PGS Gold & Coin

Yet again, Aaron has given me more money for my coins then any other dealer/​shop or craigslist offer.
I’ve visited this shop a total of four times over the past year when I needed to sell gold or silver coins I pick up at auction. In each case, I have put these on craigslist, tried to sell them to other coin shops or pawn shops, and every single time these guys have paid me the most (really they are the only ones who pay me the fair market rate.) It’s so damn frustrating getting low balled by these scum bag pawn shop owners and dealers who try to pay a fraction on what these things are worth, usually under the spot price. I’m not an idiot. I’ve been doing this a long time. I don’t expect to get the highest price ever sold on ebay, but the coins I sell are always rare, collectable or have errors. They are not just scrap (although I have sold a little of that to PGS as well and got more than a fair rate.) Maybe some of these scam artists should take note from the way these guys handle business. You pay people a fair rate and they come back to you time and time again. I’m so done dealing with these other clowns. The only time I sell gold and silver to other places now is when they fuck up and offer me too much, but that’s rare. Aaron and steve (and the lady, I think her name is teresa,) give the best rate hands down. This last time I had a huge lot I needed to offload and got more than I expected. There was one coin aaron thought was worth a lot more because he didnt see it was the common mint mark and I actually corrected him and took less because of how well he has treated me in the past. probably shouldnt mention that, because he really does know his stuff, but this is a relationship business and I would rather he know that I’m not a scammer either. Coin dealers get a bad name by doing shady business on people who don’t know any better, but the hardcore collectors quickly realize who to go with.
Save yourself the headache and get a price from these guys first. I bet you’ll see they offer more money.
Tip: Steve is super nice all the time. Be nice in return and he will take care of you. Aaron can be a bit abrasive when you first meet him, the more you bust his balls, the more he likes you. Just try not to waste their time.

I had a couple rings and pins I wanted to sell, I found this shop «PGS» Had a great experience with Steve very knowledgeable with gold and diamond. Really gets into detail and helps get best possible value.

I stopped into this coin shop about a week ago looking to buy fractional gold and silver bullion. I dealt with the manager Aaron and told him what I was looking for. I explained that I’m buying these as an insurance against the US dollar that I have concerns about. Initially, he began showing me a variety of different coins all with Proof of grading and collector value. He had a ton of these, more than I had seen at almost any shop (even though this was quite a small store.) after some discussion, he understood I did not care about collectors items, rarity or rating that all I needed was bullion as close to spot as possible. He presented me eight world coin’s totaling about an ounce and a half of gold. I told him that was perfect and exactly what I was looking for but that I had some skepticism about the authenticity (especially considering his price was less than 2% over spot .) he understood and promised he would buy them back from me if anything was not the genuine article, he also put this in writing on the receipt. I told him if they were real, and that I would check with my other guy, I would buy more from him in the future and also give him a wonderful Unilocal review. As a man of my word, I did check out the bouillon and received confirmation they authentic. In fact, one of the coins he sold me that have considerable collectors value at almost 3 times what I paid for it. Again, not something I really was looking for but a real nice bonus. All in all, I don’t think I could’ve gotten a better deal anywhere and could not be happier with the service he provided. I have, and would recommend anyone was looking for coins, currency or bouillon to give them a call or stop by their shop. Absolutely, the best selection, best price and best service I have ever received from a coin dealer. Aaron is my new go to guy for buillion.

When you’re dealing with valuables and you don’t know anything about what you are getting appraised, it’s a scary thing. The team at PGS was patient and really explained their methods as well as the history of the coin collection I brought in and set me at ease. Every detail was explained from what they were looking for as well as potential value. I felt extremely comfortable and was extremely happy with the offer made for the coin collection.

Sold some old gold jewelry. Aaron took the time to briefly explain the process. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of cash I received (not a check… CASH). I would refer friends or family and I’ll return again if I ever have anything else to sell. :)

I went to PGS Gold and Coin to get an additional quote from a few other coin stores I had went to and am very happy I did. Besides giving me a good price for my coins, they were professional, courtesy and very knowledgeable.
I’ll be seeking their help and expertise in the future to purchase more coins for my growing passion!

I had a few coins that I got from my grandfather when he passed. I’m not a collector so I wanted to see what they were worth. I stopped in there and met with Theresa. She was an awesome lady and showed me what they were worth. I got a quote and then stopped at a few other places just to compare their quotes. The other places weren’t that great in regards to customer service and PGS actually paid the best prices. I went in back and sold my coins. Found out they also take anything that has any value and will sell it for us. Highly Recommend.

Awesome company, great deal. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We got a better price from them than from anyone else. We shopped around quite a bit. Very good place to go, and they also do home services, which worked out really great for us. I’m very happy with this company and recommend them. We had a old coin collection from our family that we took there and found out it was worth way more than what we thought it might have been. We were so happy.

Aaron was very helpful in giving me information about some old coins I had. He explained about grading and condition and offered what I thought were reasonable prices for them. When I didn’t sell them to him right away he was pleasant and not pushy.

PGS Gold and Coin is a family owned shop, which makes a difference right off of the bat. When you take gold and valuables to other shops, franchised and corporate, I’ve heard horror stories with lowball quotes way under spot price, but not here.
There is one main thing that this other reviewer has not taken into consideration. As an inexperienced seller, you need to understand that gold and most other precious metals trade like stocks. Their values appreciate and depreciate like anything else does. And they can’t buy it for the exact value that it is worth otherwise they don’t make any profit. It’s just business.
PGS boasts great customer service and a friendly environment. I think that, without a doubt, this is the absolute least they can say. This a great company, very knowledgeable, and they will treat you just like family.

Decent, but risky place to sell gold. The guys working in the place were sketchy to me and at first offered a real low price for my gold (old but solid gold jewelry i got when my great aunt died). I told them the price was too low and then they said to wait a few minutes and they went to talk to their manager and then suddenly they could give more… If they could give more why wouldn’t they just say to in the first place. I think it was to see if I was so naïve that they could essentially «steal» my gold and give me way under market value… not cool. I’m sure a lot of people just take the first offer. At the end of the day, they did pay cash and I ended up getting what I wanted, but «seller beware!»
