The best thing that could happen to their $ 3014 oz. rib eye is to grind it up into hamburger, of course they would probably foul that up too. Service is equally disgusting. Bottom line, avoid this place.

Unfortunately, this was a bad experience. We are Platinum Elite Lifetime members of Marriott and try to use property restaurants when we are guests. Poor customer service and poor attention to detail for The Grill. The food wasn’t bad but the timing was about 30 minutes order to table for a wedge salad. 15 minutes more for a burger. Basically no one at the bar when we ordered. Disappointed.

PROS: The resort in which the Grill is located is stunningly beautiful. The restaurant has great views of the surrounding golf course and is very well designed. The staff was generally friendly. CONS: We had a fairly large group of 12 people and our food took nearly an hour to come out. It’s somewhat understandable because we had a large party, but when one of us asked the status on the food the server condescendingly said: «well the chicken takes 20 minutes to cook». While her answer may very well be true, it didn’t account for the remaining 40+ minutes it took to get our food. SUMMARY: Long wait times happen from time to time for this or that reason, but the food was overly expensive and the service was pretty subpar for the price. The only reason I would come here again were if I stayed at the resort, for convenience’s sake.

We came here for a friends birthday and it was not a great experience. First, the server forgot to take my boyfriends order after taking everyone at the tables order, second the food took nearly one hour to get here it was ridiculous. Also, it smelled very strongly like fish as we walked in it was pretty gross. The manager was here so I would have expected the place to have been run much better and smoother. It’s shocking he was there actually. A server overheard us talking about how the food was taking forever and she said that some food takes longer than others, letting us know the chicken takes about 20 minutes after 45 minutes of waiting… And she was very sassy about it. Overall ambiance is okay. I would recommend eating outside of the hotel. The food was actually surprisingly good when it finally arrived.

We have eaten at The Grill three times and have been very happy with our meal. The roasted chicken is well seasoned with good mash potatoes and crisp fresh vegetables. The wedge salad was huge and very good. The Ruben sandwich was excellent and the potato chips are freshly made. The Cesar salad with fresh grilled salmon was delicious. I would recommend the Grill.

Had an early dinner the Grill(formerly Faldo’s). Enjoyed great salads, steaks and pork chops. The garlic mashed potatoes were awesome; so was the polenta. Service was close to perfect. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting and features a lively, fun bar. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This was our second time here and while very convenient while staying at the resort– The Grill itself is lackluster. Once we came as a party of 6 and once as a party of eight. The menu is small– the food is ok on a good night but hardly great. The restaurant seems to have a hard time serving guests their entrees at similar times as both times we were here one or two dinners came out 5 – 15 minutes later than the rest. The pork chop with polenta and plum is their best dish but try serving it hot next time instead of lukewarm. For the location, the prices and the quality of the resort– they do not live up to expectations. Drive 5 – 10 minutes outside the resort– we will next time

4 stars strictly for the prime rib special(ONLYONTUESDAYS) which is $ 26 for a prime rib that is about 10 – 12 oz, mashed potatoes, and some string beans and carrots. Also it comes with a salad or soup and a crème brûlée. The rest of their food is pretty generic and not very special. The prime rib tasted amazing and was really tender. Their crème brûlée was amazing! But it tasted more like a panna cotta which is probably why I liked it so much haha. If you’re at Shadow Ridge on a Tuesday, definitely go for the prime rib, otherwise you’re better off with other restaurants in the area.

I recently dined here and has the double cut pork chop. It was really good, and the service is always friendly and attentive. If you go on Tuesday be sure to get the prime rib, which is not on their regular menu. I recommend that you call ahead and make a reservation. I also had their Caesar salad, southwest taco salad, and sandwiches. Everything was delicious.

We really enjoyed our meal here at the Grille at Shadow Ridge. We had just checked in and didn’t feel like leaving the resort so stopped in. Waiter was very attentive and helpful in choosing entrees. Chicken tortilla soup was delicious as was the caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes. Pesto chicken Flatbread was tasty as was the penne with grilled shrimp with leftovers too! We will definitely return. Like the new bar too!

