream. They have a Chocolate Cake that will put u in a Chocolate Coma. Awesome cookies. The Key Lime and the Gingerbread men are my favs. There is no where to sit FYI. This is a specific order and pick up Bakery. They also take walk-​ins and will sell u anything they have available, but I would call ahead to guarantee the dessert u want. If you’re eating local u can ask if they feature JJ Gandy desserts, most likely they will, and have a handful to choose from. They deliver all the way from Ozona throughout the Tampa Bay Area. If you’re in the area, u should stop in and try one of their delicious desserts. Jodi the daughter is a sweetie and is usually on the premises.

Best keylime cookies ever! Very expensive for cookies, but worth it. Nice tastings available. So if you dont like it, dont buy it.

My fiancé and I sought the best key lime pie in the Tampa Bay area when we decided that we wanted an assortment of desserts for our wedding in lieu of wedding cake. I think we tried about 5 different key lime pies within a week, from Brandon to Clearwater, all claiming to be the best. JJ Gandy’s won our taste test contest, hands down. It’s no wonder that they’re stocked in numerous Pinellas County restaurants, or that they’ve been around for years. Since they won our hearts with the key lime pie, we ordered all of our pies from them: peanut butter, apple, pumpkin, pecan. All were incredibly well-​received at our wedding and afterward. We highly recommend them and can’t wait to be back in the area to have more!

JJ Gandy’s is my fav place to indulge my sweet tooth! Besides their famous key lime pie, they have a large selection of other fruit pies, tarts, cookies and ice cream offerings. No need to slave over a hot oven baking, just call JJ Gandy’s and place a custom order when you are entertaining.

It saddens me deeply that people think this is the «best key lime pie» in Tampa Bay, or the «best key lime pie ever.» The key lime pie that they sell here is a travesty and an embarrassment to the original key lime pie invented by Bahamians in the Florida Keys all those years ago.
This is not what a great key lime pie is supposed to taste like. This pie tastes thick (because they use thickeners) and bitter (because they used bottled citrus juice). I took one bite and threw it in the garbage can.
I also tried the pecan pie and the peanut butter pie. The pecan pie was OK.
The peanut butter pie had a weird, fake taste. And also some bitterness.
These people cut corners, and you can tell by the way the food tastes.
If you are picky about your food or your sweets, do not waste your time or your money with this place.

Ok so the key lime pie is good — that is easy to Unilocal about. I could tell you how you should go and try it and fall in love with the creamy tart, but instead I will tell you it’s about the customer service! Southern hospitality at its finest… by the way the orange cookies had me at hello!

Hands down this place has the best key lime pie anywhere.
What most people don’t know is they also bake incredible custom cakes. The prices for the cakes are about what you would pay at your local grocery store.
For my birthday, my wife had a pirate cake made with key lime filling and a mini key lime pie on top. My daughter went in to order her sweet sixteen cake. It was like an episode of cake boss. She wanted triangles suspended in mid-​air. They were so patient trying to accommodate her while applying the laws of physics. These cakes came out great. see posted pics
I went in the Sunday before Thanksgiving to order a custom cake they had to bake 3000 pies that week but they still accommodated me and baked me an awesome cake for my wife’s birthday. These people are wonderful.
If you are anywhere near Palm Harbor, FL, you need to visit them.

Hands down, the best key lime pie I’ve ever had. I request a J.J. Gandy’s pie for pretty much every special occasion… they are just that good. The creamy texture of the filling is something I just can’t create on my own.
In addition, their key lime cookies and their key lime cake are almost as good as the pie! This year for my birthday, I had the pleasure of having a key lime cake. It was beautifully decorated, the cake was fluffy, and there was a healthy amount of key lime pie filling inside!
Seriously, go order a key lime pie from J.J. Gandy’s. Now.
