Do not take your computer to this place. I’m a developer, and know a good bit about hardware. I was in a time crunch after my mom had surgery and thought I had an electrical issue with my computer case. Took it there, first they had me wait a day to hear anything back, then they told me it needs a new motherboard and would not give it back without me paying them $ 75 fee to diagnose it. I went home, did a little research, replaced the CMOS battery, re-seated the REM and it’s all working fine, motherboard is fine. I took pictures, and called them saying that they diagnosed the PC incorrectly and I was able to get the motherboard working in 5 minutes after getting home myself. They would not give a refund and said they would call the police on me for taking my computer back. I should be calling the police on them. They also had my full name, address and password to my computer, so I suspect they took all of my personal information out of it while they had it in custody. Do not trust these people, especially the manager.

If I could give this business less than 1 star, I would. Here’s why: 1. I dropped off an HP laptop for repair on 5÷22÷13. The screen image was flickering on and off when I moved the laptop’s lid. The images on the screen were still visible and I could boot up the machine but the flickering was a nuisance. The technician called me after examining the computer and said that it was due to the cover hinges crimping the monitor wire. I gave them the go-ahead to fix it. 2. A couple of weeks later, I called the shop to find out the status. New hinges had been ordered but had not been delivered to the shop yet and they had no way of tracking them. 3. More time passed and they called me to inform me that the hinges were replaced but the problem had not gone away. Now, they were thinking it was the inverter. When I asked how much more that would cost and they quoted 20-something dollars. It was a reasonable enough price so I told them to go ahead and replace the inverter. 4. Yesterday, July 2, 2013 — nearly 6 weeks after I dropped off my laptop at Easy Computing — they called me to say that replacing the inverter didn’t fix the problem. Now they were thinking the motherboard needed to be replaced. At this point, I told them I wasn’t willing to put more money into the computer as it was several years old. 5. Today I went to pick up my computer and when I arrived at the store, one of the screw-on panels was missing from the bottom of the computer. It took about 10 minutes for the tech to find the panel buried on a shelf somewhere and screw it back on. Then I noticed that the OEM high-capacity laptop battery was gone from laptop and an original-equipment standard-capacity was in its place. «Where’s my battery?» The tech fumbled through a couple of laptops and finally found one with a high-capacity battery that may or may not have been mine. He swapped the two batteries and I paid and was on my way. Was this an intentional swap? I have no way of knowing but it didn’t make me any happier with Easy Computing. 6. Silly me. I didn’t bother to look at the screen when the tech turned on my laptop in the store. When I brought the laptop home and powered it up, I quickly saw that there were no visible graphics on screen. Just greyness and flickering. 7. When I saw that my laptop was actually in worse shape than when I brought it in 7 weeks before — and I was $ 148 poorer — I called Easy Computing and asked for my money back. The owner store initially wanted to give me back the $ 48 I paid upon picking up the computer, but not the $ 100 initial deposit. I argued that I wanted all of my money back since I now had a computer that was in worse shape than when I dropped it off. It’s basically unusable. 8. Easy Computing finally agreed to refund my money in full but they insisted that I drop off the laptop so they could remove the new parts that were installed and put back the original parts!(Gee, maybe the monitor will start working at least some of the time!) 9. In Easy Computing’s defense, they did not charge me for labor, just for the LCD casing and hinges and the inverter board. I guess they felt bad about taking so long and still not fixing my computer. But I can’t recommend that anyone who wants their computer fixed properly to go to this place.