Food was okay(salad and steak). Service was attentive. The place looks more like a combination of cafeteria and sports bar, not too inviting.

Ate lunch here in between rounds. ordered the blue cheese burger. It had great flavors but was really soggy because I ordered it medium rare, some places good it right and others cook to where its mushy and soggy. didn’t like that part of it. service was good, would eat here again if we played the course again.

Big disappointment. Went there last night to try the Restaurant Week first they didn’t even offer it to us but after we asked we got one copy. Overall a big let down. The salad was swimming I dressing, a steak ordered MR came out well then we are told that was the last one. Got a rib eye instead which was very fatty But ok. Ran out of the apple cobbler and got a heap looking Denny’s style sundae instead. Service near the end of the meal was spotty at best but a nice server just the same. I thought being a part of Restaurant Week was a chance to show your best side. Yikes, don’t come here as it’s not a very good side of things.

Nice family setting and good enough for lunch, but wouldn’t go there for dinner with all the other choices in town unless you’re staying at the resort and don’t want to drive anywhere. However, with that being said, we did. We had a nice enough meal, but not relaxing after a busy day. The food was average, but the service was very good. Overall it was a good value, but not a place to take a date.

The last time I ate here it was still called Nick Faldo’s something or other. Not much has changed since then in terms of restaurant quality. After asking our waiter if this was the old Nick Faldo’s(I couldn’t really remember) he told us all about their renovations and the changeover. I actually didn’t even notice the entire place had been redone. Let’s talk food because, honestly, you’re only eating here because you’re too lazy to use the kitchen in your timeshare and you don’t want to drive outside the complex. I get it. The food here is excellent. I had the most delicious pork chop I’ve ever eaten, cooked to succulent perfection and thick as Jessica Simpson’s thigh. I was amazed the portion was so generous, since most places give you just enough when it comes to really good food. I like to gorge and be a gluttonous pig. This was ideal.

Truly delicious — we have a timeshare at the Marriott and look forward to seeing Oscar, the bartender each time. Wonderful customer service. The chicken wings are the best we have ever had. Have never had a bad meal!

We stopped for appetizers and drinks after golfing. We ordered the happy hour appetizers — garlic fries, egg rolls, Chipotle BBQ chicken wings, hot mustard chicken wings.(We ordered the ribs, but they were out.) The food was good — not fantastic, but what you might expect. Happy hour prices were good. We sat outside on the balcony — it was a beautiful night — the view was gorgeous. Our server was attentive. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. I would stop in again.

I was visiting my family over Christmas and was enjoying their Marriott timeshare at Shadow Ridge. I decided to take everyone to an early dinner on Christmas Eve at The Grill because it was close. And we have 3 young children. I was impressed at the quality of the food. It’s your typical American fare. They had a kids’ menu and kids’ cups, which was a bonus for me. Nothing is OMG special, but it is a nice American food place. The service was slow, but that may have been my perception bc I had kids. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. I had the Caesar salad. My MIL had the pear flatbread, and it was great. My husband had the filet and enjoyed it too. The rolls are great. We’ll be back, mostly for the convenience, but the food makes it definitely worth coming.

Formerly the Faldo Grill which went under — this is located at the Marriott Vacation Club Shadow Ridge. The Grill is a combo — sports bar and restaurant. It was a long day, didn’t feel like driving and decided to have dinner here. There’s free wifi which was nice since the wifi in my room wasn’t working. The Grill offers a couple of pool tables and a sit down bar and a dinning area for in house dinning. I opted for the 14 oz rib eye topped garlic butter. The waiter switched out fries instead of mash potatoes and the meal included a veggie mix. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the sides were solid also. All this for $ 28.00 which was reasonable. I opted for the berri pana cotta which was just decent. Service was friendly and prompt so I would return here again.
