Did not disappoint. Still like brand new. Only one elevator though. Suites are nice and also nice surprise having a Keurig in the room. I always travel with my own coffee. Breakfast could use more options and oatmeal is instant but typical breakfast fare. Always stay here when in town for business.

Bed bugs!!! Black mold in the bathroom. My husband and I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. The first morning I woke up to a bed bug crawling on my pillow! I ended up with about 12 bites including 5 on my face. My husband has about 5. Management changed our room but in that room we found tons of dust and black mold in the bathroom.

Extremely disappointing!!! The hotel suites are a JOKE!!! Don’t even think about upgrading to the suite! It has a mini fridge with no freezer and a TINY microwave. How is that a suite? Some plastic silverware is available and paper plates. But if you ask the front desk for a knife to cut a tomato or such they don’t have it. Speaking of the front desk they are NOT very helpful and have nothing to help you with. They act like you are here for a night so just deal with our lack of facilities. No one is friendly from the cleaning staff which couldn’t replace my paper plates and plastic silverware even though they cleaned my trash out that was full of them. Didn’t replace my shampoo or conditioner. The doors are so heavy that it takes effort to open them and of course they slam shut so all you hear are doors every morning. The walls are thin. I could easily hear the person in the room next to me snoring. I thought they had commercials stating how good you sleep at these HI express hotels!!! The internet is a JOKE also. Forget about any type of streaming… WHAT A JOKETHISPLACEIS!!! Do not waste your money here… other hotels near by!!!

The newest and nicest place to stay in Palatka currently. I agree with other reviews in the quality and fit and finish of the hotel, though my room had a 1.5 inch gap under the door that allowed lizards to come through. a little weird, plus the under-window ACs froze up on us. Small fitness center with two treadmills, both wearing out. A small pool which was nice. business center with no paper and running out of ink. It feels like people from out of town did a hotel franchise right and it has begun the inevitable decline of its Palatka existence. very nice and helpful staff. Other than that, the best place to stay in Palatka for those who are used to staying in a higher caliber of hotel than what is normally found in P-Town.

Feels more expensive than it is Arriving quite late on a Sunday evening, June 9, 2013 after a long drive from New Orleans through torrential downpours I was quite exhausted. Pulling into this hotel the parking lot was relatively empty with only about 10 cars total in the large parking lot in the front of the building. This building must be relatively new or in great repair it seemed to be freshly painted and in great overall shape. The front desk person had somewhat of a German accent which startled me a bit but she was incredibly friendly even welcoming me as an IG H member when checking in. The lobby felt fresh and modern and well lit. On one of the trips back to gather more luggage from the car I took a peek at the pool area and breakfast area which both seem to be quite nice breakfast area seemed to be on par with some of the Hiltons and Marriott’s I’ve stayed in the past year. The rooms also had a modern feel. We had two queen beds, flat-panel HDTV, small microwave oven, and a small fridge talked up in the cabinet. There was also a sitting/dining/office area with a phone and RJ-45 jack along with an empty power outlet. The closet area had six wooden hangers, three extra pillows and ironing board and an iron. The bathroom was quite a nice surprise and rivaled that of more expensive hotels with nicely tiled floors, a well lit vanity with granite countertops. I slept comfortable with a darkness level of about a nine out of 10. The bed was comfortable and the sheets felt clean and fresh. A very cool feature of this hotel were pillow cases that were labeled with the type of pillow they contained(firm, soft, etc.) this meant that between the three of us we were able to get the pillows we needed for optimum sleeping comfort. I haven’t stayed in a Holiday Inn for quite some time and I must say I was rather impressed. For those travelers out there who regularly stay in Hiltons or Marriott’s you may want to consider looking into a Holiday Inn on your next trip if they all rival this location. If I am ever traveling in this area again I will definitely return to this hotel.
