Hibachi City Buffet

Returned to this place last Wednesday night, with my wife and 2 kids, a 9 year old and 18 month old daughter. I requested to the lady who greeted us to kindly sit up at the corner booth if possible to avoid bothering other customers, since my daughter needs to be on a high chair, and tends to be a little loud when she is happy.
To make the long story short, food was ok. Not much option with sushi rolls since the guy stopped making them. (We got there at 7pm).
The reason my score is one star is because our server, Andy, never did any serving, aside from the attitude he had. When we were walked in by the the lady hostess, he complained already why we had to be put further from other tables. He then came and «snatched» the small receipt that includes our drink order, and took his time to bring a high chair.
NEVER CAME BACK FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF OUR STAY TO ASK FOR DRINK REFILLS, PICK UP USED PLATE OR ASK IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING.
In fact, after we were all done, we had to go to the cashier since he never gave us a receipt. The lady in the cashier, with a name tag says «manager» asked if we have the receipt, i told her «NO, because we never had a server that gave us anything.» Not sure if it was a language barrier but she just smiled back like I was joking.
Final notes, EATING HERE IS FINE. AVOID HAVING THE SERVER NAMED ANDY WITH GLASSES! I would have expressed my concern at the moment with the ‘manager’ but did not have time due to errands we had to run that night.
ANDY, you suck at customer service.

This was probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life! The food quality was very low. The service was less than acceptable. To make things worse, I had two children who threw up all their food within 10 minutes after leaving the restaurant. I called to talk to a manager, but she couldn’t understand me. I tried to explain that my children got sick from their food, but after not getting the message through I told her, «It’s OK.» Five minutes later I get a phone call back from another manager that can speak better English. She called to tell me that I was the problem. She demanded that I go to the doctor to see if we were sick. She wouldn’t take any responsibility for the low quality food and how it upset our stomachs. She was so rude to me! I don’t recommend that anyone goes to this restaurant. What a complete waste of time and money!

This has really gotten better. It’s much cleaner and a lot more choices for lunch. Love the variety of sushi they offer.

As much as I want to give this place a 3 star, I just cant. Food was cold except for the hibachi. My hibachi ingredients were shrimp, beef and squid. All of them was overcooked. Although price was good enough,;I believe it was $ 8 something for lunch, I can’t stand the temperature of the food. Hibachi ingredients like the chicken was swimming on its own goo. It should be on a cold container atleast.
Maybe I was just hungry but I’m not coming back. It’s not worth another $ 8 of my money.

For the price, this buffet is probably the best around the valley. First time for the hibachi grill, usually stay with the raw fish back by the sushi area

Hmmm… As the 2 star rating says «Meh, I’ve experienced better»…
The food was … OK. The price was … OK. The atmosphere was … OK. The layout was … less than OK. It was set up like a soup-​kitchen food line — you start at A and go through to H… There’s a lot of space in the joint, but it was still kind of noisy…
Oh, and one of our party got sick later that night… Coincidence? Probably not…
Lots of parking and easy to get too. But chances are I won’t be going again.

Not bad for $ 12.45 per adult. They have snow crab legs, craw fish, hibachi grill BBQ. Soups are good too. Can’t complain for this price. The service is good. We have a group of 11 and they don’t mine for us to have a split check. Definitely come back when we are out here again.

Nothing to expect here. Really not sure if I recommend anyone to go here. The fruit section was frightening. They literally looked like a bad batch donated to them because they were desperate.

Descent Asian Style buffet. They offer Sashimi until they see you eating too much. They will STOP refilling the trays until you leave. Typical…
As far as the establishment, it’s clean except the bathrooms.
Average price is around $ 13-​$ 15 per person

Didn’t like the food. For the price I paid I could eat somewhere else a lot better than this place. Everything taste so plan and sushi was just rice. This place sucks!!!‘n

If you want a good variety of Chinese food for a cheap price this is the place to go!!! I have to say the shrimp is my favorite here at this restaurant

This place sucks I went for lunch it just sucked ass the sushi rolls are just rice. flies on the desert and rotten beef on the broccoli beef. my soda cup was not clean neither was my fork n spoon health inspector should roll by seriously

The tables are clean the place is clean and everyone is good the service is really good except one problem the sushi is dry they need to work on their sushi

1^st for everything! Tried Hibachi City Buffet tonight just to see a new place in the valley, for us!
Very clean upon entrance; very good service; very excellent food! Prices for everyone to enjoy!
Parking was adequate and lit for security!
I would have liked to see name badges to know who directly to compliment on service, but all
staff was way above par!
So glad we discovered Hibachi City Buffet and would definitely recommend anyone to try them out!

This place was good, I wasn’t in the mood for a buffet but the hubby and daughter were so we went, if I wasn’t so pregnant I probably would have ate a lot more comfortably. They had a lot of seafood, which I don’t care for, I did taste a couple soups but didn’t care for them, the fruit was good but could have been colder, the Vanilla ice cream was great :) this place wasn’t bad but not super great, it was in the middle.

We stopped at this place while on the road working we went there around 2:30pm for the lunch buffet, was pretty disappointed with the sushi section and most of the food, then we decided to pace ourselves and wait for 3:30 which is when the dinner buffet starts and BOY… They came up with some pretty awesome crab legs and crawfish we pretty much clean them out. The crab legs were really good, the meat came out very easily and they season the crawfish with something that I couldn’t pinpoint what was it but it tasted phenomenal…
My advice when considering this place is don’t go for lunch… Save your money and wait for dinner time !!!

Really not too bad for a inexpensive buffet but I think I need to learn the times when to eat. First off I got the sushi rolls. They were actually really good! For my second plate I kinda wandered around as everything kinda looked too greasy or deep fired. So had some undercooked green beans, teriyaki chicken, and a few others. Really not that bad at all. So I decided to go back for sushi, not this time it was horrible! Even on the same rolls I previously had. Cucumber was still frozen inside, rice was hard and another one was not even edible, I had to spit it out because it was so disgusting. So overall for the price, you get what you pay for, test a few tings out and if they are good, go back for more right away, otherwise be careful.

Edible Asian food.
We especially enjoyed the mapo soft tofu and the Chinese vermicelli stir fry noodles. Very authentic. The Mekong basa fish was very good. Very similar to tilapia in texture, and I liked the Mongolian stir dry beef. The beef was very tender.
There is a hibachi grilled area. You select your items, and they’ll cook it for you on the grill. We just went for the cooked prepared foods.
We skipped the dessert bar. Nothing looked appealing. Except for the soft ice cream that you dispense — vanilla or chocolate or a mix of the two.

Absolutely the worst Asian inspired anything. Food. Buffet. Gag. Everything from the cleanliness to the taste of the food was awful.
The crab and shrimp tasted like water. Even the butter was flavorless.
