Sonny’s BBQ

Good BBQ if your a fan.

We ordered the rib sampler platter so we could try a variety of ribs and were overall disappointed. The dry rub ribs were just that — very dry and tough. The standard style tasted great, but were extremely sparse. The cornbread was dry and stale and the slaw was overly drenched in dressing. Two thumbs down.

We’ve been to this location several times and it has always been great. Quick and friendly service always!

Superfreundlich und gutes Amerikanisches Essen. Beim ersten Mal die Mix Pfanne essen, hier bekommt man etwas von allem. Abzüge bzgl. der Kälte. Selbst für amerikanische Verhältnisse eisig. Warm anziehen.

Best Bbq in town!
In my opinion, Sonny’s is the best BBQ that I tried in FL. There are others that look like Sonnys but the taste just isn’t like it. I typically get the salad bar with a choice of meat which is a great deal for under $ 10. My wife usually get their tender and tasty BBQ pork ribs. On occasion I would even bring my clients to Sonny’s if they are in the mood for BBQ.

Last year we ate here a few times and the ribs were quite good. This time however, the baby backs were so fatty we could only pull off a few skimpy pieces of pork. Not going back. Too bad.

Sonny’s is always dependable, and always tastes the same at every restaurant. We stopped here late one night before arriving at our condo in Orlando, and it filled the bill after a long day of driving from Pensacola. My wife got her usual Big Salad with Ranch, and even though turkey was not on the menu as a choice, server Alex said she could get that, which made her very happy; however, due to the late hour, they ended up being out of turkey, so she got grilled chicken instead and she said it was very good. I was craving ribs, so got the full slab, and they were tender and fell off of the bone, and tasted as good as always. I had corn nuggets for a side item and was happy to pay the upcharge – they were delicious and very hot. I also love their baked beans and they were also good as always. It was two for one on draft Sonny’s red ale, so we each had two and were very satisfied. Good meal, as always. You can always please me with BBQ!
