One of my favorite restaurants in Palm Desert. Try to get the outside seating. I love the coconut shrimp and ahi poke. We took my niece and 3 year old grand niece and she loved it. We sat outside and the atmosphere and staff superb. They also have a great happy hour.

Last Friday March 4, 2016, six of us visited your restaurant. Three couples, one from Palm Desert, one from Napa and the other couple from Sacramento. Our Server was Bruce and made our experience great, He made sure everyone was happy with their meal and went the extra mile.

The food was excellent, on par with the fine restaurants. The cocktails are great. Waitstaff polite and helpful. My only complaint is that the ambient noise level is high and carrying on a conversation with middle-age people with hearing loss is difficult. But I’m sure this complaint will fall on deaf ears(lol).

Excellent lunch experience in the outside, nicely shaded patio. Waitress was the nicest, most accommodating waitress I’ve worked with in a long time. I ordered fish tacos, guac and plantain chips. The food came promptly, was tasty, full of well-balanced flavors and was well presented. Very nice experience in Palm Springs.

Food and service were excellent. I don’t go to Palm Desert often, but the next time I do, I’d like to come back to have a meal here. The patio offers great panoramic views and live music when we were there, so be sure to dine out there. The food itself was amazing. I love the entrees they offer. Definitely got that island/seafood nailed, and it’s yummy.

So, it’s pretty amazing. Coming back here after 8 months and the bartender, Roy, remembers you and your friends. As posted on the previous review about him he is amazing. Love Tommy Bahamas

Thrilled! Nailed the Mai Tai! Myer’s Rum float and all. Only thing that would make it perfect would be crushed ice. Our server, Bruce was on point. Even though I was a little disappointed with the Snapper, he fixed the situation without a blip. We have found our new favorite in the desert. Seating on patio is just divine. Flavors and aromas extraordinary. Service almost perfect. Only complaint would be the hostess who rolled her eyes when we requested a table song the rails of the patio and when I kindly told her they were out of TP in the ladies room she snapped back«yeah! I got it!» Fish sandwich is highly impressive! We finished off our meal with the signature Pina Colada cake and to the very end Bruce did not let us down. As we left the restaurant the hostess shift had changed and we found Ashley to be an absolute delight. All and all a positive experience.

First familiar with this chain in Hawaii. Visitors are surprised to find one here in the desert. But it’s delightful and here is why. Greeters are very nice AND earnest(they get the job done!) in finding you a seat or table even if invisible to you. The menu is consistent across the chain or at least 90% so; I recognize it. One of my favorites is the Fish Sandwich. It’s quite large and delicious; maybe one of the more pricey fish sandwiches in the valley but… have to try it at least once. The best thing(besides appetizers, drinks, great desserts) is the outdoor patio that overlooks the span of the Coachella Valley – oh my, our visitors Love this vista(I do too) so it’s worth getting there. Just go at an ‘off-hour’ which I haven’t quite figured but it means something like having your evening meal at 3:30 — 4:00 latest. Crowds start pouring in after that. I think there’s a methodology about Where you sit on the patio too. If you want to chat and lolly-gag while drinking and nibbling, then do everyone a favor and sit on the way-more comfy couches and overstuffed chairs closer to the rail. The picnic table style-wooden tables and chairs(which you will share with others) are, I think, intended for a more perfunctory visit and as such, since table turnover = profit, you will feel a bit of pressure to eat/drink up and leave when finished; talk someplace else. That’s how it’s felt; I don’t work there. And I don’t even mind; I get it, especially during ‘season,’ everybody’s hoping, hoping to make an extra buck. Just think about it when you select a seat and be thoughtful to your waitpersons who may be under a wee bit of pressure to help turn those tables over efficiently. Did I say, food is great and it’s worth going there? If not, I meant to. That coconut/rum(not its name) cake is my favorite, always.

Not so superb this visit and very disappointed with the operation of staff and service. Night and day difference. I imagine they were busy last night for new years eve because today, glasses and played were spotted and dirty, limited food options and lots of menu items unavailable. Took twenty minutes before we got attention, and that’s just because we flagged someone down. I could go on but my patience is gone. Manager did come by to the table and offered drinks and apps with apologies. Nice touch! Whew!

Here for my 2nd lunch in 2 days… Yes it is that good! Killer hand crafted cocktails love their Grapefruit Basil martini and Mango Habanero margarita as well as the Southern charm and the Baja margarita. The piña colada was delish and literally was dessert in a glass, a fabulous adult milkshake. Can’t go wrong with any of the drinks along with a good wine list and beer selection. Took fellow helpers suggestions and tried the amazing steak salad, the jumbo lump crab salad, blackened fish tacos, the chicken lollipops and the steak flatbread. Omg good, every single bite of everything! Service and ambience were great too. Class act just like everything Tommy Bahamas’s brand stands for.

If I could I would give this spot a 4.5– I was very surprised by the quality of food, drinks and the attention of the staff. I have never been to a Tommy Bahamas but gotta say this is a great spot to stop in and you can’t beat the location… Cheers.

The patio is gorgeous right now even in the winter… Enough heaters. Gorgeous ambient lighting & relaxing music… Fresh air… Palm Trees… Ahhhhh… The food is always so yummy! Tonight I had the Branzino Fish… So Yummy! I usually hate Jicama but honestly the way they made it with the Roasted Corn & stuff… YUMYUMYUM! Hubbs had the Brisket Tacos… he loved them! A good appetizer to try is the Goat Cheese encrusted in Macadamias & topped with fresh Mango Salsa served with thin artisan crackers. Yum Mango ice tea is unsweetened, fresh, and just plain delightful! ;-) Service by Rachel was wonderful! I’m so relaxed & full now! Mmmm

Another amazing meal at Tommy Bahamas. Came in for celebration of our 24th anniversary, and are so thankful we did. Our server(Katherine) was absolutely amazing, providing insight and recommendations that all turned out to be amazing. And this girl was hustling the entire time we were there with tables of high school students, and a large outside party. Food: we’ve dined at Palm Desert 7⁄8 times and have always had amazing food, tonight was no exception. Thank you again, Tommy Bahamas for a great anniversary celebration!

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with friends and family. The service and food were excellent! Atmosphere relaxed and decorative in typical Tommy Bahamas style. We enjoyed the rib eye, filet, crab stuffed shrimp and the kids had sliders. Everyone cleaned their plates! Ask for the bread. Unique four pointed load that comes with maple butter which was incredible. In addition, order the coconut shrimp and hoke over avocado appetizers. You can’t go wrong!

After the disaster of a lunch we had at Maracas in Rancho Mirage, I felt like I was the Queen of England while dining at Tommy Bahamas. They were attentive and friendly, even though they were busy. We found a hair in our coconut shrimp and not only did they remove the shrimp from our bill, but the manager came over and apologized and offered us a free app. This is customer service at it’s best! Get the goat cheese macadamia appetizer. I could have literally picked it up and took a bite out of it, no crackers needed. I WILL be returning here during this vacation.
