Take pictures, and save all emails. I offered to install a bathroom exhaust fan if they purchased one. I got a lecture about how code didn’t require one since there was a window present. They purchased the fan after I complained about the mold build up in the washroom. They forgot the Y joint and flex tube to connect to the primary house washroom, my expense! Electrically, a nightmare. There were no accessible boxes in the attic. Everything looped into a hall fixture. I had to cut in a box and pull new wire, my expense. Then I asked If I could put can lighting, again at my expense, in my sons bedroom due to poor lighting. They said no, but would purchase lights if I installed. The moron comes with this ceiling fan with the three lights that came out the bottom of the fan, probably 5 inches above my sons head. I went ahead and installed, another electrical project, thinking the fan was good for air circulation. I took it down the next day and put up a $ 14 fixture that solved the light issue. I did the work because my family lived there. I did a lot of work upgrading because my family lived. The neighbors loved me and were truly sorry we left. We had been the best neighbors in the 29 years they have lived, next door. I have many stories about this management company. A piece of advise, avoid them if at all possible, and remember to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

I hired this company to manage a condo that I took over when my daughter passed away. My thought at the time was that since I live in Chicago it would be less trouble to have someone in Palatine managing the property for me.
I signed a contract for them to lease and manage the condo. The condo was leased almost right away; that was good. Getting them to respond to any of my phone calls, or send a copy of the lease, or sending me the rent is another story. The move in deposit was deducted from my share of the rent (which Landmark said they paid, but apparently didn’t) and so far I have not been able to get it back, not have I been able to pin them down as to when I am supposed to get the rent.
Phone calls are not returned; I guess my next step will be to go to some authority to complain.
Instead of making less trouble for myself by having them manage the condo, I have spent all kinds of time trying to resolve this. I highly recommend that you DON’T use them.

These people are crappy landlords. I was told prior to moving in that my rental unit had additional storage available. After nearly 60 days of getting the run around they basically have backed out of getting me access. Apparently, I am supposed to try and get a key from some of the other people who live in the building because they don’t have one.
Also, when I moved in the place was a disgusting mess, even though they «paid a company to clean» they told me. of course they would not give me even a $ 10 credit for my time or the cleaning supplies I used. I should have taken video and photos of how dirty it was. My fault for not.
Think very hard and long before you enter into an agreement with these people as your landlord.
